Okay I know you guys read a ton of these (I am guesing) but I have some questions...

1. My audition time slot is 12-3 I was thinking that I should go to the audition earlier than 12pm because of the lines. What time should I get there?

2. What should I bring? I know not to bring cameras and coolers. I guess i'll bring all of the forms in a folder along w/ my id card and birth certificate. Anything else like food or whatever?

3. How many rooms are there? Like what rooms do you have to wait in? How long do you have to wait?

4. On my e-mail it said that the callback (Las vegas) would be 3-4 days after the audition. But you guys said it takes weeks! I don't know what to believe.

5. Like a lot of people, i'm a singer (it's my only talent, well only talent I can present on that show anyway...) so should I start singing the chorus right away? Or sing the song and then get to the chorus??????????

for what its worth

1. the time slot is just so that everyone doesn't get there at the same time. If it were me, i would get there as early as I could.
2.I took a big book bag with paperwork, ID, water bottles, cough drops, makeup, and my high heels ( I stood in line in comfy shoes)
3.Once inside, you will go threw security and then to a big holding room. Then, you go to the singers holding room (they split you up into catergories). I waited les than an hour after comming inside. But evey city will be different.
4. I am assuming you are goin to the NY auditon. THe 2-3 days later is the callback show in NY. Not Vegas.
5. Pick your best 30 seconds of the song to start with then go from there.

Vegas is what we all want, but they won't call for that until after the taped show in NY on April 9-11. Or at least that's what I am banking on. Back pack is a great idea. Hey, remember to have fun, above all else.

I know that has been said over and over again. I am not saying that it is true or isn't true. What I am trying to impress on you is this. If you go into an audition with the idea that you aren't going to get a callback, then you are already defeated before you even get there. Worse than that, you defeated yourself. Stop doing that to yourself. Please, for your own sake, Believe. Just believe. If you truly want a singing career, you can't put all your hopes and dreams in this one audition. You have to work, and work at it. It isn't your last chance IF you really want a singing career. You just have to decide what it is that you truly want and go for it in life. Look for the open doors and become your own biggest fan. Whatever you can dream, you can achieve. That's the truth. You can do it.

BUT REALLY, THANKS GUYS!!!!!!!!!! :'( LOL

Make sure whatever you do, you perform TO the judge in the audition, and everyone else in the room, even the camera people. Move, don't be too still. Pick the best vocal parts of the song, for instance, you know the second verse is usually a little more powerful and allows more improvision, as well as the second time through the chorus. So sing the chorus as you would on the second time through and really belt it. Whatever you can do the song to MAKE IT YOUR OWN and let your vocals shine and nail it girl!!!! Most of all, don't try to sing like anyone else. It's your song, and it's your audition. So take it!!!! And above all.........have fun and believe in yourself. Don't be too nervous.....these judges hafta put their pants on just like you, one leg at a time. Good luck to you, and God Bless. Just a couple of suggestions.

I just wanted to thank the people on here who gave me really great advice. Thank you so much. You made me realize that there's nothing to lose if you just ask. A 'no' isn't the biggest thing in the world (although I would be crushed if I couldn't audition...but not the biggest thing in the world.)
