Oh no you are not the only one my friend!! I love reruns!! It used to be I never missed an episode repeat or new. But now I'm in college and have too much homework to do - and sometimes I'm actually still in class. I love seeing Ben Stone and Adam Schiff (he was my favorite DA). And it's so much fun to see Courtney B. Vance as a defence attorney (though now that he isn't on Criminal Intent anymore that'll probably lessen). *sigh* Reruns are bliss.

what a quick responce,,(WOW)hehehehe
I do enjoy the way TNT has the show set up....meaning,,even thro its on 2 or 3x a day each show seems to be from a different season.
A viewer can really get to understand the format of the show that way.
(ie) always the phone call from the M.E.'s office with info on the body as the dectives are questioning someone. hahaha....you know when they are still trying to figureout who the supects are?? I like that part

I have no idea when it's coming out. But I may sorta have good news. On Dec. 12 L&O CI Season 2 is coming out. Then on January 30th L&O SVU Season 3 is coming out. My logic (though from a blonde head) tells me that an early season of L&O original recipe should be coming out soon after the SVU season. Let's hope!!

I think it would depend on the shooting schedule for the show ... I mean how many episodes do they have in the can already? Anyway, I think it would be lame to sack an actress in the middle of her very first season. If they are going to get rid of Milena she should at least get to finish out the season. And anyway, we don't know what kind of contract she signed for the show - I can't imagine it would be easy to fire her in the middle of year one, they'd have to buy out her contract. IF they decide they don't like her and want to replace her, I bet they will ride out the rest of her contract (if it is short) and just minimize her role. Whatever, I just don't see her leaving during this season.
Also, if they get rid of her at the end of this season they have to watch the way they do her exit. While I thought last season's finale was the best of last season, I don't need to see another young woman murdered two years in a row for crying out loud. She would have to leave because she didn't want to be in homicide or she moved to a different jurisdiction or something. She'd be good in vice like Detective Eames from CI used to do. No one would ever make her as a cop - too busy looking at the ladies.

No. Four episodes of excruciating pain and bile inducing nausea from watching Govich on screen were all I could take. I tried alcohol (alot of alcohol) but even that does not ease the pain of watching her stumble thru her scenes and b*stardize a once quality show. You have to understand, for those of us not hypontized and anesthitized by her breasts, the pain can be unrelenting.
I keep checking the boards and websites hoping they will have gotten rid of her but no luck so far so I guess I will have to wait for next year to watch the show again. Heavy sigh.
Hopefully there will be an 18th season but that is far from a slam dunk.

Why lame?? People get fired all the time. That's show biz. Literally. Acting is not a career you go into if you want job security.
Why spend more time and energy trying to get a square peg to fit into a round whole, while the ratings continue to be at the bottom of the NBC ratings pile?? If they keep her there is always the chance there won't be a next season. I don't think her paycheck is going to break Dick Wolf's piggy bank, and getting someone decent in there and improving the ratings by the February and/or May sweeps could more than make up for that.
They cancel shows that haven't even been put on the air. Joe Pantalione had done four episodes of his new show for this year and it was cancelled before it even went on the air. The new show Smith on CBS lasted 3 episodes. 20 Good Years on NBC only a couple more than that. And they had John Lithgow, who is really good. L&O is not immune form this cancellation thing. You know network TV. It's what have you done for me lately.

No I mean it would be lame if they did what they did last year and that's murdering her. We just saw Borgia murdered, I think it would be lazy of the writers to kill her off. When she leaves it should be for a different reason.

It's called spin. What are they going to say when interviewed "we screwed the pooch and never should have hired her"? They can't really just come out and say they made a big mistake.... and they never will.
They are going to stick up for her right until she gets fired and then it will be something like "she left to pursue other interests" and "we are sorry to see her go and hope the best for her future".

Hi Mar688, and welcome to the board! That is a GREAT idea - I wish there was a cable channel dedicated just to L&O in all it's incarnations - SVU, CI, TBJ etc. Maybe some day. In the meantime, TNT, USA and Bravo seem to have dibbs on most of the reruns.

I love L&O since it first aired in the UK and number of years ago and I've never missed an episode (we're on series 8 of the original).
In fact I love L&O so much that I would love to have all the DVDs. However, on searching Amazon I can only find L&O Original DVDs for Series 1-5 & 14. Are more L&O: Original DVDs going to be released later this year?
It would be even better if they released a boxset of all 17-odd series, I'd be the first in the queue.

Ever since the season 16 finale of Law and Order, Heist was one of the worst short lived dramas to be shown on NBC and the ratings were stolen from Law and Order and added to "Heist" But I'm glad that show won't be returning due to low ratings. I'm telling you last season of law and Order wasn't what I expected. Even though it lost 1.8 million viewers, I'm sure they will improve for this season and for the future seasons. Law and Order has been renewed through early 2007 and will continue as the anchor for Friday night's lineup. Criminal Intent and Special Victims Unit will continue to air on Tuesdays with new episodes beginning in February. I was a bit nervous when I heard that the show was nearly cancelled after Dennis Farina and Annie Parisse left, but I'm glad it wasn't cancelled when Milena Govich and Alana De la Garza joined the cast. So, mark my words, there won't be anymore short lived dramas after 2007. Law and Order and ER will continue to show new episodes without having to wait four weeks for repeats.

Heist was not designed as a four week drama. It was suppose to be a regular series, a mid season replacement I think they call them, but it bombed.
I don't think that has anything to do with waiting 4 weeks for new episodes. That has more to do with how long it takes to make 1 episode and the sweeps months the networks use to gauge advertising ratings.

http://tv.ign.com/articles/756/756228p1.htmlThis a link with an article about the renewal of SVU. I'm sure there are others on the net.
These are the first shows to be renewed, those with the stongest ratings or really strong demo audiences. The rest have to wait to see how they progess or digress ratings wise before a decision will be made one way or another.
This DOES NOT mean L&O is cancelled. It's still wait and see.
