Loved it.
I want more, please.

I think that his partner is starting to like him, she can't help it.
The woman who showed up and is the one marrying his father is on 'Mad Men', I think.
She's up to something.
Prolly wants some of Charlie's money.

Charlie is 2 for 2, on solving his cases.
Maybe now his partner will start to listen to him more. [I can't remember her name!]

Loved the last scene, where Charlie is listening to the recording about 'vengeance', while doing some target practice.
It reminded me of that old saying: 'Revenge is a dish best served cold.'

Charlie's old partner is hiding something.
He acts guilty.....of something.

I really liked this episode. It was interesting to see how Charlie was working on solving who framed him. His take on Anna's murder was neat to see.

I loved all of the different clothes that Damian wore, he was looking great smile.gif

Was he using his old gun in that last scene? If so, an even bigger symbol of the ex-partner.

Loved the obeservation that the girl was in the house because her bed was messed up during the framing crime. And that the detective removed "Rachel" from the report.

A lot of stuff in the show tonight.........real good.

Again I loved it, but the main and most important question is will NBC keep it around and move it to a better time slot?

After Mandy Patkinson leaving Criminal Minds, Wed's are Life all the time.

Terrific episode! Damian Lewis manages to maneuver his way around the complex character of Charlie Crews with just the right amount of seriousness and comedic moments. Only problem is that now I have to wait an entire week for the next episode.... darn!!!

Who was that handsome actor in the bar room scene? He is dreamy and certainly caught my attention. Can you PLEASE bring him back?

He's terrific and I'm a fan.

This was a great episode. I liked the begining when they were talking about the car and again he kept saying that he was not attached to the car. I also liked the part where crews kept asking his partner if she ever dreampt about her wedding.Even though she kept saying no i think she did. The pool fight scene was well done and the person who played the husband was really good.I also liked the scene when he was placing all the pictures on the floor.I absolutely loved the blender scene and what he said about them being the wedding gift that people mostly get is so true. The person who played the prosecuting lawyer is a very good actor. He played those interviews scenes extreamly well and i can't wait for next weeks episode when he and crews meet.

Great show again this week.
Good writing, good acting, I think it's the whole package here.

The ex-partner's wife's attitude was a twist I wasn't expecting.

I also thought the accused husband did a great acting job.

I do wish he'd get some furniture.

Who played Detective Ames? I can't find him listed in the credits anywhere and he looks so familiar it is bothering me.

Meredith Salenger played Bobby Starks wife, Leslie. She was best known for her 80s films (Journey of Natty Gann, Dream a little Dream, Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon). Hopefully we will see more of her on LIFE. Great actress!

what was up with his old partner. He was really given off some weird vibes in the garage when he was getting the gun and badge. we're they trying to trick us or is there something else there?

Could be many things. One possibility is the partner was involved in the initial setup of Crews---which is very likely---but he didn't quite carry out his role because he was torn. He then felt very guilty about his involvement and was not able to tell anyone because it would incriminate him. So he had to hold it all in. Yet he liked Crews so much that he went to great lengths to "save" his badge and gun----and hide it, as evidenced by how deep in the garage it was and him locking the door behind him. His wife doesn't know the whole story, but hated seeing how torn up her husband was all those years. Mix that with his lack of promotions and hitting rock bottom when no one would ride with him for four years. She has always blamed Crews because it started right after that.

He is so quirky that you have to like him! rolling.gif But does he have to be such a slutmeister! dry.gif Ugh! That's the only thing that I don't like about the character. The first show had me hooked. I'm trying to get my husband into it now.

Hi there. I saw your post and got a good laugh, but just had to respond to the "slutmeister" remark!

Personally, I'd probably be a slutmeister too if I'd been stuck in jail for twelve years and my wife divorced me while I was in there. But then, that would assume that I would be able to attract members of the opposite gender! From what little I've read on here, apparently Damien has some fans, and it figures that if the average woman found him attractive, then they'd probably be attracted to more than just his looks too (if this were Crews the character we're talking about).

And I'm not too crazy about that aspect of him, either, but there is something about the way he acts around them that's...kind of odd. I think that's why the producers are showing this part of him - because there's a perfectly good reason to and it will matter later. Just think of those scenes between he and his lawyer (the talk in the kitchen in the pilot) and when Danni freaked out and had to get beneath the shower (same episode). Didn't you notice anything...odd?

It may be nothing, and I'd have to go back and watch that again, but there seemed to be something else behind those scenes than just his trying to get closer to these two women for physical favours. Could be me, but I sense there's something else at work there.

Just a thought. Take care!

Respectfully,

I'm trying to understand rhe reconciliation between Charlie's seeming promiscuity and zen. Zen does not frown on promiscuity, but it doesn't approve of hedonism, and it's anti-ego, so one generally can't sleep with many women to satisy one's desire to feel, well, like a stud. So why?

When Charlie hangs out with these 2 young women in episode 2, could it be that he is looking for Rachel (now 21)? - just acting the part of seemingly pursuing them sexually, while really looking for something else?
Also: How come the new bride of his father shows up at the very same time? Maybe these women are connected/trying to contact HIM.. to give him clues, or to check " how much he knows" ?

There could be anything in that garage - geesh that is sooo stereotypical suburbia... I wonder whether Charlie's stuff was in with the artificial XMas tree or old stuffed animals... But Stark is tightly wound... There's a lot of currents moving, but he tries to keep the surface still... He's not going to go all in on a tearful apology, but he's no Det. Ames either...

His response to the question about how he feels about Crews being his superior - after 12 years in prison - seems to drill home that Stark hasn't made much upward movement, and that he's aware of it... His house was okay - I thought the pool was kinda big, but then, I've never had a pool, so it would probably seem extravagant to me even if it was par/sub par for the course...

He's not a straight shooter - he acts pretty nonchalant about the exchange between his wife and Charlie, and his vague explanation for why he has Charlie's badge and service revolver, well... Locking the garage door, well, if it was pot smoking teens he was trying to keep out of the garage, well, I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you. But to think about who else was at the party, well, funny thing, I don't seem to remember seeing anyone else from the department that we'd recognize there... No close friends on the force except Charlie? Was he locking Theresa out? And am I too CSI or if a light doesn't work, well, either something is stuffed up there, or it's wired to something else, or I am too CSI...
