What do you think of the official website? The little survey is meant to get an idea of what people are looking at/for, and the topic is meant to solicit comments, questions and suggestions in case, well, somebody cares what we think.

MasterCard Comes to 'Life' in TV DealNBC is teaming up with MasterCard and running a series of "pod busters" (who came up with that name?) that are supposed to offer viewers additional clues on Crews' case in the form of short commercial spots. These will run during the Wednesday night airings.
I saw one of the
pb's this week. I've almost already forgotten what I "learned." I did write it down somewhere - something about the knife used in the Seybolt murders and blood or something? Definitely not a case cracker, that clue. But maybe it will come in handy in the future...
But what actually did hold my attention and memory was that the
pb encouraged viewers to visit the NBC Life site. I started to cringe a little.
The NBC website's most important contribution is as a repository for the previously aired episodes - yay for that, to be sure, for the tivoless among us. Second to that are the text recaps (I've found they kind of footstomp the points the writers wanted to make with the episode), the character bios (why Constance doesn't have one, not sure), and possibly the documentary provided it continues to grow. But everything after that is letting me down.
I'm on record as finding the Conspiracy Wall a huge disappointment - that wall is so dang big on tv with so many pictures, and it looks like we get a measly rotating 3 a week, and can't even go back to the older ones. What the? The Life Concentration game was fun the first 2 times I played it. It was decidedly more fun the second time because "I Won" or whatever it says when you finish it. But when I wasn't rewarded with more clues, I lost a little cool. There is no featured music link on page (partnering with iTunes might be more beneficial for NBC and Mastercard). Rand Ravich's blog is getting stale - I understand that he has to write and all, but the Live Blog has _died_.
I might be too picky/spoiled by the effort NBC put into shows like The Office...

I am really loving the web site but I wish it had the music for each episode listed like so many other networks do, then it would be perfect.

Oh - one other thing - the previews portion of the website would be more previewy if it featured previews of upcoming episodes, rather than just the presumably old previews of the already aired previews.

I've been getting an error trying to run the episodes myself for Life and ~shudder to admit~ other shows... I suspected it was the browser I use and so I submitted to using Explorer, and although that fixed the other shows, it doesn't seem to have fixed whatever was up with Life, last I checked...
Oh, yet another complaint - the Next On: box in the top right corner seems to be saying this week's show is a repeat of Let Her Go... But NBC's own schedule very clearly says it's _all new_ What They Saw...

Just started visiting the board (thanks to a recent podbuster thingie). Most of my observations are already covered but I'd like to put in a couple of pleas. One thing that could be better executed is the Conspiracy wall. It's one of the most intriguing parts of the show but the wall itself doesn't add up to much. At the end of a show, we should have at least a new piece of the puzzle and it should be cumulative from the previous weeks. In addition, all of the pieces on the wall should be downloadable so that we obsessives can manipulate them to our crazed heart's content. :0 It would be great to make the videos portable so we could check them out on a frame-by-frame basis.
One thing that would be immensely helpful is a to set up a wiki where fans could work on the conspiracy interactively. I know there's a part of the forum on this topic, but its not the same.
Another thing that worries me is the lack of Life advertising and the fact that it doesn't seem to be scheduled during November sweeps. What up with that?
Thanks though for the freebies and for trying to build a bridge between the network and the fan base. Despite the snark, I love this show and hope it gets a full season and more.

Re: the NBC site. Is it me, or is it bloated? Seems I have to do a lot of clicking and hunting for what I'm looking for. Also, please list the songs of your series' episodes. It would help fans instead of having to read through hundreds of replies looking for one title to a song! Thanks.

It would be really great to have the Mastercard Evidence of Life moments available for download on the conspiracy wall.
Another vote for the site to create a spot that highlights the music--Life has such great use of music and it would be great to have a definitive list of what's what and who's who.
And finally, about the video of episodes: While having 5 episodes available for free is great and very much appreciated, with a complex drama like Life, it is critical to a new viewer to be able to piece together the mystery and the layers by seeing them as they unfolded on screen. The pilot is particularly important for catch-up and the second episode was a breakthrough for the Charlie /Dani relationship. I imagine that most of the episodes are going to be like that. Please consider archiving the early episodes here or on iTunes (or anywhere online) so that new viewers can catch-up on the show.
Thanks so much for bringing us this wonderful show!

My only gripe with the "Life" site is the same gripe I have with all of nbc.com...no matter which computer I use, no matter how fast my connection is, the NBC pages load very slowly. I would spend more time here if the site wasn't so cumbersome. I used to spend time over at "The Office" boards, but they have split them up into so many different subforums and the forums load so slowly that I gave it up. I guess it's no big deal if you have plenty of time.

I've seen this written numerous times about "rotating walls", and would like to know how I can see some of them. I have had the same wall since I found the website about 4 weeks ago, with only minor changes like the addition of the two head shot pictures drawn by Rachel, and the picture of Reese. Other than those, my wall has had no changes. How do I get to see what everybody else is seeing? I come onto the sight every day (sometimes 3 or 4 times) looking for more clues. I need my "fix", please help me get it!

Overall, I really like the site! Great job!
My only qualms:
I'm frustrated that there are no real previews in the "Previews" section. Instead, we get the one for the episode that just aired. I really want to see the previews for next week's (12/3) two-parter, but it's still not up - and here we are on Friday (11/29).
Also, I think a blog for Life would be great. Like the show "Chuck" has a "What's Chuck Really Thinking" blog, or something like that. A "What's Charlie Really Thinking" blog would be cool. The only blog on there, right now, is the very first one, from 9/26.
Also, I don't like how, on the conspiracy wall, some clues just kick you over to the message board. I end up getting 4-5 seperate message board tabs that come up when I didn't want to go to the message board in the first place. Those clues shouldn't automatically kick you over. They should give you an option.
And for anyone who can't see back-episodes of Life, go to Amazon.com's category "Unbox Video Downloads". I purchased the Life season ($1.89/episode and worth every penny. No ads whatsoever! Plays great, on a much larger portion of my computer screen). Now, whenever a new episode of Life has aired, Amazon.com downloads that episode directly to my computer. It's pretty sweet! And I have them there to go back to and watch whenever I want!

It's been that way for many weeks. Yeah, there is a looooooooooong list of bugs to fix on this message board software unfortunately. And it looks like the (apparently), small (hardworking), handful of people trying to fix stuff have prioritized everything. There are some members who can't even sign onto the board at the moment. Unfortunately, the buttons at the top are probably pretty low on the list at the moment.

It would take less than a minute to correct a link and to leave an easy fix error in place when you are aware of the problem is negligent.

For the love of God give us some freakin' dates NBC! The fan deserve it! Granted the writer's strike is a problem for most of the shows. But for Life, especially, they even remain silent when they will be bringing the already seen episodes back. I also read there were new episodes they already filmed that we haven't even seen yet!
They were supposed to re-air the pilot on the 19th (and I got many new people coaxed into giving it a try) and now that's been taken off (thanks NBC)! If they could please just give us dates! And why did they yank the re-airing of the pilot to begin with??? Grrr very frustrating!

All the episodes that have been filmed have been aired. Two additional episodes were written but they can't be filmed without writers available for re-writes and changes. But I do wish NBC would re-run the original 11 episodes and promote the show

I agree. I mean everything on is mostly repeats as it is. I think any Life is better than nothing at all. Especially since it's one of the few shows that got signed on for a second season. It would be a great way to build the shows fan base (as mentioned I had several people who were going to give the show a try with the re-run of the pilot, now that won't happen). NBC shouldn't have a problem finding some kind of spot to put this in...even an odd hour. That's why people have DVR, TiVo and VCR's. I think NBC needs to be a little smarter with their decisions. Run all the episodes again so people will have the chance to know the show and become a fan!

Have you emailed the execs to tell them to do just that? We have to tell them! CBS returned a show that was on the chopping block because the fans sent them 30,000 lbs of peanuts to say they thought they were "NUTS" to cancel the show!
We have to send them emails over & over to let them know that ANY LIFE would be better than NO LIFE at all!!! Give us some dates, give us some re-runs, give us Charlie Crews NOW!

Life's take-it video widget and message board need to be revised to reflect new Friday time slot
The Webmasters at NBC were quick to update the home page of the NBC Life site with the new Friday time slot. However, they apparently forgot to make that revision here at the message board (see top of page) and also on the "take-it" video widget. That widget is designed for anyone to "take" and use/display at their own Websites. It's really cool! But if it shows the old time slot, it may confuse (and lose!) potential viewers! I've sent a message to NBC Tech Support to correct the problem. However, I had also done so some time back to correct the link at the top of the message board (because for a long time it went to the Chuck site instead of the Life site) and it took SEVERAL MONTHS for that to be corrected. We don't have as much time this time around. Perhaps if many, many of us email tech support to correct the message board and widget, they'll act on it more quickly. Here's the link to contact tech support:
