I am a Singer too! I am 16 years old and I also planning to audition in Dallas! About the date and time you gotta wait...I know it sucks but when they annouce our city on the home page thats when we'll start recieving letters, e-mails, phone calls, etc. So sorry but were in the same boat. Just keep checking the site like I am and be prepared. Oh and about your singing I left a comment on your fever vid.

oh i went and saw the comment, i didnt know that was her name, i saw her beofre in her video, but i didnt know she was on American Idol....im try and sing it the way she does, i know i can....so and thank you...i prolly wud have suck like 10 worst.

I'm just a little confused. I see AGT posted filming dates in Dallas. Have anyone received any audition dates yet?

Dallas Auditions

Does anyone know how this process works? If you make the auditions, there is a 2nd audition. If you make that audition, what happens next and if that person has a job, will they have to quite their job? Please advise.

When you go to Dallas, you will be in the pre-auditon stage. You will go in, do your bit, and leave. At that point, you will wait 2-6 weeks for a call back. If you get a call back (which could be at one of the other auditon cities or to vegas) You will go and do your bit again. If you pass threw Vegas, then you might need to think about making arrangements with your employer. If you make the top 10, you could miss from 2- 8 weeks of work, depending on how well you do on the show. But don't over think it yet, It's way tooooooooo early. I am a singer. I sent a tape in last year, but the email I got asked me to complete the application again and after I audition I might get a call back in 3 to 4 days for an audition that will be taped live here in Dallas..

yes, I auditioned in Nashville. Had a great time. It was wonderful. One of the best auditions I have ever been on.

I also auditioned in Nashville, but the other day I received an email to audition in Dallas on March 3rd. The email also said that we would know right away if we will make it to the next round which will take place 3-4 days later. I'm not sure what this means. Can anyone give me any insight? I thought maybe I was double-booked to audition, but I also thought that if I was called back I would go straight to Vegas, not another audition. QUEENFISH???...Somebody???... Can you shed some light on this situation.

The most likely explanation for me is that just submitted your info twice and you clicked the wrong city from the online application form .

There are auditions for Dallas and then they are taping in Dallas a few days later after those auditions. That could be what they are referencing by "a few days later" in your email. It appears they are using a few of the cities for taping purposes with the 3 celebrity judges. If you recall last years show, it bears this out. The 3 celebrity judges weren't at all of the initial auditions. It is my understanding that the next round will be held in Las Vegas. I hope I haven't confused you more.

Thanks for the help. When I read the email again, it said that i I make it to the next round 3-4 days later, then it will be held at a local theater. You didn't confuse me. It's just that Vegas isn't even on the email. I had the same understanding as you did until that email arrived. Thanks again for your help. Let me know if you hear any other facts that may help shed some light on this confusing situation.

It sounds to me that you may have applied to auditon more than once, and hit that city at some point instead of nashville. Maybe???? hmmmm, if that isn't it, I have no clue.

the time slots just help them with crowd control. Get there at 5 or 6 am, no matter what you timeslot is, get in and get out.

Anyone Receive A (REVISED) email confirmation for Dallas Auditions?

I was one of the people who received an email about auditions in Dallas, although I had already auditioned in Nashville, and I wasn't sure if it was a mistake or not. Yesterday, I received a revised email that changed the audition venue from the Majestic theatre on March 3rd to the Fairmont Hotel on March 3rd, which is the original audition venue. Anyone who has received a 2nd email is welcomed to let me know if they also received a revised email confirmation. Thanks and GOD bless everyone.
