It was nice that Jack finally let Dan drive the car.

I would like to know what made the younger brother change his mind and say that time travel isn't possible, and he doesn't know Langley.

That was an interesting back story on why Dan and Katie got married.

Next week's episode looks good too.

The younger brother HAD to say Time Travel wasn't possible. He's SANE now. right? But the reference to Dan's shoes and the fact that he disavows any knowledge of Elliott Langley leads me to believe that maybe he's working with him somehow, and does still believe in time travel. Another person who knows more than they're letting on, and frustrating the viewers. Interesting to see if Steven Kowalchuk shows up again in a future episode.

That's pretty much what I was trying to imply with my initial write up. I do believe he knows more than he is letting on. And I agree with you that it was confirmed by his comment about Dan's shows.

Actually, I think that may be what set him off in the first place. He was really smart, studying all sorts of science, and then just went off the deep end. I think that the fact that he says "you can always tell by the shoes" means that he's already had some experience with time travelers, and that's why he's so vehemently against technology. Has he seen something happen? Later, his "sanity" - a cover? The additional comment about the shoes... a hint? And why didn't we get to see the shoes in question? They must've been some great shoes! tongue.gif

do you ever feel like maybe we're reading too much into things, trying so hard to figure out the clues that everything becomes a clue? the now sane brother played it very cool in the end if he really is suspect here. i think they left it wide open so that the guy could come back perhaps--maybe he has flashes of memory at some point and then he could be a great hindrance to dan sometime. like vasser needs any more problems though! but the guy could also just be another "bomb under the table," to use a perfect hitchcock motif for this episode!

Everything about tonight's Episode improved on it's flaws, including the impurities of time travel.

Great episode with great scenes all throughout the episode..

Next week looks great too...

Thank you NBC !!!

Well all the episodes have been great but this one is a stand out for sure..

Great Episode...the writers gave some much needed insight into Katie and Dan, as well as Dan and his brother. Some shows give little or no insight; risking the loss of viewers. Glad to see Dan and Jack bond a bit, as it was a bit frustrating to watch Jack try to figure out what's wrong. At some point, they must let Jack in on it....I also agree that Steven will be back as well as his brother....time travel will need some crediblity even if the show borders on sci-fi...at any rate, Good luck to the writers...I hope the Network Execs give you the time you need....kind of like Friday Night Lights; another under rated show! By the way...someone tell the writers of HEROES they have too many subplots going on at once! Whew, between commercials and going back and forth between characters, it's actually dragging....this isn't a feature film folks, it's T.V.

Heroes doees have too many subplots, but still a great show...back to Journeyman...these episodes are moving along at a good back...Livia said a clue on why she runs into Dan in the past...she said something about "something must have went wrong"...this might mean, the reason why she is there is to make sure Dan doesnt go off course...

any thoughts?

What was the dialogue between Lyvia and Dan right before the younger version of his brother and himself showed up? Something about why Lyvia showed up.

My ONLY complaint about this great show is that I have a hard time understanding some of the dialogue.

Well, now we know that Lyvia can TT past the time of the airplane accident.

I was really pleased with this episode. The Unibomber analogue was a little thick (ripped from the history books!) but I enjoyed it. More importantly, the continuing subplots are really well done: Jack's suspicions about Dan's gambling, the marital strife, and of course the surprisingly detailed threads about time travel. I have no doubt we will see the younger brother again, and that his relationship with Langley is a complex one.

What I find interesting is the younger brother asks Dan if he is from the past or the future. He may have TT himself and he may have been visited by people from the past. If the shoes are a givaway about timetraveling, you should be able to tell if they are old or futeristic.

A new episode, more details revealed.
I have a feeling that ALL of the things we have been noticing the past episodes will be coming to a head in the season finale (if this show doesn't get cancelled before that).

Hopefully we will get better ideas in the finale about:

1. Livia's own time travel adventures, what really is her role around Dan. Is she as "lost" as he is with regards to time travelling. Does she know more and just won't say anything.
2. The roles of Langley and this new scientist. They know more than they are telling Dan.
3. Is there still some feelings between Katie and Jack, and for that matter
4. Is there still some feelings between Dan and Livia?
5. Is it really the Tachyons? I'm still wondering where Dan initially got the idea that tachyons might explain his time travels. I reviewed the episiode where it was first mentioned and it seemed like it just came out of the blue when Dan asked an assistant to help him about the matter.
6. Is Dan's son even his own? Its a crazy idea but I'm just throwing around things here. What were Katie and Jack planning to do in the hotel anyway when Dan overheard their conversations?

I think Dan and Jack's dad is tripping around in time. Tonight during the flashback, Jack kept telling Dan their dad was never coming back. I think that's one of the reasons Jack is so cynical - the abandonment of their father. And what happened to their mother? Do we know yet?
Samuel_L_Chang
Wow. This show is turning out to be really good. Just when I think I can never forgive him he turns out to look kind of okay in his own way. He's like Michael Scott! And I liked that whole thing about the time travel secret "dying" with the younger brother when he convinced himself he must be delusional. For him it was a secret that was never meant to be revealed (at least for now?).

And it looks like next week will be pretty intense huh? It's so cool to have seen this from episode one. I usually find out later... I don't think there's one of my favorite shows that I've seen from the start - until now.

I very much agree with you (as I've written on my theories thread) - I see as I read further down the thread that others have had the same thoughts and theories I have had. I just LOVE this show.

At the last scene, adult clean-shaven Steven Kowalchuk looks like a younger version of Dr. Elliot Langley.

Just an observation.

I thought so too.
