Nico's husband I think his name is Charles right... Anyways,,, he has been acting pretty strange. First with the way he was looking at that younge blonde student of his. Second when that same student called his home and left a message on the machine... he hurried up and cut it off. That is suspicious. Seems to me that Nico and her husband are both having affairs.

Oh he's def having an affair with his student. Remeber Nico was student of his at one time~he could have been married at the time when he was dating her. He's not interested in having relations with her...he'd def with someone else.

I don't think she was less attentive...I think she felt like he wasn't available to her and she felt desirable by Kirby and went for it.

If Nico broke up a marriage when she met him then she knew what she was doing and is a home wrecker just like Kirby is.

But 'If' he is (and we have no definite proof only suspecions) that he is with the younger more attractive student. It would serve both of them right.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...Nico is an adultress and is using ole' kirby (who should dump her by now) when he finds out she only wants him as her toy you'll see the true side of Kirby.

This episode you get to see the real side of Nico. The do anything to get anything type of woman reminiscent of the board room predator most women like to accuse men of. Actually Nico's husband and Nico have not discusssed their marital problems so if he is having an affair with a young pretty wide eyed and full lipped student..hell go for it...your wife is flying to Scotland to mess with her hidden assets.

And what if he is not cheating on Nico. This board was created only to justify Nicos affair and give it credence.

Yeah he totally is and what a butthead. He's got someone great like Nico and can't seem to get what he needs from her. She may have just started cheating but I'm sure he's been cheating since day one. Kirby is way cuter anyway. Drop the old man I say.

I honestly created this thread to see what everybody elses thoughts was. I don't excuse Nico's behaviour one bit.

You know, after reading every ones comments on this matter. I still stick with how I feel about this. Yes, it is not right for Nico to be cheating. You get married for a reason. I also think her husband, Chrarles is cheating on her and has been cheating on her (with that student). Lets not forget the time the student just happen to show up at the same place as where Nico and her husband were meeting for lunch before she was suppose to sign those papers. She was all about ending it with her hot side item just to save her marriage (even though there was no passion and even though he left her sitting there after being there,what 2 min, to leave with that same student. Come on now, he barely touches her. He kisses her on the forehead like she is his daughter...although her age kinda says she could be, and she was half naked in the bathroom with Kirby's number written all up her leg and didn't even notice a thing. So tell me, would you be happy like that. She should have brought it to his attention (my personal feeling) but heck, he barely gives her the time of day...so when could she have.

She's in a gilded cage, she keeps herself looking gorgeous, she's attentive to him and in return is ignored. Sometimes men are real attentive to a beautiful woman to get them off the Market, but once they have them they ignore them, all the while not tending to her needs anymore just because he "Has" her. I think this is a very real situation being depicted and her husband is definitely cheating on her. Why else would you explain him not even being attracted to her? Because he's getting the attention of a younger girl.

Or he's having performance problems.

Remember .... one-she is his student and therefore as a teacher in NY city one tends to run into students in 'public' places. two-Nico is not talking about her marital problems with him anyway. When asked by Wendy in the 1st or 2nd episode she said no, so even if she is unhappy by not talking to her husband then she is 50% responsible for bringing this on. I think the reality of the situation is the lack both parties have relating to the missing communication. 'If' he is cheating (Now its all speculative) then there is something lacking in thie marriage and they deserve each other. Two people playing the game of adultery ... I know of a few people (Men and women) who 'get their partners of the market' but they have a 17yr marriage and they have pit falls, up and down. But I think Charles and Nicos issue is different. They have a 17yr marriage and he may be thinking the same thing that she is.

Joe and Victory are more of an example of taking someone 'of the market' that relationship is a joke, but Nico is in a different situaion. She was going to leve Kirby when she saw her husband in the cafe upto the point when she got the message on her home phone. If this guy is so obvious in his affairs, by faking s stomach problem at a party then leaving in a rush to go mess with his mistress, he's either a complete fool, or he has a serious illness. Next weeks has Charles going into the hospital ... Maybe he really was sick ... or like I stated maybe he is cheating ... Then like all good things that come to an end ... They deserve each other ...

And I am not condoning his extra marital affair either ... Just wanted a reaction ...

I was kinda thinking the same thing about the performance. He may not be able to perform for Nico and the student thing could be all innocent, although, it did look like something could be going on.

Nico didn't go looking for the affair. It happened when she met Kirby and sparks started to fly at the Bonfire web launch. Something's missing in her marriage. Charles isn't interested in her physically regardless if he's having an affair or not. The steamy kiss Kirby planted on her triggered what she's been missing and she acted on it.

How the writer's handle the storylines from here will be interesting. If they want the show to be a hit they better keep Kirby around. After 17 years of marriage she does love Charles and won’t bail after his heart attack. She’ll do the right thing and get the relationship back on track.

Ethical or not, Kirby’s irresistible and she won’t be able to keep her hands off of him. Especially since she won’t be getting any from Charles now that he’s had a heart attack. The writer’s better figure out how to keep the sexual tension between them going or the show will get cancelled.

i think charles has a health problem and would not want nico to expect more from him. you know it's like the movie of ali macgraw "LOVE STORY" hehehehe...not that he is having any affairs to anyone. but i do think it's more love...setting her free slowly because of guilt and sadness. correct me i f i am wrong after tonight. this is one thing i thought first when i noticed when he was being aloof towards Nico's needs. secondly he could be bisexual then i would think he is with another woman. that was the third thoughts. lol. but health problem fro sure is the reason not a extra marital affair.

i havent seen 2nites episode but i do believe he is having an affair but w/ a male student or another man. since her friends think so much of him no one will see it coming. 2 episodes ago he was on a trip which i think was more than just school business. i think its going to be a hell of a story if it goes that way. now im going to watch 2nites show an see what happens!

that was one of my few comments above...she could be a child of his (megan)...or somewhat needed a caring person more like a father figure.

I remember something was said about Niko being one of his students when he was married before. I think it was either the last eppy or the one before that. All the girls were talking if I remember correctly. I remember when it was said I thought "he has done this before".......

When I was married to my ex, he was a professional student and he constantly had other students calling him asking him questions and wanting to "study"........ hahahah yea right. I now know that the studying was usually under the covers. I'm glad he is someone else's problem now.....

Finally, somebody said something that makes total sense. A lot of you are quick to judge Nico w/o even considering what her circumstance are. It just seems to me, according to many's point of view, that it is okay for a guy to cheat, but not for a woman. Once a woman does cheat, then she's a ****-good-for-nothing adultress. But when a guy does, then it is funny how we tend to give this guy excuses like, oh well, a younger woman will do, the wife doesn't pay enough attention, blah blah.

I dont think its ok for men or woman to cheat. Its both wrong on both ends. Yes Nico was wrong for cheating but I can understand why she did what she did. Nico was lonely and her husband wasnt paying any attention to her. She had another mans number writen on her upper thigh and Charles didnt even notice. This is by far not an excuse. There are better ways to handle things then to cheat. You have marriage counceling and talking over the problems and finally divorce. None the less, I can still understand why Nico did what she did.

Well... we now know that he was having an affair and about to be a father..... and he really made Nico feel really bad......... Although he was a very small man for the way he did Nico, I really, really, really, really hate that they wrote him off so soon. Their little banter added some "spice" to the show and his suspicious ways added more excitement to the show. I really hate that he has been written off so soon.

Wonder what is Nico going to do now? I DO NOT think she should go back to Kirby. He is too young and immature for her. She needs a classy CEO or business man. I hope they find someone very nice for her, for all that she has been through.

He (Charles) was acting very strange.... it was as though Nico didn't even exist... Although he didn't treat her right, I am sad that they wrote him off so soon... their drama did make the show very intersting and kept us talking "to" the t.v. (LOL).

What made me very angry was the fact that he made Nico feel guilty for sleeping around with Kirby, when in fact he was commiting the same act with his student AND he got her pregnant... that was very small of him to put Nico on a guilt trip and he was doing worse things....

I hope they don't have Nico sleeping around with a string of differnet men... we see enough of that on t.v... I hope they put her in a "loving and healthy" relationship with a little drama (LOL)... and she DOES NOT need to go back to Kirby.... He just want to "play around" with her and NOT get serious with her and then later on move on to someone else....

Kirby, however, can be her "boy toy" JUST until the find her a suitable mate....

Oh, I think it's his baby. What I'm wondering, is if he has a new will, and if so, did he leave everything to the girlfriend and new baby?

It's totally his and I think it proves that he was cheating well before Nico did. How else would the student be so far along in her pregnancy by the time he died? I think it was rather nice of Nico to do what she did for the girl, in spite of how Charles treated her (Nico) while he was cheating on her. He was going to take her money by proving she was cheating on him. What a louse.
