And a little over 500 years ago you would all be screaming that the earth was flat. Any logical, right thinking person, such as myself, would know that "the Mom is gone and the dad is dead" (kind of poetic isn't it?).

But, 500 years ago, it was logical to say that the earth was flat, and if you thought otherwise, you were crazy. So, maybe logic is over rated?

Wow! Quote/smackdown of the day from IWTO!
We are never going to get anywhere with this...

I surprised myself...

You are wrong. 500 years ago the more educated people knew the earth was round. The ancient Greeks not only knew the Earth was round, they also figured out how big it was. Any logical person could watch the masts of a ship slowly slip behind the horizon and then later watch as the top of the masts first appeared then slowly the rest of the ship appeared. The tale that Columus made the voyage to prove that the Earth was round is a myth. Any educated person and most uneducated knew better.

The point is, Chuck's Mother is dead, and the Father is alive. I personally think we should all lay off on this, we will never get anywhere...

Ha ha, just sayin
But, CNC is right, quibbling over this issue is pointless, but fun

Of course you can quit. Obviously I'm right. Maybe we will know for sure the next time they have a celebration on the date their mother left them. We can go with your point of view that they are celebrating on the anniversary of her death, or go with my point of view that the celebration is basically them telling their mother go ahead and leave, who needs you?

I don't think Chuck and Ellie are celebrating that there Mom is dead is that went there Mother die they had to take care of them self and they are celebrating how far they have came. So that is my point of view so that pretty much make me on Cnc team. Sorry Rick

But that is what I think.

It's laughable to think I'm quitting, Rick, look at my sig every post. As to the celebration thing, I'm with Dora on this, which helps prove it's not just me who thinks this; if it was, I may concede; there are other people, so I know I'm not crazy; I watched the scene, and this is what I got out of it. I'm sorry if that upsets you.

You know the whole "Mothers Day" thing was part of vs. Sizzling Shrimp not the Wookie. And the whole Mother being dead thing makes sense. And she probably died a while back, my guess is when Chuck was a teenager or probably earlier. But, Chuck's father was there when the mother died. When Chuck tells Sarah that his mother "Left them" and his father "was there but never really there" sounds like he was there when she died. Why has the "Mother" thing started again ?

I am sorry to do this but Rick's theory about their mom leaving and their dad dying makes a lot more sense in conjunction with the episodes that we have seen so far.

^^^ Not when Chuck said she was dead. I think Rick's explanation makes no sense at all, but that's me.
SLW1717, I think we agree, maybe for the first time.

When did he say she was dead? He said she left. Maybe when he said that she left what he really meant was that she had left. Which is why they break out the champaign on the anniversary of the day that she left.

One, we have a thread to talk about this now, we should move it there. Two, you said maybe. That means it could swing either way; I agree, but believe it will swing the way of the mother being dead. Three, some people do drink to remember their loved ones.

you know it would be awesome if Carina came back i love her. she is sooo evil and she get Sarah sooo made. it would be so funny if she tried to seduce Chuck again and have Sarah walk in on them she would never forgive Chuck for that and Chuck would apologize sooooo many times. that would give Casey to say one of he famous one liners.

love awkwardness between Chuck and Sarah.

so does anyone know what the reference to the clovers is? When Casey is handcuffed to the headboard is the scene? Further on in the series there is another reference to the clovers as well. The headboard doesn't look anything like clovers to me.
Just wondering

She was referring to his boxers. Being the very uniformed military type he is, he even has a rotation for his underwear. She was giving him a hard time because the last time she hooked up with him, he had the same clover boxers.

Anybody see Iqbal Theba (Peyman) on Glee. I have to admit it took me a second to remember him.
