With this latest episode it has been without doubt been proven to be true that the best way to have someone get better from anything, including death, is to give them a dose of a regenerator's blood.

Question is, why would the Company waste time and resources to have Sylar undergo multiple surgeries and still have the possibility of dying when they could have just given him some of Adam's blood and not have to be concerned about keeping him alive until that can happen?

One answer is that the Company didn't take him, someone who does not have any access to a regenerator's blood did.

The other is that the Company did give him a regenerator's blood and they operated on him for completely different reasons, like finishing up their tests from before, change or install something that is inhibiting his powers, or to use the recovery time to build a working relationship with Candace.

well how about this, they didnt want to give him the blood cause they wanted to use him as a lab rat to test the virus. so they gave him the virus and repaired his body the old fashioned way giving him regen blood might not have worked for there tests. it would have left him with is powers and he was 2 deadly for that.

I see this answer given elsewhere and it still does not make sense. For one thing, you are under the assumption that just a regenerators blood would be enough to cure the virus when in fact it is a cocktail of Mohinder's blood, specifically his antibodies, being boosted by a regenerator's blood. So that is not an issue. Second, we have not been shown that the blood lasts for any significant amount of time, so they can still inject him with the virus after they fix his wound even if the blood alone could cure him.

However, it appears that they are not going to explore this, so it would be plot consistent to have the reason be the same as to why the company did not cure Nathan with Adam's blood, whatever that reason may be.

At least until we find out more about either situation once Heroes is back.
