I've never smoked a cigarette in my life and
up until six months ago, I'd never had a drop of alcohol either. See? I was an angel, until I discovered Strawberry Daquiris!
After reading AAH's post, I need to add that I've never done drugs either.
This might be a little darker, but it's no big deal because I'm not exactly ashamed.
- I was physically abused a lot earlier in my life by my father (who is now a great man, loves his family, very religious, and I love him very much and talk to him all the time)
- Between when I was 14 and 15 I went through major depression to the point that I would cut myself on a daily basis. Which none of my friends knew until near when I went out of depression.
- I use to sell and do many kinds of drugs (between 16-17, actually used starting at 15). I actually got myself out of all of that, completely cold turkey for using.
- I've been stabbed before, in the stomach, and I have also been slashed before across my stomach (have scars for both). Both from deals that went down bad.

I should also let people know that as a 7 year old I was bitten by an Alsatian, had to go to hospital and get butterfly stitches. So I am now very wary of dogs. Especially big or yappy dogs or ones that jump up at you.

My mother used to HIT me a lot everytime my dad stole our rent money and if she was ****** at him for something bad!
Now she still calls me names like ho, *****, *****, etc...and also tells me she wants to kill me whenever I talk back at her when she is WRONG!

Not all parents are perfect all the time. Probably did it because she couldn't do it to your father. Doesn't make it right in any way, but it is probably why. My guess at least.

Yeah, I learned the hard way! It was no fun sitting in the police car and begging them to understand and let me go. They even yelled at me and thought that it was completely my fault for selling on the streets. I was 13! Even though I do not live with my mom she still tries to kill me.

I'm so sorry fem. I'm lucky in that even though me and my mother have our arguments, we get on great. I can joke with her so much that I get away with calling her names, swearing at her when I'm joking. The One time I swore at my father[I was angry with him at the time]he dragged my up stairs, made me go without my dinner and for a second I thought he was going to hit me.
My mum's side of the family is great, but I get so mad at my father's side. They always make excuses for my father.

Yeah it is tough. Even though my dad is totally in the wrong, I kinda miss not seeing him. But I know my mum really doesn't like him and I don't want to upset her by seeing him.

It's not exactly people in real life, that's the problem. It is that people don't understand/comprehend/know what to say about what they don't know about or haven't experienced. But there really isn't anything you can do. I'd say go words for words that way she understands how you feel, but you really don't want to set that example for the kids.
BTW, my family is absolutely great. We're about as close as a family can be (well, now), including uncles, aunts, and grandparents (which ones I have left at least).
BTW (part duex), just because people have different family problems, it doesn't mean they are any worse than yours. Different things happen that have just as serious an impact.

Well, in conclusion(feels like I wrote a mini essay.lol)...I try to treat people(o/l or real life) really nice because I know how it feels to be treated like garbage. So people...be nice to U_J!!!
My family think I'm too nice for my own good. I'm polite to people even when I don't like them, and when people walk into me I say sorry to them.

I enjoy a good cigar every now and then. I used to smoke cigarettes, stopped that cold turkey too. Funny thing is I always found girls who smoked completely unattractive, even when I smoked cigarettes (funny how when I was old enough to buy them, I didn't smoke them anymore).

I think tattoos are neat, but I'm terrified of needles, so I'll never get one. I love scars too, but I don't want any.

That's easy to explain. Girls who smoke cigarettes don't look very cool (no offense to blackdog), while guys do.
