Ok guys, I'm not having surgery, but this man I go to church with that is just like my grandpa is having surgery tomoorrow. We are not exactly sure what they are goign to do, for the doctors don't know yet. They are going to do a heart catherzation and then if it is as bad as they think, they will be doing open heart surgery with at least a 2-way bypass. Hal, is a wonderful man, he adopted me as his granddaughter and I just really don't know what to say. I've really been tore up over this, especailly since I had to notarize his living will Sunday. That was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. SInce then, I've been a basket of emotions. I guess the main reason, I'm worring is the doctors said if they do heart surgery, they aren't sure he will make it through, but he wil die with out it. Everyone, please just remmebr us and Hal in your prayers. The surgery will be 2 hours away from here, so also pray for us traveling safety. I just ask that everyone pray for God's will to be done and to give the family comfort and peace. Thanks again guys, you are great. I'll update ya'll on Thursday, sicne we will all be in Tennesse tomorrow.

May God's healing hand reach down and touch this man. May He guide you in your travels to be there with his family during this critical surgery. May God grant you and the family strength to hold to your faith as you struggle through this difficult time of worry. May you find strength in your faith that God always know that is best for his children. If God so choses to take him home now, may you find comfort in the knowledge that he is (or will be) in a much better place than you or I. God has bigger plan in store for our lives.
Amen
Take care, Shannon, and we'll be thinking of you while you are gone.

Shannon, you don't have to thank me for that. I'm here for all my friends, whether I know them well or not. We are here to lean on each other when we need to. God has already blessed me in more ways than I can count. My cyber friends are included in those blessings.

Lifting him up in prayer again as the surgery is today. Perhaps the surgeons are working their "magic" as I type this. May God continue to watch over this man you have come to love as a grandpa. May the surgery be a success and he is quickly on the road to a speedy recovery. May his strength be returned to him so he can enjoy Christmas with his family and loved ones.
Shannon, I'll be anxiously awaiting your return for an update and good news.

UPDATE: They didi the heart cath yesterday and eerything went good. They placed a stent in his heart. His blood pressure is running a little high, so we aren't sure if he will come home today or not. However, in the next week or two, they said they would have to do open heart surgery. His main valve in his heart has collasped and they will have to put a new valve in. Between now and then, he is at an extremmely high risk for a stroke.
Thanks everyone for your prayers and just continue to remember him. I'll let ya'll know as soon as I know when they will be doing the open heart surgery.
Thanks again and God will truly bless each of you!!!!
