I held out hope, as I did for Caitlin and the entire Ireland story, that West would prove useful and worth having on the show. Unfortunately, he was never believable as a romantic link with Claire and his interaction in the story was usually painful to watch. His best moments on screen were when our beloved Man in the Horn Rims was beating the crap out of him. (I liked Elle blasting him too.)
