Anyone else wishing they would convince Kirsten & Jason to come back? I've been watching this show for almost 20 years, off and on, and don't find any other actors to be believable in the roles of Shawn and Belle. If you've been watching since the beginning of Shelle, then you know what I'm talking about. I think Martha and Brandon are good actors, but I just don't buy it. I hope with Jay and Nadia back, maybe they'll be more so inclined to in the next few years. I REALLY hope they don't try to replace the characters again. My opinion is bring back Jason and Kirsten, or don't bring back Belle and Shawn at all!

Well, I've been watching since the very beginning of Shelle when it was Jason and Kirsten, but I absolutely adore Brandon and Martha in the roles now. They have become Shelle for me! There's no way I could see JC and KS as Shawn and Belle anymore. BB and MM totally pull off the grown up version of Shelle we have now, IMHO. I don't think the couple could survive yet another recast. If it were up to me, I'd rather they bring back Brandon and Martha or just leave Shelle off the show forever. I don't want to see anyone else besides them in the roles. Sorry!

I totally agree with you Leslie. I also started watching DAYS when they were both first introduced as Belle and Shawn. I absolutely loved Jason & Kirsten. But, Brandon & Martha are Shelle now.

I agree almost. Kirsten is on GH now and yes her contract is up this spring but she will resign or leave. But I don't see Kirsten coming back to Days as Belle. I enjoy her more as Maxie on GH. It would be hard for me to get use to Kirsten as Belle again. Days has changed the character so much since she was Belle. I can only see Martha as Belle now. Martha has totally made Belle her own. So I would want Martha back as Belle. I would also want Brandon or Jason back as Shawn. If Jason came back I would be ok with it. We never got to see Jason and Martha together as Shelle. When Jason was playing Shawn, Shelle were split up and sneaking around. I would like to see Shelle actually together with Jason and Martha in the role. Thats how I feel. If its Martha, Brandon, or Jason that comes back as Shelle I will be ok with it. As long as its not two new actors because our couple could not take another recast.

I loved Kirsten and Jason!! They are the only ones that can play Shelle for me!! Without Kirsten as Belle and with Jason as Shawn I love Shimi!! Kirsten & Jason for Shelle and Farah & Jason for Shimi!!!

I was surprised at how much speculation there is about Kirsten and Jason being sought after to reprise their roles. Do a google search on it and you'll see what I mean. I really hope this is true. I have not enjoyed Days since Kirsten left. Shawn's storyline has been so empty and non-believable, and it's because he's not with the original Belle. Jason is a great actor, and Martha did a good job with what she had to work with. But the role was written for Kirsten, and I think she'd do a terrific job if she came back. Yes, it'd take some getting use to, seeing her with a child - but she can do it. I think KS & JC have some of the best chemistry I've seen on television. Brandon and Martha did what they could, and I wish them both good luck. But Shawn & Belle work best because of Jason & Kirsten.

I haven't watched the show since they said that they were fired...I don't care who plays them..(unless the great Charity Rahmer is available) I want my Shelle.

I personally get tired of tolerating Belle these days. Everything with her is so "oohhh, I am SO sooorrry" I didn't know Phillip really liked me" IMO, she is poor actress. She does not play innocent or passionate, or sincere very well IMO. I did not like her on her first appearance, but I decided that I would give her a chance, still do not like her.
This Shawn.....Oh man, he is such a wimp, and so utterly stupid. I mean, he is nothing like "Shawn" (Jason) used to be. Nothing. When they changed character, they literally changed characters. I was very disappointed. I am glad that they are gone for now. I was getting to point of FF through them.

I think we need classic Belle and Shawn back!! I have watched since the beginning of Shelle and the new characters just don't do it. We need the original Belle and Shawn back!!! Also.. since there is not a topic for this (that I have seen)... BRING BACK MIMI AND REX!! Not new ones, the original Mimi and Rex. Thanks for reading!

I agree bring back classic Shelle Kristen and Jason have great chemistry and they are perfect for this role no one else can pull it off like these two.

Well I like Kirsten and Jason myself I think they made Shelle what they were. I also agree about Mimi and Rex I think it was sad how their relationship ended she should have just been honest with him and anyways I don't believe that Rex would have been upset if he found out she was pregnat I mean it wasn't planned it wasn't planned but he wouldn't have wanted her to get an abortion.

I agree with you i think jason and kirsten were the best shawn and belle ever...never liked martha and brandon was okay.
