I absolutely loved this episode! The show is getting better each week. Wendy and especially Victory got (a bit) upset by Nico's confession for having an affair with a 25-year-old, completely understandable since, as Wendy said, 'they tell each other everything' !. Luckily for Nico, the sexual harassment suit has been dropped. I am suspecting her husband Charles is hiding something.....maybe an affair with one of his students? The student has his home number and Charles 'suddenly' felt ill and denied Nico's suggestion that they both returned home, so he left alone.....but where to?
And thank you NBC for keeping the Nico/Kirby storyline alive, this couple's chemistry is blazing!
Also Josh and Victory's assistent may not be the main characters of Lipstick Jungle, but their roles bring a lot of 'fun' into the show. laugh.gif I can't hardly wait for the next chapter!

We do know one thing is for sure...Nico does have everything. A marriage that is a farse, she committed adultry first ( Al though I agree the Hub is getting a little from the student..Yeah you go daddy) and two-Nico may keep ole Kirby on the side but when he wants more will she give it to him like love and committment, and when she gets older and older will he stick with her. I mean think about it folks. He said he wants her, but will he handle her little trists limited to his apartment for long. Banging him in the office, remmeber she can't allow this to be exposed because it could cost her, her career. And she did at one point allow for the company to 'pay' for her case to goaway. The hub, well we really don't know if he is cheating or not, but as I have said before, I think he is ( YES ), I mean why can't we accect his infidelity as we have accepted Nico's? I will say this much though, he was stupid for giving her his home number, but wait he is a teacher and probably many of his students have it. So lets say she (The student ) was an idiot for calling him, but wait! She did have a question about her grades....ah the plot thickens.

This episode was great! I am happy that Kriby dropped th charges for Nico and the whole drunk driving part was funny. I think that Nico's husband was the one that has been having an affair long before Nico did, just the way in previous episodes how he didn't even really notice her or give her much attention. I think Nico realizes that she isn't the only one getting some on the side....Oh the Drama! Can't wait for the next episode...next Thursday seems soooo far away!...lol

I will agree with you on one thing. I like this show, and I must admit I didn't give it a chance. What a marriage, but we still don't know if Charles cheated, I mean professors give their phone numbers to their students all the time, and if he was cheating the idiot would be a complete fool over being so obvious about it. Oh well, as a Law and Order guy I am hooked on this show. I wonder how this will play out. I once knew a women, she was in her late 30's, who, in her mind, dated a younger man and it all was for the worst. I just worry about her career. She did let her employer, legally, make an offer to hush this up. I like wnedys character the best.

Boring, boring, boring!!! For three women who are supposedly highly intelligent and powerful all they do is whine and cry. I can't believe that this show is still on the air. Nico pays off her lover with a personal check. How stupid can this get. No one in business would ever do anything so blantantly obvious as fire someone that they're having a sexual relationship then write them a check from their personal account and not think that they'll be sued for sexual harassment. Who writes this dribble? And Wendy who can't get her home life and business life together and has one crisis moment after another. Oh, poor Wendy is a bad mommy and is crying. Please spare us. It's a shame that a good book has been turned into something that is torture to watch.

i do understand ur thoughts to this show. well first the book may not be so much interesting for me because i am more a visual person so i love the show more. if they follow the book itself accordingly then maybe within 6 episodes then the story ends. ofcourse having a show they have to expand the story line more. was it a personal check or a work pay check...that scene may not seem real to me. they could have at least made a longer conversation bet. nico and kirby before she hand him whatever check that was. oh well...the writing will be much better once the 6 more episodes done...with the writers back at work and so far the episodes are getting exciting more. more twist in stories...i love the victory and wendy arguement...it shows women has some issues when it comes to their friendship. that was real for me. friends do argue a bit but still love each other.

i like lindsay price act when she could be sweet and yet once she is upset it shows her little aggressive and snobbish look. i like that. and yes who is the new assistant of victory...i like him and victory and him adds a little fun story in the show....he is super cute.

I totally agree. The episode was great! I can hardly wait for the next episode. I also agree that Nico's husband is having an affair with one of his student's. Let's face facts. He's not letting Nico give him sex so he must be getting it somewhere else which is really sad. Obviously Nico does love her husband but he is not fulfilling her needs. How stupid is that. Nico is a beautiful woman with a lovely personality. Oh well, I guess we will wait and see what happens in future episodes. I also hope that Victory and Joe Bennett continue on with their relationship. The chemistry between them is great.

Keep in mind everyones favorite boy toy 'Kirby' didn't drop the case, he was bought off. He wouldn't have dropped the case with out financial compensation. He was in this for the mula.....don't look to deep into this folks he is not going to turn out to be that nice of a guy...he is just liked because he is good looking...and Nico never really talked to her husband about their lack of itimacy so their marital coldness is her fault as well....

I have my doubts that the message on their 'home answering machine' would be sexually oriented. He would have been as big a fool as Nico for getting involved with kirby. Remember he showed up at her house. So if we agree that Kirby was in it for extortional purposes then why do we want this relationship to last? Lets look at this logically folks. In the next three or so weeks Nico, without convronting her husband, will assume that he is cheating. Is he ? I think so, but we aren't absoplutely sure as of yet. And her relationship with Kirby, which will go nowhere, will escalte and he'll end up cheating on her with some young girl. It's heading down that road.

Asfar as her husband and 'Megan', well he is no better then Nico. What a marriage, both need to end it and get it over with. As far as a future for Nicos character, I see her ending up like Smantha from SATC. A woman who is willing to jump into bed with everyone, enlightened and free.

God I do love this show. It is so soapy.

Look for Wendy character to have the next dalliance folks. And get rid of Andrew McCarthys character Joe. What a unnecessary addition to a great cast.

I really hope that the Wendy character can maintain her marriage vows. I do think she'll be tempted but I truly hope that she is able to be a character that can work on her marriage~NOT succumb to the "dalliance". It would be refreshing to have a show where there are some characters that actually believe in the marriage bond~not in the illusion that it's a wasted institution.

it's shows nico's husband is having some sort of relationship with others. most men does...marriage is not all what most people say "oh i trust my partner" then ur doomed to do so. people are just people and one way or another...a quickie relationship fills in the need of satisfaction of what is missing in the marriage. and that goes for some women as well. ur partner for the most time could be never be that 100% percent of a person u married. remember...one loves the other more than the other. reason why people stays in a marriage is the compatiblity, the friendship built, the family or the kids. a little temptation if it's told will bring down one foundation of a family house. why say it. relationship could never be perfect and both needs to either keep the secret or understand to work it out without falling apart. their choice. what makes people think that the next relationship would be better or their next partner could be more honest? it 's all recycle. men do need sex more than women needs it...try not to ask if u are not prepared for the answer.

i can agree the nico might be in illussion that kirby is all that good guy. regardless if the guy is into her but in a world would he file the charges if he is not into something. what if he is being paid to have a relationship with nico?hmmmmm by someone else? pcitures of her would serve as a blackmail.

as of wendy...i think things may not go well for her family situation...that is a choice of success she crave for.

andrew might bring in alot of fans but i can't see any chemistry bet. him and linsay price but for sure victory is more in love with him in the long run. i forgot what happens in the book. (at the end).i don't want to know. i'll keep watching the show and re-read the book after the last episode of the show. lol...can't wait to buy this on dvd.

great episode i should say.

I don't think Kirby was bought off to drop the charges, I think he realized how he was hurting Nico and decided that it wasn't worth it. I don't know if the relationship will last and I don't think Nico should get wrapped up with him again because it might come back and bite her in the ass now that that the case is dropped. As far as her husband, if it was just a call from a student, why did he get so flustered and try and cover it up like he didn't want her to hear it? He got really nervous and Nico saw that. I love this show too! I am a BIG Desperate Housewives fan and this show has filled the void, I love both shows now smile.gif....lol biggrin.gif

Nico boss said it was handled. based on the legal aspects of the case he would have filled her in on how it was handled, hence why I feel that Kirby was bought off. AS far as her husband...Oh by the way most couples cheat.... if he was stupi enough to give a student his home number then he deserves whatever he gets. I mean Megan, a nice young hot, and willing student, and far more attractive then Nico, who could resist? Opp's thought I was talking about Nico and Kirby there.

I hope Wendy holds true to her vows, but remember loyalty and stability do not sell ratings. A broken marriage through an affair, whereever it comes from will see this show far better then one that is working. I read the next few episodes on Winkipedia and it has her traveling to Scotland ... try this and remember it is only winkipedia folks it may not be one hundred correct.
see below
"Chapter Five: Dressed to Kill" March 6, 2008 105
Victory discovers that her work has been stolen from a competitive designer and must try to discover how he got his hands on her work. Upon hearing that her old assistant, Reese, is involved in the scandal, Victory must decide if she believes Reese's story. Meanwhile, things heat up again between Nico and Kirby, but not without Nico setting some ground rules first. Nico helps Kirby get a job, but when she spots chemistry between Kirby and the lead actress, she can not help but wonder how deep her feelings really are for this guy? Wendy and Shane go to watch Shane's old band play, and Shane gets back on the stage. After Wendy realizes how good Shane is, she tries to pitch his demo for an upcoming movie she is working on.
6 "Chapter Six: Take the High Road" March 13, 2008 106
A big breakout project, involving J.K. Rowling, presents itself to Wendy and she promises only to tell Nico after she is sworn to secrecy. However, Nico is put in the hot seat by Hector and reveals Wendy's secret to him. Hector immediately assigns both Nico and Wendy to head to Scotland and make a meeting with Rowling happen. Initially, given Shane's new job, Wendy is opposed to going, but after Shane convinces her it would be best, Wendy decides to make the trip. Nico, unaware that Wendy plans to attend the Scotland trip, invites Kirby. It has the makings for a very interesting trip. Meanwhile, Victory is enjoying her newfound investor and thoroughly enjoying the man's willingness to fund all of her ideas. She grows a bit suspicious and tries to get to the bottom of it all, only to find a very unsuspecting surprise.
7 "Chapter Seven: Carpe Threesome" This one has no feed back, but I can guess it involves either Wendy, or Nico and her new found freedom.

Lipstick Jungle is the one show I can't get enough of right now. My favorite character has to be Nicco. I think Kim Raver does an excellent job. Nicco's character portrays what a lot of us women experience as we start getting a little older. It's nice to be wanted, especially if your husband doesn't show any interest in you. I really like the story line.

The only problem I have with Nicos character is she is a 'vistimizer' and not a victim. her desire to get what she wants and avoid responsibility is evident in her waving the check book to make the kirby guy go away. She's a predetor. My favorite character is probably Wendy. Unfortunately quite a few men and women let their biological clocks run thier common sence and fail to work out what is necessary, the proper communication and willingness to discuss their issues.

Can't wait until next week.

Kirby wasn't paid to drop the charges. Remember he turned down the offer of money. Nico got to him when she visited him at the bar. The reason why Kirby was going through with the charges was because Mike influenced him to. Mike lied and told Kirby that Nico sleep with young guys all the time. Kirby really likes Nico and he was hurt when he heard that he was just another guy in a long line of affairs. Then when Nico went and visited him she set the record straight. Kirby and Nico have amazing chemistry. I loved the last scene between them. When Nico asked him "What do you want Kirby?" and he said "You". I loved it. They have me hooked. I wasn't feeling them at first but you can tell that there are feelings there. I am not going to comment on the husband. I don't want to assume that he is having an affair also because that is kind of like letting Nico off the hook. What she is doing is wrong but I can't get enough of it.

Out of the three women, the least significant one would have to be Victory. She is just boring, so is Lindsay Price's acting. I guess she is there to fill the gap, to make it 'three's a company.' If it were for the writer's strike, this show would have been crowded out by other more exciting shows and canceled due to its low rating.

But since this show was able to take advantage of the strike, it has had the opportunity to capture some audience. Let us just hope that there are more stories to the lives of these three women, in and out of the office.

i do understand ur thought and the reason i said that is that people are people...not everone would cheat but i trully believe that men and women (that (goes for women aswell...) would do it...not in any mean of hurting their partner... just to to fill in the void... we all have needs. and it does happens...secretly....no statistics bec. if their is it might be more....lol i could be all wrong...

I agree that people wonder, but to wonder and assume your not hurting someone ( your spouse or significant other) is making the wrong assumption. For example my friends wife. She met a man on a business trip that led to a sexual relationship for three months. She dropped it when she found he was cheating on her ( Nice huh?). In her mind it was worth it. When all the divorce smoke cleared (He found out), she asked me one night at a company function why he took it so seriously( meaning her husband). I asked her how would she feel if he went after some young woman because she didn't give him what he wanted? And she said it would hurt her, but it was different...I don't think you can cheat on someone and expect it not to hurt that would be unrelaistic...not everyone cheats, most want more, that is true, but not everyone cheats...but for those who do it may be better to keep it seceret because it does hurt...a hard violent hurt...

I actually must apologize to you...I genuinely thought that somewhere in that episode her boss said they took care of it. Next time I'll watch the show closer. But I do agree with you about Nico. That she is being let off the hook with the 'supposed' cheating of the husband, yes we don't know yet. But I still don't see this relationship going anywhere, I don't see he really likes her, even what he said was nice and all, but he is far to young for him. They should have left it at that. I mean Nico is a victimizer and she did use him, but in the upcoming episodes lets see where they go with this. One thing is true the way they have developed this relationship it is to me the only thread holding this show together. Vitory is a boring character and I see no chemistry with Joe and her, and Wendy (Yes still my favorite character) is not being developed correctly. I would for dramatic purposes like to see Nicos and Kirby relationship turn sour though. I an't see them together, eventually her ground rules will get to him, whatever she will lay down, and that we will find out next week.

And she said it would hurt her, but it was different...I don't think you can cheat on someone and expect it not to hurt that would be unrelaistic...not everyone cheats, most want more, that is true, but not everyone cheats...but for those who do it may be better to keep it seceret because it does hurt...a hard violent hurt...

i agree...it's the reason why i said "don't ask if ur not ready for the answer...") lol...it hurts .. so keep it a secret is better but the conscience its self is a killer. lol...

Exactly...Not that I am condoning cheating, but I've seen, and I am sure you have as well, cheaters ruin a very good thing because of some fantasy that never really is. There are stories out there that are unbelievable. Remember it very seldom is what it is imagined to be.

So I think it's pretty darn obvious after last week's epi that Nico's hubby is gettin it on w/the college student. My problem w/it is why on earth did Nico not pay attention? She had a look on her face like she was concerned (at least skeptical), but then it seemed to fly right over her head!! Either the writing was bad with the scene, or there's a reason....

**My disclaimer: If I had Kirby on the brain, it MAY fly right over my head too!! tongue.gif**

I think it is a little too obvious that Nico's husband is having an affair with his student. This makes me believe that he isn't but they want you to think he is. I ain't falling for it til I see some real proof.

I love Nico and Kirby. They have amazing chemistry. Keep it going. I am already invested. I am not saying break up Nico and her husband yet but definitely show me where Nico and Kirby are going. I want to see if they would have a chance.

I agree with you about Nico's husband. He probably is not having an affair, but it is perceived he probably is. It is funny how that is a stereotype of professors. I am not saying it doesn't happen, but it is a stereotype of behavior. I find it amusing since my husband is a professor.

I believe her hubby is having an affair also. First of all he doesn't look at Nico. She's tried multiple times to get his attention with no success. That's just crazy unless he's getting it somewhere else. Second his leaving her at the party, his phone call and now his lecture out of town. Third if I've understood the show correctly. Nico was also one time his student. Sounds like he makes a habit of dating students. I think she has every right to go after Kirby. You'd have to be dead not to be interested in a 25 year old that hot who adores you. WOW is all I can say. Writers PLEASE keep this relationship up!!!!!!!!!!!!
