With talent and a captivating presence, Sarah Lancaster is quickly turning heads as one of Hollywood's ascending young stars. In fact, Entertainment Weekly included Lancaster among its "2004 Must List," a barometer of all that is "smart, sexy, and reeking of power."
Lancaster most recently appeared in the one-hour dramedy, "What About Brian," executive-produced by J.J. Abrams. She portrayed the character of Marjorie, who was in the middle of a love triangle between Brian (Barry Watson) and his best friend (Matthew Davis). Lancaster also garnered attention for her recurring role as Madison Kellner on the family drama series "Everwood.” She previously co-starred as the beautiful and ambitious blackjack dealer Veronica Harold, on the one-hour drama series, "dr. Vegas," with Rob Lowe and Joe Pantoliano.
Lancaster had a memorable arc as Lisa, the attractive gift shop girl and love interest for Zach Braff's character, on NBC's hit comedy "Scrubs." In addition, Lancaster had a recurring role on David E. Kelley's "Boston Public," where she played a snooty high school student running for prom queen.
In addition, Lancaster has guest-starred on such hit television series as "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Six Feet Under," "That '70s Show," "7th Heaven" and "Dawson's Creek. "
On the big screen, Lancaster played a love interest to Leonardo DiCaprio's character in "Catch Me If You Can." "If you blink, you'll miss me," she is quick to offer, "but it was a valuable experience working with Steven Spielberg."
Lancaster was born in Overland Park, Kansas, where she grew up with her younger brother, Daniel. Her mother, Barbara, was a homemaker, and her father, Michael, was in real estate. It was his job that led the family to Mission Viejo, California when Sarah was 10 years old. Soon after the move to Southern California, Lancaster began taking acting classes and immediately landed a talent agent. Following a few months of commuting from Orange County to Los Angeles for auditions, she secured her first professional series regular role, starring as Rachel on "Saved by the Bell: The New Class."
From the time Lancaster was in the eighth grade, she was tutored on set. After she wrapped production on the series, Lancaster, who had been taking college courses at University of California at Irvine to expedite her high school graduation, made the official move to Los Angeles to further pursue her acting career.
Lancaster currently resides in Los Angeles with her two cats. Her interests include art, reading, ballet, working out (especially Pilates) and traveling.

Morgan is the antithesis of Captain Awesome. But he'll have to have a Morgan Makeover.

I’m enjoying the S&M play, Sarah (Landcaster) bashing Morgan with her witty, repulsing lines and Morgan being Ok with it. Hey at least he’s getting attention!! She doesn’t seem to mind him, that being cuz he’s Chucks friend and harmless. I’m looking forward to many more laughs with the two of them.

I've been a fan of Sarah's since I first saw her in Everwood. I was actually sitting 2 tables over from her at a beach-bar in Cabo this summer but couldn't muster the courage to speak to her (and honestly didn't want to interrupt her while she was probably just trying to kick back). All I really wanted to ask was if she had any upcoming projects, but fortunately that question was answered just a few short weeks later when I first saw the trailer for Chuck.
I'm glad to see her in a new show, and I hope her role becomes even more substantial with time. I hope her character's relationship with Captain Awesome works out better than the relationships her previous characters have had, too.

She is a huge part of the show, maybe 3/4. Great casting here.

Here's hoping Sarah's character grows over the season. I'd hate to see such a talented actress given a handful of lines in every episode.

The show is good, but they really need to have Sarah more involved. I was very disappointed when What About Brian was cancelled just because I looked forward to seeing her. Amazingly hot!!!! Note to every network (or studio) I would watch anything with her in it.

I have to say that I haven't been a huge fan of her character thus far, but little tidbits drop out here and there that hint at some cool backstory.
I hope that the chemistry between her and Chuck evens out a little bit. They don't feel like brother and sister enough sometimes for my taste.
At first, I wasn't a fan at all but after painstakingly watching episodes of Chuck in slow motion for
Strahotski.com, I came to appreciate her a lot more.

Did anyone catch Ellie's middle name? I know it starts with an "F" but I can't seem to make out the rest of it.
And who would've thunk? Eleanor... Seriously, Eleanor? No offense to anyone whose name is Eleanor but when I think of that name I think of some old lady who works in a library and is constantly "sh"-shing people. I always thought Ellie was her actual name, not some nickname.

In the world of remakes, I strongly believe that Sarah Lancaster should be the next Wonder Woman. It would be great if she had her own show.

I had that same thought. Seems perfect for the role.
I'm really enjoying her on Chuck. She really brings a lot to the scenes she's in even if they are very short. I hope her role expands on the show. It kinda has to since she Chuck's major source of emotional/moral support. Morgan is to some also but not to the extent of Ellie.

So far the only episodes with more Ellie were the one at Stanford and the one she got poisoned. A significant part of her life is at work at the hospital. Maybe they should have Chuck hospitalized somehow and to show Ellie's side of story.

I think Ellie would definitely confront Chuck about it. She loves his brother, and probably would want him to keep putting himself in dangerous situations.

It would be entirely possible for Chuck to be having problems (Sarah, mission, etc) and Elle to pull the 'I kinda know' card to help support Chuck. Would be more entertaining if she pulled it while Sarah is there. Maybe walk in on something compromising...... (and I mean both romantically and spyish). Elle could brush both items off as, its ok, "i know".

Did he say that? I have to re-watch. There is so much I seem to miss the first go around. If he said that and Ellie did hear it I have to think she would have confronted him about it that episode. I definitely can't see her not confronting him about it last ep (which she wasn't even in). It's too big of a plot point if she heard that.

Just thought about this...
Maybe Ellie dosen't remember what Chuck said right now, but in the future, if Sarah or Chuck uses the words 'government secrets', or something similar, it would trigger that thought in Ellie's memory. That would be a bit ironic, don't you think.

Poor Sarah Lancaster, shes a member of the main cast, and yet hardly gets anytime on air. I swear we see more of Big Mike than her. She finally gets on a good show like Chuck, after her last 2 shows bombed (What About Brian, Dr. Vegas), and she either gets 2 mins per show or doesnt show up at all. Not really fair to her.

I really feel like the brother-sister heart-to-heart has been a missed opportunity for Ellie. C'mon, Chuck breaks up with one girl to date another, then is on-again, off-again with Sarah ... and no Ellie?

I think Ellie is aware Chuck and Sarah may be having problems, but that would only be from her instincts. If Chuck would have told her, we would have seen it. I think the point of it is that Chuck wants to handle this on his own.

I don't know if rushing the Sarah/Chuck tension was a way of building viewership for a new show so that it gets picked up but I feel Ellie has been neglected as a character because Charah was a bit rushed. Because it was rushed they simply didn't have enough time for Ellie because they had to cover so many other things.
Not having an Ellie/Chuck heart to heart was a huge oversight. The Christmas party and Black Friday were significant but I think they could have done with a minute or two less of Buy More and had a quality Ellie scene.

What i noticed, dunno if anyone notices this too, is that chuck and ellie have their bro-sis talk after chuck reaches a milestone in his relationship with sarah or he is faced with a decision that will make him confront his past, to clear his head about things sort of speak. I hope since this milestone in episode 11, we will see another heart to heart for chuck and ellie, where chuck can tell his sister, the truth about their relationship as pertains to the cover. Or they might skip this altogether, who knows! we just want the writers to come back and finish up season 1! we support you writers!!!

Well, in her brief appearance in "Nemesis" there was some indication that Ellie and Awesome were going to spend Christmas away from the gang after their failed Thanksgiving dinner. So her missing from the episode wasn't such a big deal to me. I think they went skiing or something (not really sure).
But I totally agree with you, these past few episodes her screentime has dropped dramatically. It seemed like they used "Truth" to give Lancaster's fans a huge treat before they delved into the deep spy stuff that doesn't really involve her character. Makes sense that they focused more on the heavy storyline because not only were they pressed for time but they wanted to cram as much into the few episodes they had left with the uncertainty of the writer's strike. But it would've been nice to see her have a bigger role in these past few episodes.

The way I see things is that because "Chuck" is a action/comedy/drama, the show must continually put tons of effort into each category so as not to alienate any of its viewers. The reason I think so much of the newer episodes focused on the characters you mentioned is that they pretty much fulfill comedic aspect of the show, while the main characters gave us our fill of the action and drama.
If you look back at these episodes it's pretty apparent that Chuck, Casey, and Sarah's storyline was very light on the comedy aspect because of all the angst. It just so happens because their storyline was essentially, or purely, dramatic the writers had to cut back on the other characters that are inherently more dramatic in order to keep the right balance within the show, which unfortunately includes Ellie. Putting in more Ellie storyline is basically overloading the drama aspect because her character is pretty much Chuck's emotional base, she always gets Chuck to reveal the emotional contents of his mind, etc. That's my take on the situation.

Did anyone else think it weird the way Ellie acted towards Mogan while he was eating her food in the Nemesis episode, during the Thanksgiving Dinner scene. That seemed a bit out of character for her. I mean, I know her and Morgan are kinda friends now, but still.
