Hey Shelle fans!

Our friend and fellow Shelle fan Cam1 has been sending letters to TPTB and the soap mags since the Phelle/Shelle triangle first began, and one of her letters was published in the latest issue of SOW. WTG CAM!!!

I not only want to congratulate Cam, but I also want to encourage everyone who wants our Shelle back to write in and let your voices be heard. Sometimes it seems pointless, but our letters do make a difference. TPTB need to know the Shelle fanbase is still strong and enthusiastic. Some of us may be down on Shelle right now because of the current writing for Belle, but remember it only takes a stroke of a pen to make things right. I've chatted enough with other frustrated Shelle fans to know there are many of us who still want to see a good Belle redemption, which would lead to the ultimate Shelle redemption.

Even if you've given up on Shelle for the time being, don't stop writing letters and emails to TPTB and the soap mags. Continue to stand loud and proud for Shelle. Let TPTB know we want some decent writing for Shelle, and for Phelle to finally be laid to rest.

Thanks for spreading the word FW....I sent yet another email several weeks ago to TIIC and just copied it to the mags. I was reading the letters Sat. and thought one of them was worded very similarly to the way I see things.....and lo and behold it was mine. It was such a bizarre experience b/c I never expected to see it published. They changed a couple of things and dropped off a couple of sentences, but the gist remained the same!!!

I am as disgusted as everyone is with Belle right now, but I would be lying if I said I didn't want Shelle to be together in the end. I do see lots of positive opportunities for Shelle within this storyline but I'm definately prepared for the worst! As upset and frustrated and disgusted as I am I do think we should keep the Shelle thread alive. I know I notice how much chatter goes on in Phelle threads, and I don't want TIIC to get the message that we don't care anymore!!!

That is funny! I can see you all kicked back reading the article thinking *gee, this person thinks just like me. Wait a minute....it IS me* Sounds like they did a little editing, but I'm glad your message was preserved.

I really want Shelle to prevail, but I want them written so much better than they have been. Sometimes I feel like there's no hope left for Shelle, but deep down I can't completely give it up. I remember what they once were and I know what they could still be with some decent writing. It drives me nuts when I read posts saying BB and MM have no chemistry. IMO BB and MM have saved Shelle through some crappy arse writing. It's taken the total destruction of Belle to make several of us give up. BB and MM were never the problem. The problem with Shelle lies in the horrible writing. Give MM and BB some decent writing, and I know Shelle will regain fans and probably draw in some new ones.

ITA with you, we should keep the Shelle thread active. Some of us quit posting in the Shelle thread because we were spending so much time blasting Belle that we didn't want to disrespect the posters in the Shelle fan thread who maybe didn't want to read our Belle bashes. Some of us felt our posting there had become innappropriate given our attitudes about Belle. Sometimes I think I don't even support Shelle anymore, yet I know I'd be extremely happy if Hogan redeemed Belle's character and made Shelle strong again. It's not that I don't want Shelle to prevail. It's that I don't trust Hogan to write for Shelle anymore. I hope that made sense.

Anyway, I'm going to start posting in Savvy's thread and the Shelle thread again like I was before. I miss the Shelle chat since I've been away.

Congrats CAM for you letter making it into a mag. I wrote letters to Days and the mags several times and last year sometimes one of my letters finally made it into SOW. I was so excited and happy that one finally got in the mag. I agree with Michelle I am going to write about how much I hate this storyline with Shelle/Philip/now Chloe. I am going to write about my love for Shelle and continue to write. We should all spread the world to other Shelle sites. Let the Shelle fanbase voices be heard and let tptb know that Shelle fans will not give up. I'm ready to fight.

That is so exciting. Just goes to prove that when you love a couple that much, your voice will be heard! Congrats Cam!

Oooh thats great Cam!! I wrote some letters not too long ago to the soap mags and TIIC. I am still supporting Shelle. Is there a copy of the letter i can read?! I would love to see it!

WTG cam! Im glad our voices are being heard! Its very hard for me to even go in the Shelle thread lately but i'll work my way back if things get better for belle's writing! BTW which issue did it get published in? I have this weeks im going to check it right now.

I totally agree that we all need to keep up w/ the Shelle thread and to continue to let them know the we do NOT like what they are doing to Shelle.

Thanks everyone.....the point in FW sharing the news is that we all need to keep fighting for Shelle. We all KNOW they are a supercouple and as painful as it was to watch Marlena turn to Roman in the castle and Hope turning to Patrick and flaunting it in Bo's face......very few people lost sight of who they wanted to be with whom. We are frustrated and have lost our hope BUT like Bope and Jarlena, I want Shelle to prevail too!!!

No matter how bad things get (and I have no doubt they are going to get far worse before they get better!) I know in my heart of hearts I will always hope Shelle find there way back to eachother. They ARE meant to be. They REPRESENT true love conquering all. And I got a lot of good vibes from Friday's show......It seemed much more clear who the rooting couple was (I believe it the first full episode Ed Scott was responsible for BTW.) and I'm going to hold on to that as a sign of what is to come.

Should TIIC continue towards a Phelle pairing with the intention of writing them as the "meant to be" couple......Then as soon as Shawn walks away, so will I! Until then I'm not giving up.

That's the spirit BB!!! We have all been down and out for long enough......It's time to start fighting for Shelle again. I've invested so much time and love into them that to just walk away is impossible for me.

I will hang on till Belle is no longer in love with Shawn. As long as the love is there, Shelle has a fighting chance. I can handle Shelle's separation but I will also walk away if Belle doesn't truly love Shawn. It will a sad day for me since I have watched DOOL for over 11 years. Shelle is it for me.

I will be writing to DOOL for the first time ever.

Here's a copy of the original email I sent. There were a couple of sentences dropped, but the message is the same!!!


"I'm just so disappointed in what has become of my favorite couple on DOOL. They've had years of bad writing and they've never gotten the chance to be established as a true super couple. Instead over the years I've watched them lose their virginities to others, marry others and continually repeat the same mistakes over and over again. Even at her father's death, Shawn wasn't written to be by his great love's side. Now Belle has cheated on Shawn in the bed she shares with him and she's cheated with a man that she's never, EVER had feelings for until a huge rewrite of storyline history.

I know that part of soap storylines includes tearing couples a part, but there is something HUGE missing for Shelle. Sami and Lucas are being torn apart but it is clear who she loves. Shawn and Belle have never been so lucky.

Please find a way to fix this. Find a way to redeem Belle to the character she once was. Find a way to finally establish a truly united Shelle in all of this. I'm just so hoping that this storyline somehow, someway is going to strengthen Shelle and give Belle the opportunity to grow up.

Savvy.....It is in the Nov. 27 issue. It is the first letter from "CM via email". And they even bolded a phrase on the page to highlight the point!!!

There is no doubt in my mind based on MM's comments in SOD, BB's comments on his board and even JKJ's comments that TIIC are hearing us loud and clear. There is very little positive support surrounding Phelle. The Shelle fans are pizzed. And they know it!!!

What were MM's and JKJ's comments?

I'm embarrassed enough to admit this isn't the first time I've emailed, sent snail mail and/or called the complaint line. That letter was the last one I wrote and I'd decided it would be my last ever b/c there just wasn't much hope. Now, I realize that I'm not ready to just walk. I've loved them forever and I don't think there is any doubt that Belle loves Shawn. Infact, that is the one thing TIIC have gotten right. Belle clearly loves Shawn.......but she also loves Philip.

When Shawn walks away and ends things for good, I will "walk away" from Shelle. Until then, I would be lying if I said that I didn't want them together somewhere down the line. Right now, I'm not willing to accept the crap we've gotten from Belle since she left Phildo. Her treatment of Shawn and disrespect have gone on far too long. The good news is that this story is going to make or break her b/c she's either going to figure out who and what are important and work her azz off to redeem herself or she's going to be proven to truly be the vile, hateful, selfish *hore we are now seeing. Either way, Shelle fans win b/c we either get the Belle we've always wanted to see or we get to see Shawn find the love he deserves in someone else. I am so hoping that Shelle are given the love story they deserve b/c as far as I'm concerned, their "reunion" since finding out about Claire and ending their marriages has been a grave disappointment.

MM was interviewed in either SOD or SOW about the Shelle wedding and Phil's constant interference. At first glance the comments were upsetting b/c she talked about how Belle was falling in love with Phil "again." But at the end of the article she talks about how couples can't be happy on a soap and that she's loving the work. That struck me as soooooo odd but I now believe it is the only way she can justify the storyline. She has to be hearing how unhappy viewers are and how viewers have turned on Belle and so instead of talking about this storyline in terms of a "love story" she's happy for the work. Hmmmmmmm.

JKJ has talked several times about how Phil has convinced Belle of her feelings and how he is becoming more and more underhanded and "Victor-like".

And BB's comment about how he's glad they are bringing Chloe into this triangle made me laugh out loud b/c he said something like, "This triangle needs more spice." Guess he also knows just how unhappy fans are with this storyline and that it is missing it's mark. People are either pizzed or they just don't give a dam anymore! That isn't a good combination for a soap struggling for ratings!!!

I have been watching DAYS for 12 years. But, I became passionate when Belle and Shawn were introduced. They were about 2or 3 years younger than me. So, I just fell in love with Shelle.

After all these years, I will only give up when TPTB decides that Belle only loves Phillip and NOT Shawn. It will be over for me.

I am going to start on my postcards tomorrow and mail them off.

Thanks for being our voice. We all need to join you to make it stronger and louder.

The whole concept of chemistry is so subjective. And what makes me laugh is how when JC and MM were in the roles everyone complained about how they had no chemistry (which I absolutely disagreed with.....They were HOTTTTTTT!) Now I've read countless posts about how they had chemistry but BB and MM don't. Make up your minds people!!!

IMO, good actors make good chemistry. MM has chemistry with everyone she works with. So does BB and so does JKJ. It seems to me that anyone complaining about chemistry is just looking for another reason to hate a couple or a pairing.

Shelle fans IMO are the most loyal and patient and passionate of any fanbase. We've stuck it out for how many years through terrible writing, recasts and rewritten history!? We've supported Shelle when there was little reason to given the writing. I think we've all been pushed too far this time, but now more than ever is the time Shelle needs its fanbase to be strong and "loud and proud" as my friend FW would say. I have heard that Shelle receive the most mail at DOOL and that is thanks to all of us and our undying support!

I am in awe of your dedication to send so many post cards..... Thank you for doing something that will surely make an impact!!!

Hey J....I think TIIC would enjoy a fun lymric or a catchy little diddy to show support for Shelle. Nobody could do something like that justice like you can!!!

Can we please end this triangle with Shawn/Belle/Philip. It didn't work the first time around and its not going to work the second time around especailly with rewritten history. We all know that when Belle was married to Philip, Shawn always had her heart. Now we are suppose to believe that Belle is in love with Philip again when she wasn't the first time around. Its not working for this fan. All this storyline is doing is making Belle look horriable. Now that Chloe is coming back she is going to be in the mix too. We had a quad with Philip/Belle/Shawn/Jan and Philip/Belle/Shawn/Mimi and I hate it the first two times around. Do TPTB think we will watch this quad this time around because Chloe is in the mix? I won't. Shelle have been through enough storylines with Philip, third, and fourth parties. For once this Shelle fan and I know other Shelle fans want more is for Shawn and Belle to have a storyline with just Shawn and Belle. After everything TPTB have put Shelle fans through the past eight years we deserve it. Redeem Belle's character by kicking Philip to the curb once and for all. Have Belle grow up, fight for Shawn, prove her love for him, show him he can trust her again, and have Belle romance the man. Martha Madison and Brandon Beemer have chemistry and will be HOT in those scenes together.

Great chemistry on screen requires good writing and good acting. All three actors are very talented. Therefore, they all have great chemistry with each other when great writing is there for them.

I definitely feel the love between Shawn and Belle. As much as it doesn't make any sense due to rewriting of history, I also feel Belle struggles with her feelings for Phillip.

I think that it is PERFECT. The fight for Shelle continues on...

Same with this fan. Shelle were a couple years older then me when I started watching Days. Shelle was the IT couple that got me interested to Days. Like Bope, Jarlena, and Payla were for fans who have been watching for almost 20 years. If this storyline is meant to end Shelle (which I doubt) then its bye, bye Days and hello GH only.

I have periodically been sending emails to Hogan and the crew voicing my discontent of the stupidest triangle in the world.

I agree FW.....Clearly this writing team is made up of some seriously "slow learners"!!! This pairing went over like a lead balloon during its first run even considering that Shimi had so much support it should have equated in Phelle support inorder to keep Shelle apart!!! And since it went over so well the first time, it makes soooooo much more sense to replay it with rewritten history, tons of contradictions and inconsistency! That'll definately win fans over....

Me too. I feel the SAME way. Their romance lasts for less time than the average commercial yet when she did the deed with Phillip it lasted half the show! Not to mention plenty of flashbacks if we missed it! What happened to the building up...working towards the lovemaking scenes--you know, romance? They had plenty in the "barn scene" yet now that they are actually a couple we get "oh, you're so wonderful. I'm so happy I'm with you, blah, blah, blah." Really? Cuz, I don't see that. No one can say it's because the censors have toned it down, either because her romp with Phillip was more than PG-13!

Give Shelle a hot, romantic weekend!!!
