I couldn't find a ratings thread, but I had to report this great news for NBC & Biggest Loser:

NBC finished second in both total viewers and adults 18-49 with its combination of the two-hour season-premiere of The Biggest Loser (Viewers: 10.45 million; A18-49: 4.3/10), which picked up steam in every half hour and was a vast improvement from recent season openers,

Half Hour Breakdown:
The Biggest Loser (NBC)
8:00 p.m. – Viewers: 8.50 million (#3), A18-49: 3.3/ 8 (#2t)
8:30 p.m. – Viewers: 9.49 million (#3), A18-49: 4.0/ 9 (#2)
9:00 p.m. – Viewers: 11.05 million (#2), A18-49: 4.6/11 (#2)
9:30 p.m. – Viewers: 12.72 million (#2), A18-49: 5.5/12 (#1)

And now you have a ratings thread. smile.gif

Well, it's not like there was anything else new on. Plus I think the couple relationships are a big draw - people are looking at how not to be each other's saboteur.

And maybe they want to see people worse than themselves. tongue.gif

Interesting, I assumed BL's ratings were high but I was always curious as to where it ranks. Thanks for the info.

The first hour came in third for the 8pm hour, and the second hour came in second for the 9pm slot (and even first among adults 18-49). Not bad considering the competition and limited appeal in relation to the other successful shows.

From Zap2it:

"Guest mentor Mariah Carey and "American Idol" (13.7/22) easily won the 8 p.m. hour. "NCIS" put CBS in second with a solid 9.3/15. The finale of "The Biggest Loser: Couples," 5.9/9, took third for NBC. An hour of "According to Jim" came in fourth for ABC, beating out "Beauty and the Geek," 1.1/2, on The CW.

ABC took the overall lead at 9 p.m. with the "Dancing with the Stars" results show, 9.8/15. The crowning of "The Biggest Loser" (7.8/12), however, scored a better adults 18-49 rating, as did FOX's "Hell's Kitchen," 6.6/10. CBS dropped to fourth with "Big Brother: 'Til Death Do You Part," 4.3/6. The CW held steady with a "Reaper" repeat."
