Absolutely Piers.....had a quick look at Pier's column, assessed how much he has earned during his time as PM and knowing that he has raised huge amounts over and above past tasks....looked at his celebrity lists, Piers to win.

This poll and the one on the main site are two different polls. This one is user generated and I believe only registered posters can vote in it. The one on the main site was put up by NBC and anyone who visits that page can vote.
Oh and I voted for Trace but in the end the real winner is the charities and all the money they received because of this show.

I don't think the poll is accurate. I can't even vote for Piers................... One more thing I need to say, Piers Morgan for sure will win it all. He has confidence, smart, and a business person. Can't wait to watch the show. I am not British and I'm not an American, I don't know why, I just like Piers from the beginning.

Have to agree the polls are not a reflection or even influence what actually happened - Have to agree on Piers being the winner too....

As far as I'm concerned, Trace has already won. This season, the show is about doing good for others, not yourself. Piers is a nice man I'm sure but he has been a jerk since day one. He seems to forget that he's not being offered a job; he's supposed to be playing for his charity.
Trace is a class act and I hope Mr. Trump recognizes that tonight. You don't have to get down in the mud to succeed; do your best, be true to yourself and stay focused on why you're there. Trace has aced it.

I'm sure that there are many on here who share your opinion of who has won, but the show's not over.
Both charities are "for others" and both Piers and Trace have a personal connection to the one they chose. The fact that Piers has worked as hard as he has on every challenge, whether it was to benefit his charity or one of his teammates', indicates that he's committed to the goal of the show - to raise money for deserving charities.
I respect your right to cheer for Trace, and I think he's done some fine things over the course of this show. I'd be the first to congratulate him if he wins.
Win or lose, his charity will finally get some well-deserved funding tonight and, for me,
that's what it's all about.

I think Donald made a mistake by making it a good vs evil thing though. I think Trace has done an amazing job so far and deserves to win. But I don't know if DT is looking for the same thing I was. If his idea of "Celebrity Apprentice" is ruthless take no prisioners kind of thing, then he may pick Piers. If he's looking for someone with who can work well on a team, has class, and has acted professionally no matter what chaos was going on around him, then Trace is his man. But if he chooses Piers IMO people are probably not going to like that, because everyone wants good to prevail over evil. Mostly anyway. Now Trump may want that drama, I don't know. I've never watched the show before so I really have no idea what he'll do. For me, I agree with Geauxtracego. Trace is already the winner.

I agree!
Trace has done an amazing job of representing himself as a genuinely decent person who cares deeply for his child(ren) - sorry, I don't know how many he has. He's contributed to his team on each task, and he's been a gentleman.
There are certainly going to be people who see Piers as ruthless, and the "bad boy". Even though his charity supports as nobel a cause as any of the others.
I hope that all Trace fans share your sentiment that he's already the winner (given the fact that we know he will win some amount for FAAN tonight). He certainly has nothing to be ashamed of, and much to be proud of.
As you mention, nobody really knows
how the winner will be chosen. We know that the criteria includes the amount raised - that's quantifiable and objective. The other two criteria are more subjective and completely open to Trump's "judgement".
It should be interesting!

I like both contestants but Trace is a cool dude and he is doing this for a good reason that he has had first hand personal experince with and Pierce whose fierce is also a really good competetor but he is arrogant.Sometimes that is good in life but sometimes it can have some bad effects.Truthfully,if this was more about being Trumps real assistant then I would choose Pierce but for charity I go with Trace.Julie

I don't know about anybody else but I think the way Piers did it with Simon was not fair. You should have to be at the auction to bid. I think it was a very shallow move.
piers4pres
Mar 27 2008, 09:01 PM
If you have ever been to an auction you will know that telephone and interenet bids are completely above board and acceptable - they negotiated the tasks and Trace got the one he and his fans wanted...... whats next to cry about?

I voted for Trace simply because unlike Pierce he did not burn any bridges. Pierce while he did earn more money alot of people will not work with him again because of the way he treats people. If Trace wants to put together another charity he will get alot more people to come out then Pierce would because Trace treats people with respect.

I find it amazing that people fell for the USA v UK thing - the beneficieries for Piers charity are AMERICAN troops -
Piers "mistake" for want of a better word - was not dancing around people's sensitivities, and having a sense of humour and being blunt!
He did an amazing job and deserved the celeb apprentice. I see he pointed out to Trump the same thing I said in my post....Trump isn't well liked either.
Superficial politeness isn't what makes a person "good" in my opinion. I think being real counts for alot too!
This decision shows why Trump is so successful.

Don't feel too bad...
He got to sing his new hit song in front of millions of people!
His charity got a big sum of money...
His charity was the highest rated and now has even been given a greater spotlight in the public eye (if that is possible) and his charity has been been given even greater importance...that is really something!!!
He has become even more popular with his fans...
so I think it was a win-win all the way around!

Mar 27 2008, 10:08 PM
The difference between the two of them was ultimately that, while Barry Whitebread (Trace) just talked about his charity and asked Trump nicely for the win, Piers dug in deep and proved how much his charity meant to him.
Actions spoke louder than words for once. I was really worried that Trump had set this up for the quintessential cowboy to win, but Piers surpassed Trace several times over. Any credibility Trump has left would have died tonight if he'd given the win to Trace. Let all the petty country fans threaten to never watch him again -- it doesn't change the fact that Piers worked his English arse off several times over to win this.
