People that registered online a LONG time ago got a letter in the mail that had one date on it and if you registered later online, you got an email with another date. My friend did that and got a letter in the mail and an email and when they called to confirm her time, they said she could go at either time. She said that they never even asked to see her email or letter when she registered at the audition and that it was first-come, first-serve. She had to wait in the line and the people with AGT said that the email or letter didn't mean anything, it was just to try and spread the auditioners out so they weren't all there on the same day. Don't know if it will be the same in the other cities, she auditioned in Nashville. I would just bring both and go to what ever time best meets your schedule. Good Luck!
same here for my Nashville audition. I had like 6 emails for all 3 different time frames and 3 letters with all 3 time frames and got 10 calls. Several of them told me that it is just to spread people out, so go ahead and line up at 5am if you want
