I was wondering can Maya powers kill Claire and Peter?
Orb_
well???
Sarkfan28
I vote no. I don't know if they would even be affected; maybe for a moment, but I doubt they would even fall over. Or, maybe they do pass out, but as soon as Maya cuts it out, they'd start recovering.
shogung
yes, but they will just regenerate back.....

How would they regenerate to something like that. I don't think they can heal after being expose to her powers for a long period of time. What exactly does her powers do to a persons body?

Well, we'll have to wait and see. We've only seen non-SGs affected by Maya's power so far, so no can answer this.

Not true, we've seen it affect Sylar multiple times and it affected Molly in the apartment.

As for the topic, it's hard, actually impossible, to say without knowing what it really does to the person. If it somehow falls out of the realm of injury or disease then she can affect them, but I don't see how that's possible. So I would guess that no, she can't do anything to them and if she can it's not permanent.
Sonic_The_Hedgehog
Peter no. Claire yes, but once Maya is out of her plague phase Claire would regenerate.

Ooops. You're right. But we haven't seen a regenerative SG affected yet. wink.gif

Also, would the Hatian be affected or would his power block it?

Sylar did not have his powers back at that time. They were still blocked by the virus. So the jury is still out on whether Maya's power affects SG's.

I'd say no to both.

Since Peter and Claire can regenerate to physical harm. Maya's powers don't affect you phsyicaly, there more like a poison, so it's not like they would be physically hurt, it would be there insides that got the damages.

Flyingman is right, though... Molly was affected. And Alejandro was still affected (his eyes turned black as well as Maya's own), until he could calm Maya down, so in a way they were both SGs affected to some degree, no?

I guess if the Haitian was blocking it before it went off he would, otherwise he'd be affected by it. We've seen that just being near the Haitian doesn't block powers. Nathan flew away from him and Peter used TK on the taser darts after Claude went down.

Really I don't see any reason, aside from regeneration, why just having powers would block someone from Maya's power as some hint at. It doesn't really make sense.

This question requires extensive testing. Let's lock Peter, Claire, and Maya together in a Peter-proof room, put up surveillance cameras, and get far enough away to avoid getting weeping black death.

Inside the room, we'll have a TV playing some of the saddest scenes we can think of so that Maya will weep. I suggest the death of Bambi's mother, OLD YELLER, and some scenes from GHOST to start with.

We'll have our answer soon enough.

Both Petrelli's, both related to Angela who the Haitian was working for...

Why can she kill Claire, but not Peter? Explain please.

Back to the original question, there has to be a purpose for Maya. That purpose could be that she could eventually kill Sylar, or at least Sylar will probably be afraid of her. I could see him trying to take her power while she is trying to use it at the same time. The other possible purpose is that she could kill the regens. We don't really know what she does to kill the people except that blood comes out of their eyes. That seems to me like a capillary bursts or something. She may actually cause their brains to explode which would definitely kill a regen like Claire or Adam. I would be willing to bet that Adam escapes and continues trying to "save the world" in season 3, and Maya kills him right before her gruesome death (which we will all cheer for).

I'm aware of that. My point was simply that being near the Haitian doesn't mean an SG's powers are surpressed.

No- Alejandro took the power from Maya because she couldn't control it at the time. He was the ying to her yang.
The Haitian would more than likely be able to block Maya if he figured it out in time.
Claire and Peter (even Adam) would be able to recover as they all have already defeated death.
All other SGs [Parkman/Elle/Nathan/Bob etc.] would not survive as they are only human- not gods.
