OK, so I first purchased this DVD at Best Buy, which included an "exclusive" scratch & sniff feature during the episode "Get A Real Job," which I was unhappy w/ given the rather obstrusive flashing numbers on the screen all throughout the episode. So I was able to return the DVD to Best Buy & purchased it again at Target. The packaging said nothing of any scratch & sniff bonuses, but when I watched the DVD, it was EXACTLY THE SAME as the version I'd first bought at Best Buy!!

So my question is: are there any copies that DO NOT feature the flashing numbers during the "Real Job" episode? At first I found it annoying, but now it's just senseless if the package doesn't come w/ the actual scratch & sniff page! I'd like to know if this is on all pressings of the DVD; and if not, where were the regular editions purchased?

It's my understanding that was the purpose and the hook of the episode. It was advertised as a Scratch 'N' Sniff episode, so I don't see any reason why they'd change it for the DVD. Not all home viewers had the card as well; you had to have the edition of TVGuide that came out that week to get the card.

I highly doubt they made editions without the flashing numbers.

Well, thanks for clarifying. I can see how the episode is geared for that little gimmick, but it seems strange that it would be a Best Buy "exclusive" if that's how they were trying to market it. Anyone purchasing the DVD from any place else is likely to just get confused...

P.S. I don't know if they would be able to do this, w/ Best Buy having the "exclusive" rights & all, but NBC.com should offer a way to purchase the scratch & sniff cards for home viewers that buy the DVD from other retailers...
