I am thinking that Delinda will stay pregnant, since they said in a press release that Danny will have "life altering news" OMG !

I am loving it! Danny as a daddy!

Here is an article about Las Vegas's fifth season from www.zap2it.com

Another Season for 'Vegas,' Baby
NBC renews Friday staple for 2007-08

The cards have come up in favor of "Las Vegas" extending its life on NBC.

The network has picked up the show for the 2007-08 season. That will be its fifth season and should get the series to the holy-grail mark of 100 episodes, the benchmark for viability in syndication.

"The cast and producers have consistently given us what we want from 'Las Vegas' -- pure entertainment -- and we're looking forward to another fun ride next season with the show," NBC Entertainment chief Kevin Reilly says.

"Las Vegas" becomes the fifth show NBC has ordered for next season, along with "Heroes," "Law & Order: SVU," "My Name Is Earl" and "The Office." The series will end its slightly abbreviated fourth season (17 episodes) on Friday, March 9.

The show has been a steady performer for the network on Friday nights, averaging 9 million viewers and a respectable 2.8 rating among adults 18-49 this season. Its 18-49 number ranks first in its time period.

"Vegas" will end its season on a somewhat suspenseful note, with casino host Sam (Vanessa Marcil) being kidnapped by one of her high-roller clients. Mike (James Lesure) goes after her, while Delinda (Molly Sims) learns some "life-altering news" that will also affect Danny (Josh Duhamel).

I am so glad this may happen, sounds like Danny will grow up, be boss and be a dad and husband!

Wait, Delinda's pregnant?
JulieAnneW
Personally I think that "baby makes three" sl does not fit into a show like LV.
sayomgwtf
Hahaha, I don't see Delinda as a mom at all! We will see how they work this out if that's true. And yeah... the whole parenting stuff it is not so exciting and quite fitting in a show like Las Vegas tongue.gif

Do You Think Danny And Delinda Will Have Their Baby?

i've been thinking about this baby...do you all think she will miscarry? seems possible since lots of shows like to do that. i figure at some point they are going to have to break up danny and delinda. no couple stays happy for forever.
JulieAnneW
Molly said on the Today show she was currently filming being 6 months pregnant, so yes they will go all the way with this. This is the main reason the show stinks this season. I want to get away from kids and diapers for an hour, not see it on a show like Las Vegas. This show really is going to stink this year having to put up with Delinda whine all season about the baby and how Danny isn't kissing her butt enough.
lasvegasfan
thanks, that's interesting. i'll have to see how it develops. danny is going to be a funny dad. if she really does carry it to term.
troublemaker
yup that be interesting if they got baby together..... biggrin.gif

LAS VEGAS is no place for a baby - the show is doooooooooooooooomed hahaha - but then this could be a good thing... ya we will have to suffer with the whinning but maybe once she has the baby Delinda will stay at home more and we wont have to see her on set as much.

Stay positive maybe this is a way to get Delinda off the show too (OMG wouldn't that be rewarding lol)
downpuppy
They never really figured out what to do with Delinda. They'll most likely have the baby & then send them off to find Gramps.

I don't like this whole baby angle. I can give or take Danny and Delinda but I hope she miscarries the baby by the season finale.

I agree but they are not going to have her lose the baby. She is too far along now. Ugh, this show used to be so good. Especially when it was about security and surveillance. Hey, what happened to that part of the show? wink.gif
SamanthaJaneMarquez
You don't know that they aren't going to lose the baby. They haven't even written the last 7-8 episodes of the show. She could easily lose it or get in some accident. They could do a big drama thing or whatever at the end. It's not totally hopeless yet.

I hope you're right but I just don't see GST trying to tackle such a sensitive issue as losing a baby that far into a pregnancy (Molly said on Today she is currently fimling as 6 months pregnant). He glossed over every deep topic such as Mary's abuse, Danny's PTSD. It just sounds like they are carrying this through til the end which I think makes the future of LV look to 'familyish' for me. What are they going to do if this isn't the last season and one of them wants to leave the show, especially Josh? Just have him leave his baby behind? I just think this will end with a big wedding for those two and some dumb 'have the baby in an elevator scene'.
However, you are right. I don't know, maybe GST will actually surprise us for once. It would certainly give Josh a chance to show off what a great actor he can be when given serious material. (Another plus would be if Delinda had less screen time because she went away somewhere to recover).

Love Danny/delinda Baby Story!

I am loving the baby storyline! It's not overdone, it's sweet, funny and not corny. Loved Danny looking at the sonogram at the end! It's very real, not like they are all sappy! Great job!
vegala
I think it's a great storyline and I love how Danny has matured and the changes in Delinda. I love the change and they are doing an amazing job with it!

Famlyish? Hardly. Danny and Delinda are totally hip and cool and young. It's realistic for them to grow up. And the show is wild and fun, nothing family like. Ed was married - so what? Oh yeah, Mary abuse story was a real las vegas fun plot - NOT. It was not fitting into this show, and your morbid idea of a lost baby late in a pregnancy is morbid too. They can do great stuff with a baby around. Many hip and cool shows had babies in them, like Friends and Sex and the City.

Mary and Danny were your fave couple, I see that in your posts, but you don't have to wish a dead baby late in development of a pregnancy or Delinda to go away.

Dary has been over since SEASON TWO - and Danny loves Delinda now. I like the new character development and don't feel like living in the past. I look forward to some drama but a baby in Feb sweeps or a wedding and baby!

I think the baby story of Danny & Delinda is a nice sidebar.
I like it.
It was cool the way Danny's face changed when he was looking at the picture of the sonogram.
Delinda is a ditz, but I think that motherhood will change that.
She will probably turn into a very conscientious and protective mother.
And Danny has all the makings of being a great father.
He is already thinking about how he's going to handle his upcoming responsibilities.

If a couple having a baby isn't 'familyish' then what is? I do not hope for a dead baby, give me a break. Please read the posts before you jump all over me. Besides, Friends and SATC were completely different types of shows than one based in a casino in Las Vegas.

You can do a good plot when the characters are young and hip. IMO they pregnancy is anything but conry and familyish. And it will be cool. Unlike Mary who would be corny and traditional and all boring and family like Danny and Delinda are hip. Sex and the City is exactly the same k ind of show. And even more so of a wild kind of show based on the dating and sex lives, and it worked. I love seeing the evolution while keeping them hip and young. So glad Mary isn't around pouting and whining about it!

Pregnant Story Line ?

I looked forward to seeing my favorite Tom Selleck on "Las Vegas". He
is
always a welcome addition to any program he`s on.
Unfortunately, the girl that plays the pregnant woman is so disgusting
and vulgar i doubt I`ll be watching this character insult any and all
women again.
Talking and acting so revolting isn`t humerous. Why make her eat like a
slob and throw her legs in the air while sitting atop a desk claiming
"How *****"she is
Do the writers` really think women act this way while pregnant?
What`s so great about throwing up, stuffing one`s face AND sitting with
legs spread like a rutting pig?
If the talentless writers are so clueless as to what is funny or
interesting they should be fired. What a shame and waste of talent,
time
and MONEY!
mrsdaley
I agree. I had morning sickness with all my pregnancies, but I didn't make a big deal of it. I may have eaten a lot but not like slob. And I've never heard of a man turning down sex because of pregnancy. Delinda looked steamy hot in the new dress and he turned her down b/c of the ultrasound...so unreal.
jamiee
I love how Delinda is, she is very real, and it's funny. I can not believe how prudish people are. LOL It's funny and a lot of fun! And yeah some men worry about what Danny did!
jamiee
I am loving it too! So cute and funny and touching too! Love Delinda saying she is "horn... hormonal" lol. Very cute and sweet with the sonogram!
JulieAnneW
Delinda is far from what a real pregnant woman is like but I wouldn't expect her to be since this is Las Vegas. BUT the storyline is stupid and drags the show down. It would have been better to have given this storyline to Mike and a girlfriend, not the hot male lead of the show.

I love it! And it's way less of a drag than Mary was to him. Mary was ok, and she was a good friend, but she was the drag to Danny when she had be obsessed with him all the time. She did not fit into the Vegas atmosphere. I could not stand her boobs showing every show.

Danny finally has moved on and it's good to see him growing up and it's done so cute and funny. Mary was the thing that dragged down the hot lead, not Delinda.

Delinda is hillarious. I am loving the story, it's done fun and really sweet too and fits in fine!

Agreed!
Delinda is a little ditzy, but that's part of her charm.

What's really hilarious....is the original post of this thread. rolling.gif

I'm a grandmother now, but I can remember back to my first pregnancy, waaay back in the 70's.
Sonograms were a new thing back then, and you didn't get a little picture of them to take home, so my big, tough, 200+ lb husband went with me so he could watch the sonogram too.
He choked up and got all weepy, right there in the doctor's office....looking at his baby-to-be.
And after that, he was soooo scared to have sex. The baby had become real to him, after seeing that d@mn sonogram!
I had to get our doctor to call him and assure him that it was okay!
We didn't have decent sex again until our daughter was born.
So....yeah, that bit about Danny worrying about hurting the baby was classic.
It was heartening to see that some things just don't change. laugh.gif

And the part about Delinda being....um....amorous?
That rings true too.
When you're pregnant, it's like...."Wow, I don't have to worry about getting pregnant now, I am pregnant. Oh honeeeey, where are you?"
And I know I'm not alone in this.
I've talked to enough other mothers over the years, and it was the same for them.
csbabe
I have fiends that are moms now saying that their boyfriends were afraid of having sex. Some guys really think they might do something to the baby. That part was real! lol
And the same friends say they were h-orny like h-ell and the boyfriends don’t want to give them a fix. lol

And what is so wrong about Delinda trying to seduce her super hot boyfriend? When she spread her legs in front of Danny her belly wasn’t showing yet. She gave Danny a lap dance too which was cute and her belly was showing. So because you are pregnant you should be dull? I was never pregnant, but I think when you’re pregnant you have needs too and you would like to keep your sex life interesting as much as possible.

The stuffing face part was stupid though. No one would eat like that where people can watch. But I guess the writers were trying to be funny, but failed in my opinion. lol

To me pleasure this sroria, I do not find nothing of scandalous or obscene or other. Remembered that this is one show.
Compliments to the scripteriters and all the staff.
