I am indeed flattered I have become so popular!! Anyway, I am not going to cry myself to sleep because no one here wishes to see me in my practice- your loss- trust me. I do not need to deal with people who are not proactive about their health and choose to be fat and lazy. Yup, I make contracts with my patients- I will do my part to make sure they stay healthy but they have to do their part as well. And that means diet and exercise and listening to me and a nutritionist. No super-size this and that. I am well aware a lot of people have weight problems and are not happy about it and feel stigmatized but they are not defiant and obnoxious about it like the Glamazons. There is a lot of ignorance spoken with authority by you. The data does not support your arguments- being fat is a tremendous health risk. I am surprised- my patients are thrilled that someone actually CARES enough about them to nag them about their weight and health.
I do not understand why YOU do not understand that my point was the Glamazons send the wrong message- to sex-up plus-size figures in fetish costumes is not attractive. It is not a positive message to women of any age. Frankly, I am not sure I would endorse women with no singing and dancing abilities (like the Glamazons) having svelte figures in those kinds of costumes trying to get votes for being lurid. I think this kind of risque act denigrates women and they should be ashamed of themselves as should you.
I'm not ashamed.
I enjoyed their act and my wife says she didn't feel denegrated. They weren't going to win the $1 million, but they entertained me.
I didn't judge them based on weight and I didn't think that they were wearing fetish costumes.
I found them to be somewhat refreshing in their self confidence and accepted them for what they were - four women who gave up their day jobs to follow their dreams (that's a direct quote).
Interesting that you " do not need to deal with people who are not proactive about their health and choose to be fat and lazy". So what do you do, reject them as patients and tell them to resign themselves to a life of suffering? Last time I checked the Hippocratic Oath kind of strongly suggests that you treat everyone who comes to you.
Oh well, you're right, I won't be coming to see you (at least knowingly), and I don't feel that it will be a loss.
