Bmac, you broke my heart with this one. I'm glad she felt okay about it later, but NOT NICE.

One year my little brother had a birthday party, and no one came. Nightmare right? I still cringe when I think about it.

I think we got maybe 8 trick or treaters this year. Beats the 6 from last year. But we went out with the kids until they were ready to drop. We got home, put on pajamas, Samantha laid down on the couch with Daddy for a minute, and poof! They were both fast asleep about 3 minutes later.

I passed out candy last night. We live at the very end of the street and only one other surrounding house passes out candy, so I only got two groups of kids and one little girl. All the little girls were obsessed with my cats who were sitting at the door, looking outside.

I passed out around 1:30 am or there abouts. Since I'm sick, I actually sent my mom on a discount candy run. Oh yes, I will not miss out of half off candy.

Wow...thank you everyone. That put me in pretty good mood!








Awwww Bmac That makes me soooo sad! I feel for her. How hard would it have been for the other girl to call her? Oh my goodness, that just pi$$es me off!

OMG, bmac, that is so sad. I am glad your daughter got over it so quickly, but that is just so sucky of that girl.

Oh, I'm so sorry bmac! Maybe she'll decide to go one last time next year. Goodness knows we saw LOTS of teenagers out trick-or-treating, just like the little kids.

^^^^I know!! I was going to comment on her hair too, but I didn't want to make her uncomfortable. But..it totally reminds me of those Pantene commercials where the girls have that perfect shiny hair that's so smooth and silky. I would kill for hair like that. Not really, but I'm very jealous.

That's so funny because I was unhappy with it yesterday! I had forgotten my curling iron at home and I was going to refresh before the carnival. Lol, I am getting it trimmed soon, it's getting too long. Bmac..I never get uncomfortable with compliments! !

I hope that mom is aware of what her daughter did.

This is the jet pack we made for him. It's hard to see, but there are two electrical tea lights at the bottom. They showed up really great in the dark, and as a nice safety bonus they made him much more visible.

I was supposed to go to another Halloween party tonight...well two actually, but I'm not in the mood to be around a bunch of drunks, nor do I want to dress up again so I went to dinner and watched a movie with my best friend and I like just being able to relax.

A Halloween party after Halloween? I've never really heard of that before.

BTW, It still bothers me that they air the Simpsons Tree House of Horror episodes after Halloween. They've been on the air forever. Can they never just once air it before or on Halloween?

College kids have to party on the weekends. I'm not sure why they weren't last weekend, unless some of my friends decided to save money and buy everything half off or because we get an extra hour tonight.

The World Series messes it up every year. Until FOX loses the baseball coverage, I don't think it's going to change. But I'm with you--it bothers me, too!

I saw Christmas stuff at our Hallmark store in June and about had a fit. Then I saw they were closing up and everything was on clearance. Whoo hoo for me!

I am going to be a fisherman this year. I have the waders and boots and hat. Already taking hooks off of some of the lures I want to attach to the hat. I have a pole and short net. All I really need is to find an old cheap creel.

After our umpteenth viewing of The Dark Knight, my 11yo girl wants to be Nurse Joker for Halloween ................... Yes i am going let her!

well I believe in bringing the scary back in halloween and I'm all about big costumes.

So I'm going to do a day of the dead type thing. I'm going all zombied out and I'm doing a take of the pregnant chick from day of the dead and aliens. So there will be a zombie baby trying to come out of stomach. Oh yes. It's all about gross and scary and how did I manage to do that with items mainly from a grocey store I LOVE HALLOWEEN.

The halloween super stores are open so I need to pick up a few small items and some stuff from the toy department and hit the grocey store for the other. I dont expect to really spend either more than 25 or 30 bucks

Yes, it is, and I just realized I am running late on my Halloween card shopping. Those godkid cards go fast.

I was at Big Lots a couple of days ago and they have started to display their Halloween stuff. I bought a bag of "body part" chocolates which got me started on a Halloween idea. The local animal charity where Mr. Ultra_temp volunteers is running a Halloween pet costume contest at our local dog-friendly mall. I'm thinking of dressing my little doggy up as a Wizard and being his Egor. We'll have a cauldron of body parts and milkbones. He knows how to dance, and I will have to work up a trick with a magic wand.

EXACTLY!!! That is why I go so early--we have three godkids and they only put like 5 cards out!

Now, normally I'm not so big an Halloween (it's an evil holiday ) buy body part chocolates about fit my mood right now.

So far, the plan is to go to the Foggy Dew with a bunch of friends (it's a bar/pub) & than after that, go back to a friend's house & watch some "scary" films, like Young Frankenstein & Bad Seed. As for my costume, I'm gonna dress up as Madonna during her blonde ambition tour days, with the high ponytail & the cone bra .

These chocolate body parts are icky, like stubbed toes and bloodshot eyeballs. I was trying to not be too graphic ....

This is my halloween costume this year. I just bought it online. I'm adding some lace and such at the bottom to make it not look as whorish.

I love that movie! I'm going to date myself but I remember going when it first came out in the theaters. The kid behind me loudly states "If this whole movie is in black and white, I'm leaving!" What a hoot.

I recieved my costume today. It's PERFECT. I absolutely adore it. It's pretty high quality too....although for what I paid for it, I would hope it would be.

okay depending on people's schedule, I'm either going to dress up and go out with my friends to this haunted house, corn field maze and then pizza and scary movies or I'm going with a certain someone else and I'll still dress up to go out but end it with a few drinks and movies.

I've got most of my clothing done that I need to put together and I got all my makeup ideas down. I'm really excited over this. It's going to be better than the year I dressed up as a human turned into a decayed marinette doll. I love it when peopel take pics. I will take pics for you guys even though mine wont be a nice verison of a costume.

I think our family is doing a Peter Pan theme. I already have a PP costume for my nearly-three year old, my daughter is going to be Tinkerbell, and I'm going to try to make a little pirate costume for my 19 month old. A few years ago (before she had siblings) my daughter was Tinkerbell and I dressed up as Wendy, so I already have the blue nightgown, and hubby was a lost boy, which would be easy to do again. (Just tear up a shirt and old pants. ) I wanted to pick a different theme this year, but my son is sooo into Peter Pan.

I'm going as Sarah Palin for Halloween.I'm going to get some fake glasses and my mom is going to let me borrow one of her old suits.Then I'm gonna do my hair up like hers.I can't wait.
