WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE—A big breakout project, involving J.K. Rowling, presents itself to Wendy (Brooke Shields) and she promises only to tell Nico (Kim Raver) after she is sworn to secrecy. However, Nico is put in the hot seat by Hector (Julian Sands) and reveals Wendy’s secret to him. Hector immediately assigns both Nico and Wendy to head to Scotland and make a meeting with Rowling happen. Initially, given Shane’s (Paul Blackthorne) new job, Wendy is opposed to going, but after Shane convinces her it would be best, Wendy decides to make the trip. Nico, unaware that Wendy plans to attend the Scotland trip, invites Kirby (Robert Buckley). It has the makings for a very interesting trip. Meanwhile, Victory (Lindsay Price) is enjoying her newfound investor and thoroughly enjoying the man’s willingness to fund all of her ideas. She grows a bit suspicious and tries to get to the bottom of it all, only to find a very unsuspecting surprise. Andrew McCarthy also stars.

Nico and Wendy certainly went at it...Nico cheap shotted Wendys marriage with her obvious jealous attack on Wendys happiness, and Wendy gave it right back to her...sparks fly...Hey do ya think the writers will ruin Wendys good thing with her husband...remember Candace is a man basher and NBC may need ratings....

Not enough Kirby in this one ... hope that improves next week.

Where can I find the silver grey coat that Victory wore and the grey, fur trimmed dress Nico wore on the jet?

Thanks!

I have a feeling that Kirby probably won't be around much longer. They signed off as "just friends" last night. Nico's been jumpy because of a guilty conscience, cheating on her husband.....honestly, I do hope her and her husband can get with it to save their marriage. Kirby's HOT and everything....no doubt about that! I just hope Kirby and Nico learn a life lesson with all that's happened.

I thought last night's episode contained a lot of details. I thought it was great as usual. The Wendy and Nico fight was right on for those characters. I will say though that best friends usually see affairs coming long before they actually do. I see both point of views and wonder how the writers are going to play this out. On to Victory Ford I knew Joe was behind the mystery investor last week. She wants to be on top again, but not because of the man she is dating.

Brooke Shields looked great in this episode. Her skin was flawless, and she looked so put together. I noticed so many more accessories on the actresses in this episode, especially the big rings. Are these in style now and I'm just picking it up?

I thought last night's episode was really good with lots of detail and drama. Obviously Wendy and Nico will make up...it looks like it will be when Nico's dh has a hospital stay. Because when you really need your friends (even when you are mad at them)~they show and are there. I just hope Wendy's character can maintain her marriage w/out going outside her vows. I really want her and her dh's marriage to work and to be able to show powerful people (at work) can work through their difficulties and stay faithful. I think that would be great to portray to the watchers.

I knew Joe was behind the scenes for Victory's investor and it was predictable. I think may be they should lose Joe.

I don't think Kirby is out of the picture.

I certainly hope Kirby is not out of the picture!

I'm a bit curious as to why they ended last night's episode as they did, putting so much emphasis on Kirby and Nico being "friends".... Do you think that's Kirby's way of starting to pull out of the romantic relationship, or is he just trying to create a bigger, more secure place for himself in Nico's life?
Honey75
I read on IMDB that Kirby is only in for 7 episodes....

As much as I would like to see Nico happy with Kirby, I think it is always better to make things better in the married relationship first. If it is true that Charles is going to have a heart attack we know Nico is going to feel bad for a while, but how long will that last since we know that she was feeling neglected physically.

Did I miss something, why is everyone questioning Wendy's faithfullness to her husband??

I say good for Victory in this last episode to push Joe asside, she built the company herself so why would she want him trying to give her everything. I understand part of where he was coming from but come on, there are some things you have to do on your own. I hope Victory pushes for the 3's a croud cause I just don't picture her as a 3's company type in this next episode.

The scene between brooke shields and kim raver disagreement reminds me of the dep't store scene in the movie BEACHES with bette middler and barbara hershey. they both handled the differences and conversation so well. i would say great line and great acting! simple yet powerful. friends do really have something to say to each other. bad or good. i do say things to my best friends that i know it could be way out of line. so are they. but that's what friends are. just like any relationship. we don't agree to everything. but learning to accept the differences between you and someone makes the friendship more challenging and stronger. to most cases situation...yes. who ever does the script and the story telling of this show are great. it feels so real and yet you wanted to be a part of their friendship. their friendships are so defined as real friendships. love the show. can't wait for more....wondering if they will released the first 7 episodes on dvd right away...so we can watch it over and over again before the fall season premiere.lol.

Good points. Most of the women I know in this type of situation are better at understanding each others pojnt of view and working through these types of issues. . Nico (Who I don't trust as a character) and Wendy have a far to developed friendship to spoil it over someone like Kirby. As far as Kirby goes it is time to lose him and have Nico move on. Nice for the eyes for the women, but useless as a story line. . Wendy ... I wonder why so many are questioning her vows as well. nicos cheap shot at her marriage was just that a cheap shot. I see her marriage strong, but like all goos shows someything has to come in and tip the boat, so maybe there will be some future rift, or maybe he'll stray ... who knows.

Victory. Lose ... Lose ... this guy Joe. Apparently a threesome is in the works for her, so maybe she will get the message between her heart, not really being with the 'billionaire' )God that is so stereotypical) and her desire to make it on her own, which she is capable of. Wendy does tend to keep things from her husband though. I would like to see her open up more and trust him with more.

I would like to see Kirby go 1-because his character is shallow and only eye candy. / 2-if you think about it. The write can only have Nico and kirby keeping their relationship secret for so long. How many weeks can they stuff him and hide him away in an apartment. I mean if I was a 25 years old and having an affair with a married 38 year old (Or how ever old she is) then the last place I would want to be was relagated to a afternoon affair in my apartment. That gets dry very quick.

I mean the guy is eye candy for you women, but think about it his character is very shallow. An idiot as well for sticking around and dealing with being the 'closet' trist. The kept man. He may have the beginning of feelings for her, but those won't last. The guy is open, has an easy manner, and appeals to women. You think Nico will be able to deal with that when younger women start to throw themselves on him. Nico won't be able to compete.

I see Nico having some other marital affairs once she stabilizes her situation with her husband. Kirby may be the first in a line of men teh writers bring into her world. I can't see her as the devoted wife type because of the taste she got of the wild life. ANd I actually feel for her character. She is lonely, wracked with guilt over her affair, and quite possibly facing the reality of her husbands cheating as well.

it is a scary thought to get married to a lot of people and i can understand why. NICO and WENDY has two sides in the issue...and both did hurt each other by uncosciously saying remarks to one another. well acted! the're like sisters making clear points in a civilized way. I can see the pain of nico... the contrition feeling. she knows her guilt is so much more to handle for her and yet wendy has stronger point on her conviction about marriage. somehow she knows women can be entice to have affairs. there must be more reasons why wendy can't seem to agree with nico and kirby. yes she might be protecting nico and yet in some point nico did manage to say something that wendy is not having it. that could be true as we all have some wanting more than what we already have in relationship.

as for victory. thiswoman has more wanting in life than her two friends. working on her own business is not simple. i can see that she wants to do things on her own but JOE BENNET comes along and ofcourse...she is just an ordinary woman who wants to be treated nice. yes she hates the give giving... but she is in love with JOE. and when JOE did try to help...she felt betrayed. that she has done things to make her business grows then a surprise help from someone you love...unexpectedly...it felt like JOE have gone way too far getting involve with her business. they are not married...like "what is his is hers and what is hers is his"
relationship has boundaries...she tries to understand his business ...her business is her dream. you just don't go to someones dreams and make it better. atleast make it slow i would suggest.lol. that would hurt victory's fragile feeling. idid see why she was so hurt and dissappointed. it's more dissappointed to herslef that someone would just lift her up in the sky just like that. not everyone likes to be lifted and get lucky and boom...everything is back in order. some people like to work hard to get where they wanted. and victory is the same in that category.

GREAT SHOW! it does have meanings to so many women!

I loved this episode, the more I watch this show, the more I love it! I think what happened with Wendy and Nico is what maybe showed Kirby, that if they were to stay together, That it would be difficult for Nico. There is kind of, to me at least, if you love someone, let them go...If they come back it was meant to be...if they don't they were not yours to begin with. I think he realizes how much Nico will be giving up and he doesn't want to see her hurting.

Next episode Season Finale!!....NO!!!! I can't wait till next fall!! sad01.gif I think we should all write NBC and make sure they bring this show back!!...lol

Is the reason that Kirby is only in for 7 episodes because that is how long season 1 is? Once the actors know the ratings, maybe the contracts will be extended. Just a possibility...
