Full Version: The Vault Scene II

Right before Peter Petrelli opens the vault door in Primatech the camera somewhat focuses on a part of the vault door itself, in particular the locking hinge mechanism. I paused my Tivo and noticed that when the camera shows that particular scene there is a swastika on the little locking mechanism thing.

I'm very confused as to what the meaning of this would be on a vault door, perhaps some mystical quality from WWII era, or perhaps some historic story line from Heroes? Who knows what are your opinions on this?

Perhaps that vault is full of artifacts from various timelines and empowered people played somehow into the history of WWII. I dunno but I'm curious to hear some other peoples thoughts on this.

i saw that too, there is a thread about it in the spoilers section with a picture. I think it has no importance what so ever.

I think we might see some sort of WWII tie in with the story line next season, given the overall plot of destroying humanity it would fit right in. I dunno I just noticed this and it got me to thinking along with all the other neat stuff in the vault and the next installment being titled Villians.

The swastika means that that was Hitler's brain. Probably not, but that's what I'm going with until Vol. 3

"They saved Hitler's brain." Nice one Rocketeer. It very well be, maybe Hitler had a similar power to that of Eden?

Heh. I just re-watched it. The Swastika is backwards so it's not what it appears to be.

The vault contained ALOT of old relics from through out time.

The serpent dagger, the raging lion, the magic cards, the brain. all have a significance through time.

remember they had the site about the other SG's throught history.

Joan or Arc, Thor, King Leinidus spartan (spelt wrong), Hercules... the list goes on..... each one was suggested that they could ahve been SG's....

I will have to re watch again, I missed a few other jars.

IF it's "Backwards" ten it is NOT the NAZI symbol (for conquest, destruction, world-domination... ).
Then it is:
The S v a s t i k a :: the ANCIENT Hindu and [thus] Buddhist symbol for: LIFE, WHOLENESS and RENEWAL...

This RIDICULOUS website made get kicked off ... so I LOST a Wealth of Information I wanted to share with you, about the origins of the HIJACKING and MISappropriation of the svastika and the correlating factors [Nazi distortions on genealogy and anthropoly, deliberate MISinterpretations on the -- at the time -- INCHOATE data on the true Aryans (of the Indus Valley) and go alittle even into the Thule Gesselschaft] ... but good ol STUPID MyNBC has determined I shouldnt right now...

I'll expound further... I think.

Maybe

You are quite right, I remember from the recesses of my Brain that the Symbol reverses is actually the symbol you mention above (Buddist Symbol).

The Nazi's Used many symbols in there crusade (i think i will stear clear of this one for now).

Another one that pop's into my mind is the Eagle that was carried about their hand held plinths/Flags.

this symbol is a slight variation of the American eagle used by the president on the floor in the Whitehouse, and presidential logo.. I think the Nazi one looked right and the American one looks left but i cannot be sure so please dont flame me.

but i think i should stop there or i might get... adjusted as well.

eh, the svastika is sketchy at best...

Slightly off-topic: If I were Peter, I would've tried to take the door apart rather than out. Focus on the nuts and bolts holding the door in place. It would not have required nearly as much effort.... Of course, phasing would have been even easier...

Hey guys I am new here and don't want to start flaming, but I think the Germans were not that interested in the American Eagle and the Nazi party may have got it from the Romans. I can't think of the actual emblems/banners that they use to do a search for it. Like the SPQR ones that they had at the front of the legion. It is the same as the Svatsika was lifted from the chinese to create the swastika.
Here we go, this may help explain what I am getting at: German Eagle
QUOTE
Since then the double-headed eagle came to be used as the symbol of the Roman-German emperor, and hence as the coat of arms of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation.

But just a slight bit off topic, why didn't Peter just walk through the vault door instead on sensationalising the breaking of the door?
