Is it just me or does anyone else beleive it was Claude who shot Nathan? I mean he never appeared in season 2 and aspecially he does not want to let everyone know there secert since he's invisible and all. So what do you guys think?
John26
After 3 mintues the show was over, I thought the same thing, I mean the cops didn't do anything to that guy who was leaving..so he had to be invisible.
Okami_Wolf
The cops were too busy with crowd control to notice one guy leaving. I'm not sure, but I think the guy leaving had dark, slicked back hair. I guess we'll have to wait for some screencaps to look over. I think whoever shot Nathan was working for the company (based on Angela's phone call) and I don't think that Claude would ever go back to them.
NightVision
Right on.
missmysoldier1224
Yeah did they ever mention what even happened to Claude because if they did I don't remember. That is an excellent theory though. They couldn't have seen him because if they did the police would have detained him since someone had to have seen that he was the shooter.

After watching the last scene over and over again, I think the person who shot Nathan is actually Adam Monroe. The way he walks, the clothes he has, the physique (Obviously skinnier than HRG, unless HRG got on a diet), and the gun he still possesses all points to Adam Monroe. Mama P worked with Adam because they wanted to "save the world" (The world for the people who have special abilities?) We do not know what Mama P's ability is but maybe she can predict the future?

It can't be HRG because he must kill secretly. If he kills people in the public and gets caught, his family will still be in danger. How do we know Adam is not working with Mama P still? Kaito was killed, Pratt was killed, Bob was going to be killed but got saved, and what about Mama P? Are we even sure that it was Matt's Dad who tried to kill Mama P in the interrogating room? Mama P knew Parkman and her sons won't just let her go to the prison so she created this drama while she has already predicted everything. Ever wonder why Mama P is still alive in the future? She is in every future and unharmed which gives us hint that her ability is to predict the future. (That's how she predicted the explosion in New York and tried to work with Linderman). However, the present can be changed so something (such as Nathan prevented the explosion) like that is not in the hands of Mama P.

All in all, Adam Monroe might still be working with Mama P and Mama P's ability is to predict what is going to happen before any action is taken. In other words, Mama P can only predict consequences and can only start predicting when she knows an action is being initiated. Maybe season 3 will explain how Adam got out of that coffin and killed Nathan. Note: If Nathan let the public know about these abilities, Adam's plan to become THE hero and God will vanish.

It is probably a new charecter who shot Nathan. It is in an interesting introduction.
EternityForever
Remember how Adam also wanted to destroy the company as well (By killing all 12 except Maury at this point)? From Heroes perspective, Adam kills Nathan because he knows if Nathan is dead/severly injured (maybe cure him again to gain trust), Peter will pay full attention and will try to bring down the company. Adam knows both Hiro and Peter can travel back in time so he could still get the virus from the past. Peter is still not 100% sure why Adam needs the virus (Only Hiro knew) so if Adam makes Peter thinks it is the company's revenge for destroying the virus then Adam may still have a chance to obtain that virus.

If Nathan dies or fell into a coma, season 3 may start with Matt telling Peter not to trust Mama P (She told him to kill Peter just in case + Peter knows Matt can read minds). In that case, only Hiro can persuade Peter that Adam is the bad guy. However, from Peter's personality, he might trust Adam again since many are telling him not to trust Mama P. Then, Mama P + Adam Monroe + Maury + (Arthur, etc) may get on with their plans by manipulating the next generations once again.

Lastly, if we can think outside the box, maybe the abilities are genetic only. In other words, people who can fly must be in the same family and people who can read minds have parents that can read minds. And, the ability seems to be inherited from the fathers. West + Nathan. Claire+Adam. Maury+Matt. Hiro+Kaito. Arthur+Peter. West, Claire, Peter, Hiro's fathers are either not being introduced yet or their abilities are not shown. Maybe Heroes will begin to tell a story that no matter how you change the present times, the future will still be whatever it should be. Kaito learned that lesson maybe by trying to save his wife but failed. He got discouraged and stopped using his power and also told Hiro he can't change everything. Maybe future Hiro learned that and brought Adam Monroe back.

Matt looked up and saw the guy walking away, so if the guy walking away was the shooter it wasn't Cluade or Matt wouldn't have seen him. If it had been Peter that looked up and saw the guy, then maybe.

Yeah, this is what I think. Is there a better way to introduce a villain than to have him kill a main character? Plus, he looks like a younger fellow, like someone said Adam. I think Adam is still in the hole. No one could have found him in time for him to shoot Nathan. Also, if it was Claude, he wouldn't have walked out, he would have been invisible. Why risk someone seeing him? And the company wants him dead!

I don't even know what this is about. Do you even watch the show?

That is my theory or speculation. Anything can happen in this drama. Yes, I watch the show and if you can think of any reason why Kaito refuse to intervene and live again then you can make such an ignorant statement. Kaito obviously had the same ability as Hiro, and Kaito knew it but is not sure until he saw what Hiro did. In addition, unless the script team for Heroes blows, many characters have the same abilities don't they? They must have genetic connections. I think you need to take some biology + sociology courses before you are given the permission to judge others with your egocentric perspective. kthx bye.

The power's are not liked to their fathers as you have a few things wrong.

Nathan is not West's father, and Adam is not Claire's father. Nathan is Claire's father and she has a different ability. We have not been introduced to West's father, although from an interview with Tim Kring; Bob was supposed to have been West's father but they changed their minds.

You've said Peter+Arthur, but what about Nathan; he is Peter's brother and have the same father but have different abilities.

Micah and DL have different abilities to each other and regarding Hiro and Kaito; Kaito said something like "I've never teleported before"; meaning that he doesn't have the same power as Hiro unless he just didn't know that he could do that.

Now, there could be some sort of link between parents and their kids abilities but unless they mention it in the next series we'll probably never know.

Something that has been suggested in another thread; people that have only one parent with an ability has the same ability or maybe an evolved version. People with two parents that have abilities possibly get a random ability.

I read that they did not have a new character to shoot Nathan so they asked the actor who played Adam Monroe to do it thats why they kept him all secret so we won't think it was him. I will try to find the article where I read it.

There has been a lot of speculation on this. If it is someone we already know, the most likely possibilities are: Peter or HRG. I'm thinking HRG because you can see the classic Horn Rimmed Glasses when he turns his head as he walks away. (replay it)
It could be peter. But he probably wouldn't need a gun. And he could be invisible.
Possibly Sylar, but he was in NY at the time. So I doubt it.

So it is confusing, especially since the guy is thin like Sylar, walks like Peter, but has glasses like HRG.

So it's probably someone new.

As someone said, Kaito had never teleported before. So he and Hiro don't have the same powers.
Nathan and West are not related... In fact, Nathan is Claire's father, so therefore Adam can't be her father. (plus, that would make West and Claire bro and sis, and they were into each other and kissing...)
DL and Micah had different powers...
We dont know what Arthur's power was, so we can't say for sure that he and Peter are the same.
So far... Matt and Maury are the only ones who have the parent/child match.

So your theory is bunked.

Well, Claude wasn't the only one not talked about in Season 2. Hana (the technopath, friends with Ted) is still alive. She never showed up. Sometimes the characters don't fit in with the story at hand. And remember, season 2 was supposed to have 30 episodes. It was cut down due to writer's strike, and maybe these two characters would have shown up later.

Anyway, the actor who did Adam Monroe might have done it, but if Hiro was the only one that knew where he was (and probably would never let him out) he couldn't have been there. Claude is a good possibility, the camera showed him walking away, but if they made him turn invisible right there, it would DEFINITELY give it away to either Claude or Peter. And they wouldn't do that. Matt couldn't see him because of all the people, cameras, etc, in the way, and he isn't the tallest person either.

Sylar wouldn't have been in Texas. Case closed.
I have a hard time believing it was HRG. I can't see any glasses in the replay.
Now that I look at it though, he looks like he is wearing a really nice suit. Don't think Claude could afford it. Looks more like the clothes Future Peter wore in "5 Years Later". Nathan also looks like he gets shot very close to his heart. I don't Peter would take the chances of killing him (although he could cure him later.) It's either Peter or Bennet.
White_Fox
Recorded the episode, paused it the moment Nathan's killer turned slightly and saw horn rimmed glasses. The man walked like Bennet. Another reason for it being Bennet would be how he killed Petrelli the seconed he tried to confess his power, just like he was assigned to stop Clare...
