I like Steve alot, yes I do like his long hair...sexy on men.

I have watched Days for about a year so I don't know how or why the eye patch? When I see him I wonder why he can't remove it? I'd love to see him without it.

There were 4 gun shots...my first thought was that Steve would be the #1 shooter. Am I wrong?

Hi there! It's good to have another fan of Steve!
Years ago, Steve arrived in Salem with his Patch, a result of a fight he and Bo had when both were merchant marines. Of course, is was because of a woman A few years later, Steve went undercover on a mission to help his friend, Marcus, a Doctor. Marcus operated on his eye, giving Steve a glass eye, to help with the undercover disguise. After that mission was done, Steve's never-mentioned-before wife, Marina came back to ask Steve for his help with finding a key (long story). When Kayla found out about Marina, she left Steve and stayed with her parents (after she found out Marina was his wife. At first Steve denied knowing her; then mentioned they were involved, but never mentioned a marriage to Marina.) Anyway, Steve and Marina travelled to Italy to look for the key. When Steve found out Victor or Marina (I'm not sure which) double-crossed him, Steve had a fight with one of Victor's henchmen, who knifed Steve's glass eye out again. When he returned to Salem, he found out Kayla had left him and didn't want him to contact her. Marcus pleaded with Steve to have his eye replaced, but Steve persisted in searching for Sweetness, insisting surgery would slow down any progress he could make tracking her down. Jack brought Kayla back to see Steve in the hospital. That's when Kayla confronted Steve about his marriage to Marina. (Kayla was pregnant by this time, but didn't tell Steve until later). Whew, that's tiring! But that's a little background on Steve's use of his patch. He's a hottie with or without his patch

okay heres my 2 cents. Isaw in an intrvie that Stephen Nicols told them that the 2 eyed Steve would not go over well and it didnt.

I had trouble remembering the scenes back then, because I hated that they brought another woman in there, I never believed that Steve would have never told Kayla about M. after she gained all his trust. I have seen old clips and I didn't recognize Steve at first, it didn't look or feel like him. He always had great chemistry with Jack, and the scene I saw when Steve went to see Jack after Jack was beat up, it was watching strangers talking to each other, it was flat. I am glad he has the patch!

Me, too! He just wasn't the Steve I know and love without his patch. The patch IS Steve. Just like Kayla, I think it's sexy, too

They are a sexy couple and if the writers would just write for them, I think they could give us a really entertaining show. So sad the way they are being neglected.

I was recently reminded of this in another conversation. It's so interesting that Steve actually chose to keep the patch the second time around, after it was such a reminder of his difficult past. It seemed like he didn't like who he became without it, and he finally accepted that it was a part of him. I can't imagine him without it these days.
