I absolutely loved Andrew McCarty's character. He is so handsome now that he's older. I loved him in St. Elmo's Fire. He is listed on the IMDB as being in only 1 episode, which concerns me.

Andrew McCarthy stars in NBC's "Lipstick Jungle" as "Joe Bennett," a multi-billionaire who relies heavily on his assistant for everything, including asking out women such as Victory Ford (Lindsay Price). He doesn't like to be bothered with anything, as he feels everything can be solved with money and power. Joe wants what he wants and rarely takes no for an answer until now – when he must conquer the love of Victory.

At the age of 19, McCarthy made his screen debut in the feature film "Class," paving the way for him to appear in more than 30 feature films, numerous television shows and more than two dozen live theater productions. One of the few actors working successfully and simultaneously in all mediums, McCarthy has built a resume as extensive as it is versatile.

He can soon be seen in Paramount's fantasy adventure "The Spiderwick Chronicles," as well as the independent film "Camp Hope."

The last several years have seen McCarthy branch into directing and writing, with the award-winning short film, "News for the Church," and in the theater, most recently, by directing the acclaimed production of Neil Labute's "Things We Said Today" off-Broadway. It was during the 1980s that McCarthy gained recognition in Hollywood when he starred in such iconic films as "St. Elmo's Fire" and "Pretty in Pink," as well as the cult favorites "Mannequin" and "Weekend at Bernies." The '90s saw him work with such esteemed directors as Claude Chabrol and John Frankenheimer and in films as varied as "The Joy Luck Club," "Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle," and "Mulholland Falls," among others.

Andrew made his New York Theater debut in 1985. He has starred on Broadway in "The Boys of Winter," and in the Tony Award-winning play "Sideman," and appeared in the works of Eugene O'Neill, Tennessee Williams, and Horton Foote, to name a few. His most recent New York appearance was in Neil Labute's "Fat Pig."

He is still a hottie! His last scene was deliciously romantic and sexy!

I'm completely in love with Andrew. He is the perfect Mr. Bennet he is perfect for the role. and the chemistry between Victory and Him are just YUMMY!!!!!! but I'm also worry cause in IMBD it said that he was going to appeared in only 1 show! Why? can anybody find out and explain it to me!!!!!

Nov. 8, 2007—I am sitting at a table in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, about to do a table read of the first two episodes of Lipstick Jungle, a new television show for NBC based on Candace Bushnell's novel of the same name. At any given point in the last six months, I would have told you that the odds of my sitting here were 50-50—at best. Candace is the person responsible for creating Sex and the City, and because of that, there has been a lot of time and attention focused on Lipstick Jungle in the hope that lightning might strike twice. But the history of this project has been fraught—even by television's fickle standards...

I really hope we see more of Andrew in the episodes to come, I catch myself smiling in every scene he is in...what else is there to say besides, HE IS SO SEXY!!!! Bring on Mr. Bennett PLEASE!!!!!

Andrew McCarthy is still SO HOT! Sick. Though, not to be too cynical ... but, pleeease: men like his character do NOT exist. No man acts like that dude after date, what, 3? "Let me fly you to Miami for lunch; search for and buy you a hat you made in college' ... Riiight. Seriously - they haven't even slept together yet, right? I don't know - something's up. He's going to turn out to be a total ahole stalker or something. NBC/show producers are just setting up the swept-off-the-feet fairy tale to make for a bigger shocking turn of events ... gay? He's going to pull a Tom Cruise 'I'm secret gay and I need a fake wife for appearances' situation?

But, it's OK - his firing hotness makes up for his silly character.

BTW, his 80s days characters were the hottest.

fairytales do happens. pretty woman made it.lol. but i have dated few guys. not billionares but they are infact just regular nice guys who somehow would do things for the one they love or like. i don't think some rich guys does it to impress...they just happens to have the means. but all in all...some of these guys are really down to earth. that is waht i like more so than what they have. and that is the truth. some may have evetyhing they have but looking for a fairytale too in their lives. remeber. being rich sometimes is from hardwork and came from nothin...so they still know the hardships in life.

Andrew McCarthy is talented, gorgeous and timless. His speciality is seducing, kissing and making love to a woman on the screen - and there is NO CLOSE SECOND IN THAT CATEGORY. Sorry Kirby but Andrew does't have to take off his shirt to be sexy. So PLEASE MORE ANDREW in Lirstick Jungle.

Totally agree...he has aged very nicely. I love his character...perfect choice for this role! I really hope they continue the relationship with he and Victory!! Love it!!

I hope they do not continue their relationship. He does not care for Victory, no one, I think, can move on in 5 days after breaking up with someone that you loved and has been intimate with. But that is what Drew did. That is "moving on" just a little too quick.

I hope they connect Victory with someone else, and from the looks of it on the preview, they have. WAY TO GO VICTORY!

I have to disagree with you on this one. I hope that Joe and Victory get back together again. Joe cares very much for Victory and she cares for him. That much is obvious in the Season 2 premiere. As far as Andrew (Joe) moving on after 5 days, well he really didn't. Last season Victory clearly told Joe "we're done, we're done". Personally I think she made too much out of it. Joe respected that and left her alone. As far as the woman in his bed scene, I was upset with Joe until last night's episode. What did Joe say? He never dated the woman. I think he said they were wine tasting and one thing led to another. What do you expect? Joe also told Victory with all sincerity that he missed her after not seeing her for two months. I think the episodes are being played out so that Victory will "temporarily have another love interest" which will drive Joe crazy and will cause him to chase after her some more. At some point they will be back together again. I really like Victory but she is not playing fair on this one.

As far as Andrew McCarthy is concerned, he does look more handsome and natural than the last season. He is definitely ideal for the role he is playing as Joe Bennett. Andrew will always be my favorite actor. :wub: He is good at everything he does. Fans always refer to his older movies like Pretty In Pink. However, I think he has made some pretty awesome movies in the last 10 years like Straight From the Heart, Anything But Love, Heaven Must Wait and Kingdom Hospital not to mention the 2 movies he just finished. Starr Report: Taking a Victory lap

"Lipstick Jungle" co-star Andrew McCarthy (Joe) has directed an episode of the NBC series scheduled to air early next month. It's McCarthy's episodic TV directorial debut; he got his feet wet, behind the camera, directing commercials, a short film and some theatrical productions.


"Most of the time the director comes in and is the person least familiar with the show," says McCarthy, who didn't have to worry about that. He was mostly distracted, he said, by having "the makeup and hair people messing with me just before a take."

The episode revolves around the comeback fashion show of Joe's ex-girlfriend, Victory (Lindsay Price).

The night before interviewing McCarthy, I happened across a screening of his 1987 movie, "Mannequin," on Starz (it co-starred future "Sex and the City" gal Kim Cattrall).

I asked McCarthy, now 45, if he "cringes" when he sees his "Brat Pack"-era movies. "I don't watch those movies so I don't know if I'd cringe," he said. "I think they're like old friends at this point.

"I'm not one who has much nostalgia for my past... but I think those movies really touch something for a certain generation

For me each episode of season 2 was better and better but today's episode was so far the best. There was a lot of action going on. I think that Andrew did a great job as a director !!!

I also think that Andrew did a great job as a director. He is also an awesome actor. I didn't care for tonight show because I thought that Joe would be able to propose to Victory. I didn't expect Victory to hurt Joe the way she did. I hope that they get together again soon and that Victory stops playing with Joe's feelings.

For those of you missing Andrew Mccarthy tonight , there is a great little movie on "me" tube...search for Andrew MCcarthy...not sure the name of it but stars Teri Polo and is a Danielle Steele cowboy type movie...it's actually not too bad and reminds me a bit of Joe and Vic...he plays a guy with love problems...but don't watch until after the Jungle

Out of all the main male characters in Lipstick Jungle, Andrew McCarthy is my FAVORITE!!!

I know everyone loves Kirby shirtless, but I'd choose Joe anyday. He has intensity and depth. I empathize with him and cheer for him and Victory.

Bring back Joe!!!! Totally missed seeing Joe in last nights episode!!
