I realize that they were trying for the "Manga" look, but wow! .....that was really stupid. WTH is "Chuppa Chuppa" anyway?

It definately was the weirdest one I have read so far. My question why was Hiro a...whatever? Also is this a clue to Hiro changing history. The Yagomoto fellowship documentary makes no reference to any side kick, but the comic says it uses the myth and Hiro definately was helping out (just not as human)

Normally I would say WTF to that...but...after the plot heavy and fast paced episode last night...it is nice to have some fluffy fun GN for a little breather. The animated version made it fun.

I was really dissappointed with it. There's a certain level of quality & relevance that was totally lost in it. Making Hiro into a mouse is definately a metaphor in some sense, but still, it was a bad move IMHO.
Hopefully next week they don't make the same mistake.

Let's not forget that it is HIRO who uses his BRAIN and gets the scroll...BRAIN over BRAWN people. Hiro IS the hero.

I think Hiro was supposed to be some kind of cat. Probably meant to mimic some of those mythical Japanese creatures like the tanuki.
It was weird, but ok I guess.

I'm sorry... but that was just really dumb and pointless. I mean, does that help the whole Heroes story/plot at ALL?

Come on people...it was fun. I thought it was awesome! The animated version in the heroes site was worth it.
Last night's episode was so fragmented and felt like they moved the story so little. It is nice to see the legend so up like this in the novels. The animated version pointed out some things I would have missed.

I thought it was funny, although I'd prefer a more plot-relevant one. XD
It made up for Hiro not being in the show, and last week's had Peter, so...

At a glance, this volume seems a bit silly and unimportant. I've been thinking about this GN all day and it seems to support the Dragon=Hiro theory.

Honestly I saw Hiro as one of those moogle/mog things from Final Fantasy. They would say 'kupo kupo' instead of 'chuffa chuffa'
Where is my no-prize? lol

I thought it was one of the best comics yet. I was laughing so hard. Particularly when Hiro got out the little umbrella.

Well, Manga style. It was funny. But honestly, I can't see the relation between that GN and the episode.
Maybe it was to compensate the fact that Hiro didn't show up in the last episode or so.
Gotta love the old and silly manga style though

To be honest, I didn't like it. As soon as I saw Hiro I remembered how everyone was complaining about the bad art in last week's GN. This makes me really wonder why I read&download the GN's.

Well, I just started reading the GNs but I don't get what's up with the cartoony thing on this one. The others seem better. This looked like Belle and Sebastian. I hate that.
Is this a one shot deal? Are they going back to the regular format next time?

if this was how the GNs started, I never would have bothered to read another one. It did nothing for the plot of Heroes and I for one am not a fan of magna artwork. I was highly disappointed in this weeks GN.

if you guys have seen the 5 clips off Heroes about the sword and legend, I always wondered how the would show those trials.
First they one with the Hundred men, they basically showed them, but cut out the battle....then he shows up with the fire scoll...ok
The next with the bear...was hoping to see that on film, but I see why they did this in the GN55.
I think there are two more trials. The snake women then the dragon taking his heart.
We'll see how this will be played on on the show or the GNs.

That's actually why I thought it was so great. It's completely different to any of the others and totally unexpected. I doubt they'll do another like this again

You know, I didn't laugh actually or find that funny. And I do have a sense of humor, dig the Hiro char and all. That just seemed kinda crazy and kinda lame. Sorry - I just don't want to see Hiro as some ridiculous cat/person/mouse/creature/thing. I'm guessing he wouldn't be offended by this but I think I would be if my character was portrayed so insignificant and inhuman in comparison to another character. And I get it that I'm taking this too seriously even, but eh....
