TITLE: "MR. OUTSIDE THE BOX"
TASK: KODAK MOBILE PRINTING

Given an Airstream trailer and a graphic artist, each team must create and operate a mobile printing station for Kodak. One man moves over to lead the women's team, but the ladies turn on him and his dictatorial style. Disaster strikes one team at the 11th hour when they spill coffee on their computer, ruin their graphics, and must face the consequences. The Kodak executives decide the winning team, and in the end, another celebrity is fired.

OK...Who else believes that Gene got HIMSELF fired on purpose?
If you ever watch "Family Jewels" you know that ANY time off his cell phone making money
for himself is too much time. I think he was ich'in to get back to work.

well gene is gone. after seeing this episode it is painfully obvious that the show is rigged. we all know the ladys should have won. anyone in there right mind dould see it. well it is official. another reality show that turns out to be fixed well screw me. i was really enjoying it up to this point!!!

i say we should all boycott the show from this point on. i know me and all the people i watched it with are not going to watch anymore!!!

Now the show is several notches below par without Gene. I thought the main goal of this show was to bring in money for charity. I guess Donald got caught up in the testosterone and forget. Should have kept Gene all the way to the end - he is great TV. Donald YOU BLEW IT!!!!! Should have gotten rid of Amorasso. This isn't about tasks and such it is about the Celebs and money for charity. Needless to say now I have to find something else to watch since Gene was the only one keeping me interested. I am sure many others feel the same way.

I agree. This was the last episode I am watching. I do not watch DT anymore as he showed his true age level with the insults to Rosie O. I was only watching the Apprentice this season for Gene Simmons and now that he is gone, I am also gone.

I have not been a huge fan of this show since it began, but I loved the concept of having a celebrity version. Gene Simmons is not my favorite celebrity but I think he made the show. With him being fired, I will not watch the show anymore, and there is a multitude of people that I know that agree with me. With that being said, I am not making Mr. D. Trump out to be the bad guy in this, he practically begged Gene to request other contestants to come back to the boardroom to no avail. However, with the threat of ratings going down if I were Mr. Trump no matter if the others had done nothing wrong, he should have fired the weaker out of the 3 and I do not believe that Gene was one of them.
My comments are going to be criticized, and possibly picked apart, but I did take the time to sign up to express my opinions to all the readers out there to let the world know. This very popular television show, has just lost another viewer. Its really to bad that I am not the only one because everyone that stops watching this show will drop the ratings percentage and threaten the future of this show. I wish all the best to all the other contestants, even Omarosa! (shes hungry for this job, maybe she cannot get anyone else to work with her)

And speaking of thinking outside the box, I think we really should forgot about printing all together. We don't need to pollute the world anymore by wasting paper and disposing of ink. Electrons are much easier to recycle.

Gene Simmons was by far the most entertaining contestant on Celebrity Apprentice. The celebrity gossip mags give 2 stars at a minimum (just to make producers happy), with Gene gone, I can't imagine anyone continuing to watch the show. Who of the remaining cast has any redeeming qualities or even a hint of personality? Get ready for the abrupt cancellation of this show. Great job Gene . . . Kodak doesn't know what they are talking about!

Gene is gone, so no reason to continue watching. Gene seemed to want to get fired so he could get the hell out of there! The rest are second rate stars compared to Gen, so it's on to Family Jewels. Much better show!
The Apprentice has finally hit rock bottom!

Donald Trump should be fired for firing Gene Simmons. He is the only reason why most people were watching the show. And, yes, I agree with Gene. Kodak was thinking too small when they were only worried about selling ink. Gene was trying to drag Kodak into the 21st century of marketing and Kodak blew it.

I won't say who won but I smell a celebrity who wanted to go home. LOL

Mr. Trump has made a serious error in judgement. Probably based on his testosterone level. A true business desicision should have been based on the fact that Gene Simmons is by far the best candidate for Apprentice ratings, as this is a tv show. I'm sure ratings will drop considerably in the coming weeks. Not a wise business move period.

Gene absolutely forced Trump to fire him. But why?

We have realized two things with this episode:

1. Kodak is where it is because all it cares about is the small stuff (i.e. ink). I buy a printer because it prints well...not because the ink is cheap.

2. The Apprentice is where it is because it doesn't have any people like Mr. Simmons.

All I know is that I just took this show right out of my DVR will not be the same without Gean, that and Do not really care for the rest of the Cast. Who in the Donald Trump organazation picked the woman never heard of all but two of them.

Gene was in total control in that boardroom. In the end, he made the desn for Donald and it was his desn to leave and I am leaving the show with him. THANK GOD I can still visit him on A&E. The Donald myth was just exposed and dupped by Gene....season ohhhhhhver. The girls plan (Gene) was better and bigger picture. That was classic power board room struggle and the one dupped was Trump, he didn't make that desn, how is his ego now? The really great joke is Donald didn't see that coming and reacted. KISS of the spiderwoman.....CLASSIC! Way to go Gene. He is taking the ratings with him, are we looking at another bankruptcy Donald?

Well, that is it. No more Apprentice. I would not have bought a printer out of the trailer park trash trailer even if they were giving it to me. Gene was right the women did a great job the show is rigged so instead of buying a new Kodak printer. I will go out and buy anything but. Last Kodak camera I had broke in a week anyhow, so I guess they know how to take money and do not deliver quality. Trump is a fool and can take his show and put it where the sun don’t shine.

I agree, Gene brought back the 2 that he knew Donald would not fire...my opinion is that he wanted to leave, because (as he stated many times) "I stand behind the product" He feels that his was the best, and since the Kodak people couldn't see it...he would be the one to go. It's a shame, but he is the almighty Gene Simmons, and even with his arrogance, you can not deny his guinness in business.

Yes but it also needs cheap ink. The average consumer can not spend 60 dollars for 2 cartridges. I just came over to see if anyone else thought maybe Gene wanted to go home and got himself fired but I think Donald knew about it. I also think the women made a critical mistake as Kodak suggested in not making this about the ink. Thats why they lost. Kodak has been touting this ink hard for quite a while. This was about the ink not the printer. At Christmas or a ways before they even put out a 30 minute infomercial on this new cheaper ink. Apparently the women do not worry about the price of ink like the average consumer. Bad ladies: out of touch with the average consumer will make you lose.

Why watch the show now??? I never watched it EVER before and really was enjoying it because Gene is so entertaining.... I do believe Gene has better things to do with his time. If it is real... Trump is an idiot because he just lost 90% of his viewers... Gene won!

Brilliant! Absolutely brilliant! Gene Simmons brought in two innocuous people because he wanted to be fired. I think it was for two reasons: first, he was tired of playing a nonsensical game; second, by doing what he did, he actually beat Trump at his own self-serving garbage! This was the best gambit I've seen on The Apprentice in years. Bravo, Tongue Man. You won!!! Put on your makeup, grab that guitar, go make $1 million per concert and donate $250,000 to whoever you want.

By the way, I think if Gene had gone to the meeting and heard more of what they wanted to do to promote ink, he would have taken the word INK and made Introducing New Kodak out of it or something like that.

I have to admit Gene was the reason I watched. I will give the show a chance without him but not sure if I will be able to bear it. He was fun to watch.

And what the hell is Kodak thinking stressing about their ink. Seriously. Do they really think people are going to buy their printers because they have magical ink???

Idiot#2 : Its the ink! Its inkier than the competitors ink. I could stay here all day and talk to you about how great the ink is but you should just go out and buy one for yourself so you can experience Kodaks ink. Its fantastic!

Yes, now I don't have to decide in two weeks which show to watch: LOST or Celebrity Apprentice. With Gene gone, I won't watch the rest of the season.

The Donald, at one point, said "Gene you give me no choice." Yes, the Donald had a choice. Trump could have fired Nely without even asking Gene to come back to the board room. He's done it before in previous Apprentices.

I agree that Gene Simmons is great TV. I really wanted to see more of his antics. Not only that I think Gene is smart. He is an interesting character. Too bad. He will be missed, but who knows maybe they will suprise us and bring him back.

That's pretty much exactly what I was thinking. He wanted to get fired so he could go with his life instead of having to spend 3 days a week with Trump for the next 12 weeks. With him gone its seriously going to affect the ratings like the others were saying.

Gene may like some Guinness when doing business, but he sure is a genius when it comes to making money$$$

Right you are! And how can Jim Cramer sit there and say, "I just don't understand it" or whatever he muttered? If that didn't show the program is B.S., nothing will. And Ivanka looking like a deer in the headlights. Gene, my man, you are the champion. If Trump were smart, he'd hire Simmons as a consultant just to show the rest of Trump's execs what sticking to your guns is all about no matter how much money the boss has. When Donald did not fire Gene for "insulting my daughter" last week, you knew he had met his match. Tonight was entertainment at its best and television pablum at its worst.

I think what will happen, like with all reality shows, someone will have to leave because of some personal problem and Donald will need to bring someone back. And we all know who that someone is going to be.... He really didn't want to go to the girls side, you could see that in his face. Maybe he wanted to get kicked off. I know that the show will suck without him.

I thought the beginning of the show Kodak alluded to taking it big "world wide". Gene did the right thing for Kodak. No wonder they cant get it right.

NOPE! The ladies should not have won and that is because of Nely, who just would not shut up and listen to what the Client wanted. She took the wrong message back to Gene. She said nothing at all about the INK! SHE is the one who should have been fired. Gene knew that and he refused to bring her back.

Never going to watch Celebrity Apprentice again! Gene was one of the smartest people they had. My husband told me two weeks ago he gave up when "He" kept Omerosa! But I had high-hopes. Now I see his way and give up also. Too bad, I really thought I was going to enjoy Apprentice this time around. All I can say now is Good Luck Omerosa, Thank God Trump Likes you. (If only for the ratings)

It's what I said earlier. Kodak blew it. Donald Trump let Kodak's short sighted managers drag his show down by putting him in a position to have to fire Gene. Now Trump should be fired. And P.S. to Kodak -Haven't they heard that you can get your ink cartridges refilled at any Walgreen's for $10 for black ink and $15 for color so whatever they are offering is a day late and a dollar short.

Ok seriously Gene Simmons isn't all that, there is still more to the show and each celebrity still has good charities for money to give to, please if all there is is Gene Simmons we are pathetic tv watchers,
he was just a pain in the neck and yes he wanted to be fired he likes things to go the way he wants them too!

I was shocked. I believe he forced Donald to fire him. He had his charity donation, maybe he was just ready to go.

I was raving at the TV screen watching the men's team miss a great idea when they spilled coffee on their laptop. Their winning concept for Kodak happened right on that conference table, and they didn't see it! All they had to demonstrate was a short film/commercial inside that trailer - of what happpened. With a background of Billy calling brother, Steve. (although Steve didn't really have to appear). Script depicting that what got wiped off was something Billy might have just emailed to Steve or someone just prior to the spill.

Script going something like:
"Ruined your own computer? Hey, Billy, didn't you just share those pics with brother, Steve? He can print them for you - on his Kodak EasyShare printer. Easy Share can mean an Easy Save on ink or precious pics and documents! That's what you get with Kodak. It's easy. (EasyShare, that is)."

I ought to be in the commercial biz ! The guys could have WOW'd Kodak with that true-life experience, and Trump would have really been impressed - in this viewer's opinion. I sure hope the Team reads these boards !

I am a fan of Gene's creativity and business smarts. He and the ladies put together one kick butt display. I do however agree with the Kodak Company and The Donalds decision to fire him. Gene chose not to go to the meeting with the company and sent Nely who spends too much time talking and not enough time listening. Gene doesn't like to listen either.

It's also a mazing that he didn't bring the big mouth chick from Telemundo into the final meeting. As much as I think Omarosa is the spawn of Satan, she didn't deserve to be fired this time. Had I been in Donald's seat My preference would have been to fire Nely instead of Gene. This was her second failure and only Gene's first. But Gene laid the axe to his own neck because of his pride. As the old Bible addage says, "Pride goes before a fall." It's unfortunate that his pride was more important than the charity he was playing for.

Neither of the teams seemed to come up with anything original. Is it too obvious (perhaps too cheesy?) to base a campaign on the word incredible, with a capital "K" in place of the "c"?? There is plenty of "low hanging fruit" (e.g. - two of the five letters in the company's name are a K, uses the work "ink" in the main word for the campaign, do the "dictionary thing" where you do the incredible/inKredible correlation, etc.) they could have highlighted/used and gotten credit for, and lots of reasonably clever tag lines and visuals they could have come up with in less than 24 hours. Not a "marketing guy", but it seems like the simplest solution is usually the best....

It is not about the tasks - it is about having the Celebs on and entertaining TV. I think you miss the point of the whole show. Which is what Gene was telling Donald. DONALD - YOU BLEW IT!!!!

I'm sorry, but Stephen Baldwin said it right in the first episode, "we've got a secret weapon on our team and his name is Mr. Gene Simmons." The Baldwin boy may be completely looney, but he did get that statement right. I am NOT a huge KISS fan, nor do I think Gene is irresistable (like he seems to believe). I do like Gene's style and charisma. I can't believe half of the things that come out of his mouth! The man sure knows how to make a dollar bill work for him. You have to give him that.

Plus, there are better shows to watch on Thursday nights. Please let me plug again LOST Thursday nights 9pm starting on January 31st on ABC. <I do not work for Disney, ABC, or affiliates>

It won't be the same without Gene. Poor Donald didn't have a choice without sacrificing his so-called credibility as "the boss." I know they will use viewers...maybe they can bring him back to help judge the teams.
Why is Omarosa on? I know there are people on TV you love to hate, but she's not one of them. I can't stand to even watch her. She is so far from reality, it's sickening. If I were Trump, I'd fire her just for being an idiot. (Although I'll give her credit this time...she hasn't been lying, whining and pulling the race card this time)

GENE a TiVo is a device the common people use to record TV shows because idiot network execs schedule good show to compete with other good shows so we spend money on computers to help us around the thinking of idiot network execs. However with the writers strike there has been no need to use one!!
