Hi,
New to this message board.. LOVE Law and Order: CI -- Bobby is AWESOME!! I've been missing this show.. and did a google to find out info. on when we will see some new episodes of my fav. detective.. And found you all here!

I haven't seen an answer to this question and this seemed a good place to ask.. I saw they had switched back to NBC -- but they were all repeats to me; b/c i watched them all new when they started up this year on USA back in the fall.. Here's my questions, hope someone can help me out; i'm going thru CI withdrawls! lol
1. Are they going to show new episodes on USA or NBC this year since the writer's strike is over? Or are we stuck waiting until next year for new epi's -- i sure hope not they only showed like 6 epi's or some such small amount.
2. Is CI switching back to NBC permanently or are they only going to show the epi after USA does the previous week?
Thanks i am SO confused; but been waiting expectantly for new epi's to tape on my tivo...

Mel
Hi Mel,
Welcome to the board!
We've had ten new episodes that have shown on the USA Network since the show returned in October. USA Network has stated that it will continue production of the current season and air them through the summer months. Whether or not it will keep it's current space, Thursday at 10 pm is unknown, since "Burn Notice" held that spot, and earned wonderful ratings there, last summer. "Burn Notice" is also scheduled to return this summer. There is already at least one episode that is completed, finished during the strike, but it's doubtful that it will be aired by its lonesome self until a couple other epis are done to keep it company.
Read this article our mod PeachyBC posted last week. It says they can be ready to shoot in six weeks and have new epis done in twelve.
Will the show return to NBC? No reason to, NBC sold it to USA, one of its sister networks in the NBC-Universal family and its ratings there have been quite good. USA Network president Bonnie Hammer has treated the program well, has given it the advertising it hasn't seen at NBC since the second season at least, and would be foolish to send it packing. NBC's original plan was to show the epis on Saturday nights at 10 a week or so after their cable premiere on USA. That never happened. Whether or not they decide to actually follow through with that plan when the new episodes are ready for the air is anyone's guess. That will depend on what their schedule looks like and how they program the rest of their week. Also will the network complete the current season of the rest of their programs? If they're scrambling to get something, anything on the air, CI may return, the same way it did this January, to fill a hole in their programming.
Again, welcome to the board.
