WickedKitty,
I watched your daughter's video and I thought she was amazing!! I think if she wants to audition it would be a great experience for her. I have been auditioning since I was 10 or 11 years old (30 now) and each experience just made me work that much harder. I got my first standing ovation when I was in the 4th grade at a school choir concert and I have been hooked ever since. I have won local competitions and been in a few musicals since then. I am now a Music and Audio Engineering Major at my local junior college.
All these years I watched the kids on Star Search and now on American Idol and AGT and I always say the same thing. . . "I can do that!!" That is what she is saying to herself and she can!! I agree with the other posters . . .just be there for her...cheering her on to her next audition and getting as much local exposure as you can. Call your local sports teams and enquire about how to audition to sing the National Anthem at a local game. Video tape them and post them on YouTube. You will not only get her World Wide exposure but some great constructive critisim. (as I am sure you know) School choir will help her to control her chest to head voice transitions and mold that amazing raw talent.
If she is going to audition I would try something a little easier than "My Heart Will Go On" unless she can sing the (you know what) out of it!! I have been singing for about 20 years and I would not audition with that song. It is a very big song. Please don't take that the wrong way, that is just a suggestion. That song scares the pants off of me!!

I am comforted to hear that the people associated with the audition process are kind and helpful. That always makes the experience so much more enjoyable.
Where is she auditioning? I will be auditioning in Dallas this weekend (03/02)!! Best of Luck to her!!
I have some videos on YouTube as well. I would love your opinion! Thanks in advance.
