I heard that this year is ER's last year! Does anyone know if this is true?

ER has been renewed all the way to 2008, so season 14 could be the last year.

I figured this would be the last season.. but I don't want it to end.. I have watched that show since I was 3 believe it or not. I have never missed an episode! I will cry! but lets not think about that right now!

One way to find out, I will call the "ER" office next week I hope (I don?t know if it?s the correct number) but I will give it a try...

Yeah, ER is renewed for another season after 13, but I'm not sure if they'll have more after that.

They can't get rid of it now, it's just starting to get really good again!

I also heard that Goran Visnjic and Maura Tierney's contracts end at the end of this season.I dodn't know if this is true though.

I'm pretty sure that ER has been renewed throw 2012 or 2014.

I'm disappointed in their friendship right now. Especially with what they are both going through! You would think the writers would have had them together more! Not just a scene or two or a conversation with someone else asking about the other!!

I agree with you ,they're like they have never been close friends,it's very sad to see especially since they both have reasons to really reach out to each other.

Exactly like when Neela dropped out! Abby was the one there for her!! That's when they started getting really close to each other!

I understand what all of you are saying but it's unfortuante that both Neela and Abby are going through some very serious events in their lives at this time.

They can't be there for each other and both are so caught up in their personal troubles there is no way they can lean on each other, they need outside help from friends and family.

I agree with you. They have different concerns right now and that doesn't mean they stopped being good friends. It's just that the circumstances are difficult in their own level. Still, they're good friends...

I'm hoping too that there will be more scenes for Abby and Neela, showing more on the value of friendship...

i was disappointed in what happened with abby and neela as well. i know they were both going through some serious stuff but that's when you should lean on your friends the most. abby isnt the greatest at letting people help her or letting people get close... i love watching those kind of personal relationships though. whether it's too women, a man and a women or 2 men. so i hope they show that more with abby and neela and that abby will reach out for that support from her friend. i love maura tierney and i think she is the best actress working today... she can do it all! and i love how she has become the major plotline on the show... in my opinion anyway!!

I didn't like Gates last season, when he didn't respect she was already committed to someone, and then wouldn't let her treat him in the field until she said she'd have gone out with him if she didn't have a boyfriend. And I don't like him this season. He's an arrogant, cocky...well, I could type it, but the board wouldn't let you see it. He knew at the party that Neela had just buried her husband not too long ago and he was already hitting on her. And he digs at Ray for not sleeping with her while they lived together, when she was either committed to Gallant or married to him for most of that time? Then he's living with another woman and her daughter, and having sex with that other woman? All the while flirting Neela up? He's a dog, and Neela deserves better.

Like the person who tried to be there for her when she found out about Gallant, as a friend and nothing more because he respected her commitment to Gallant, both as his girlfriend and as his wife. The person who isn't trying to hit on her or flirt with her, while she's still trying to grieve. The person who doesn't want anything more right now than to be the friend that he was before her husband died. The person who still wants to be there for her despite how hard she's tried to push him away. The person who wants Neela because he loves her - for who she is - not because of her looks or what he thinks the sex will be like. The person who defended her honor to Morris and Frank in "Strange Bedfellows". The person who reassured her about her speech in "Lost in America". The person who recorded Poker for her in "Out On A Limb" because he knew she'd need cheering up after her Army spouses' meeting. The person who can and does put Neela's needs above his own. The person that Neela really has feelings for and who knows her better than just about anyone else.

And that's Ray.

I couldn't have said it better myself, Ash. The one who has repeatedly shown that he genuinely shown that he cares for her is Ray. Neela needs to get over this attraction to Gates and realize who loves her for her and not her body.

I couldn't agree more .Gates is an arrogant son of a sea-horse can't stand him,I wish Neela would see thru him and I hate how NBC is giving him all the air time.

They are giving him all the air time cause they wnt more people to tune in to the show and they will if they like John Stamos.

As always I have to agree with Ash here. Neela needs somebody who is as much a friend as a lover. I mean if you think about the best relationships love stems from friendship which is something that Neela definitely has with Ray. He sincerely cares about her and knows what makes her tick - hence why she is probably keeping him at arms length at the moment. Gates is about sex, nothing more. As a rebound I guess Gates is the better of the two, but if we're talking about a relationship that will last - well that has to be with her best friend! Ray!!

OMG!! You said everything Ash!! Now what am I going to explain?? Oh well, I completely agree with all of you guys. It's not that I HATE Gates. It's just that it's not fair that he's hitting on Neela when he's sleeping with somebody else. On the other side, there's RAy who's been a sweetheart in her life. I totally go for NeeRay...

I agree with everyone else ... Neela and Ray are definitely soulmates in my opinion.

In the reality it is not Neela that is falling in love with Gates but the producing of ER that are loving John Stamos, and I don?t know why. They want to transform Gates/Stamos in a new Doug Ross/George Clooney, and that is ridiculous because Stamos doesn't have 1% of Clooney.
And the two episodes that Gates appeared were ridiculous, and I think to be a disrespect with the other actors the producers give so much importance for a single guy.
And they forget about the affection of Dr. Ray with Neela is to abuse of our patience. A beautiful couple, where the opposites were attracted, the seriousness of Neela with the happiness of Ray. One complete the other. The public waited for that union in this season.
Why don't they increase the characters of Pratt, Ray and Morris? They are more time in the series, and in a brilliant way.
If the other guy had a canceled series is just problem of him, no ours.
Sorry my hard words, but I am beginning getting tired of Gates and more Gates.

All I've been doing today is looking at Roomies' scenes from Season 11, 12, and 13...and they are so hot. They HAVE to hook up this season! I love the way Ray is around her...it's so cute!

P.S. I desperately need to see Ray/Neela scenes and since I just started watching I am missing all of seasons 11 and 12. If anyone can point me to where to find stuff online (other than Shane West Paradise which is where I got nearly all the clips downloaded, some didn't download and now they're off the site) or can actually loan me some tapes/burned CD's (ANYTHING!) I'd be so grateful. I just need the Neeray stuff.

I think Neela has chemistry with Ray. But I only enjoy Ray as Neela's friend. I never was down for a romance between the two. Neela also has chemistry with Gates, Pratt, etc. Parminder is that brilliant of an actress.

I don't mind Neela having a fling with Gates, etc. As I just want Neela to be free to date whom she pleases and not be tied down like she was with Gallant.

I couldn't agree more with all of you: The Roomies do have something special and unique, Neela and RAY belong together!
Ray has always been *the one*; the one to comfort her, the one to make her laugh, to evoke (all kinds of) feelings. It seems as if he makes her feel alive...
And Neela worked a change in him; she somehow made him become a better person. (Not that he's ever been 'bad'...)
They balance each other out!
