Aw, thank you! The sucky thing is its not supposed to happen for a few days. My body just snuck this up on me haha. Whatevs. I guess it will technically be over with faster then. Hopefully its bad for only a day or two then it dies down.

Anywho...yeah same for me about the pimples. My skin was fine, but a couple days ago it got worse. That should've been the warning sign. I was like "whats going on?!?" Then I complained last night about my legs hurting. I'm such an idiot haha. I danced for a couple hours today though, and what they say about exercising relieving symptoms is true. I felt fine during that time. Now all I want to do is go to sleep...which I just may do.

When I wasn't on the pill, I was always worried about that, I never really knew when I was due. I sometimes get like one or two pimples, but the pill blocks that usually. I get leg cramps too, those are awful. Do you get them like on your thighs, like muscle cramps? That's how they are for me. Feel better soon, good night!

I don't know that I would go so far as to say I'm a masochist, but I kinda like the pain from cramps.

Sure, it's he ll when you are going through it, but after...feels amazing.

IDK if it's because you were in severe pain before and the absence of it is awesome, or what, but it's the most relaxing feeling in the world (...well...almost the most relaxing feeling wink.gif ).

Well, without pain there is no pleasure, so I'd say it's just that you can really feel the pleasure when the pain is gone. ITA, it's a good feeling to feel no pain. And, like Brother Justin--Carnivale--said/would say "Pain is an unavoidable side affect" wink.gif!

I *hate* it when the men in my life get involved in business that isn't theirs. For instance, my dad will see me reaching for the bottle of advil so I can take a couple for my cramps. He proceeds to go, "What do you need those for? Your cramps don't hurt." Ooh, and he puts the final nail in the coffin when he goes, "It's all in your head." That p*sses me off to no end, & occasinally my younger brother will chime in. Excuse me, but they will never, ever have to endure the pain of periods & child birth so they should just shut their traps & sit down. A swift kick in the nuts is probably nothing compared to those two things. mad.gif

I bought tampons once, but I could never quite bring myself to do it! Congrats on that though. I go to the gyno, but since I'm not sexually active, I don't need to get examined.

I had cramps in my right hip and lower back all day, and in last period (around 11:15-12:10) I got some in my stomach. I also feel sick and I'm spotting, but the last pill I have to take is on tuesday night. sad.gif It's a good thing I have an appointment with my gyno/doctor tomorrow, but it doesn't make it suck any less.

I guess I should ask my doctor tomorrow how to put it "in" (sorry, I know TMI). I would love not having to wear pads, and be able to go swimming on the first couple of days of my period. Maybe I'll give it a shot this month (which should be by the end of this week). Thanks for the encouragement!

When I wanted to try tampons when I was 13 my mother said no. And gave me alist of crazy reasons not to. But when I started going to the gym I tried them and they are a God send. Glad you had a good visit pam.

Tampon Talk. I remember my mom finding a box of tampons in my bathroom when I was 16 and freaking out on me about how virgins shouldn't wear them! dry.gif Whatever, Mom. FGC, your gyno will tell you this I'm sure, but try Tampax pearl or another plastic applicator one when you try them out. The original cardboard ones are much more difficult to use.

That sounds really awesome.

I'm still looking for makeup (that isn't Bare Minerals) thats non comedogenic and still gives good coverage. It's so annoying.

I'm also trying to find a hair product that's not oily that I can use because I think that helps clog up my pores. I have one kind of in mind though, I just have to wait till I get my hair cut to use it.

Haha I pictured the make-up artist taking a windex-type bottle and just spraying the girl...thanks for the clarification! I would've been left with a very silly image in my head. And now that I'm clear on what you were saying, that sounds amazing! I want a spray on foundation!

Question. I'm desperate for new shampoo. I want one that wont make my hair greasy (my hair is blonde and thin, so it really shows when the shampoo is too heavy), will make my hair shinier and brighter (it feels dull), and that smells good. Suggestions?

nioxin is amazing to keep your hair thick and healthy..... doesn't smell great but not horrible.
their products are amazing as well. my hair is usually flat on top but when i use the root lifter spray.... it's unbelievably full of body. i love the stuff. they also have scalp therapy that you spray after you use the shampoo/conditioner. it's all good. my last stylist warned me against using cheap products that just smell good. ??? who knows. i do love the nioxin though. (glad we changed the topic... i'm 29 and still get embarassed talking about you know what blush.gif )

I use Pantene during the week, and then use something called "Sunday Shampoo" from Bumble and Bumble that strips all the residue from hairspray, mouse, whatever from the hair, (but there are other brands, Neutrogena and Pantene both have a version). It really helps keep the flat-look away.

I alternate a lot cause I find if you use the same one for a long time your hair will get greasier faster. I like The Body Shop products and I use the Nettle Oil Balance Shampoo. It's lite and has pretty natural ingredients and Body Shop doesn't test on animals, all their products are great biggrin.gif!

I also use Camp Suds, which is a biodegradable soap you can use as dish soap, body wash, shampoo, etc. I like it cause it's also quite lite and has nontoxic ingredients so it doesn't get my skin all oily and pimply. But it might be harder to find. If you want something similar, just look for an biodegradable soap at a outdoors supply store or something.

I would suggest trying to find something with few good nontoxic ingredients, it won't be as harmful on your hair and skin. Oh, and both the recommended shampoos smell great smile.gif!

I use the Pantene Smooth(green lettering) shampoo & conditioner, it is for straight and curly hair and does a great job, IMO. I use Prell once a week to strip all the crap off as well. My kids know not to use 'my' shampoo as it results in long lectures and never ending guilt trips tongue.gif

To this day my mother has never given me a talk. I was horrified when I first found out what a tampon was and even more afraid to try it...but you will be better for it, trust me. Just try it once. If it's not your cup of tea, then it's not, but you should still try it.

I use Biosilk shampoo/conditioner. It's expensive, but my BF is a stylist and gets it for me cheap.
Fancy_New_Becca
I really like Redken shampoos. The one in the blue bottle works best and it smells like baby powder. Otherwise I just use a simple everyday shampoo and herbal esscense damage control conditioner. it's amazing stuff
prettyinpink86
I only use shampoos & conditionars(sp) from the salons, as the drugstore ones dry my hair out, taking away the softness & shine. I recommend the California KMS set, or anything from Joico, which is another excellent brand. Ooh, and Biolage is fab too for the tresses. Trust me, the extra dollars spent in the end is so worth it for the beautiful hair. I'd rather be broke with salon worthy hair that have a few extra dollars with drab, dull hair. I'm the kind of person who will buy professional products ie makeup, hair products to look & feel good biggrin.gif. Healthy hair=happy person. Maybe that's why I never have spilt ends & maybe that's why my hair is able to retain water...
mambo_no_5
I ended up buying some Pantene stuff. The other Pantenes were creamy, and I read that blondes should use only clear shampoos because the cream-based ones are too heavy. It looks pretty convincing. I'll tell you guys how I like it tomorrow!

I had the DepoProvera shot, which is for 3 months of BC. Even though I dont need BC since my tubes are tied, i got it to try to cut down on heavy-ness during the tide. I knew there were side effects but they seem to have hit me all at once today.

Sometimes being a woman is a pain in the patootie.
