I regularly watch Medium, but lately, I've taken to watching the re-runs as well. I just wanted to say thank you for the episode (I'm not sure of the name of it) where DA Devalos discovers he's diabetic.

I watched this on Sunday night and then when I went to work on Monday, I happened to speak with a co-worker on the phone who was having a similar problem. I was able to tell him to get his sugar tested ASAP and why. Needless to say, he's in ICU as I type this. His vision is returning and he is being taught what he needs to do now.

Like Manny, my co-worker didn't "do" doctors and either didn't recognize or was ignoring the other signs. He mentioned what I told him to his wife and it scared her enough to get him into a doctor and get his bloodwork done right away.

It was definitely fortuitous that this episode aired when it did. It may have saved his life, but more than likely saved his sight because he didn't let it go any further than it did. Thanks!
