I don't know if the shelby was a good decision. Don't get me wrong it looks good. But in my opinion the new 08 camaro concept would've made a better KITT. What do you think?

i think the car choice was terrible! an evolution of the appearance of the first would have been better similar to the firebird

Problem with that is that the Camaro isn't a 2008; it's a 2010 model.
The only other car that could possibly fit the part at the time was the 'Vette(the Viper already had it's own show, dammit!), and GM was not likely to pick up the tab given they were already attached to Transformers, leaving the Ford Mustang as the only other logical choice.

well gm has lots of cars such as the g8 coupe 308 horses but the main difference is the music the only part that sound like knight rider is the introduction the rest is just noise. drop the love story!!!!! and the excessive CGI it takes the beauty of the show remember the most of the guys that are gonna watch this show are above 30 not the young kids they do not have a clue of what the want DUDE,

Listen if they want to use a Shelby +1 but they jacked it up!!!! I rather see the Shelby name upheld with high honors than to have it look like a POS.....use a camaro, challenger or a HonDUH.....ugly car, writers needs to get back to the drawing table or else fired....jmo

Agreed. Ford just dumped enough money to feature their vehicles in this series. Let's get over the fact that the series is starting to go down hill from here on. But to feature a Ford Mustang aka KITT car in a series were it's being chased around by a Ford Edge and KITT cannot out run them, that's hilarious. Nice writting on that.

I'm not going to lie, I did not watch yesterdays "Premier" episode, since the first episode was a flop, why bother with this new one. Then to hear that the KITT car now transforms in to an F Series, you got to be F'ing kidding me. This has been done before and it's called a movie TRANFSFORMERS. You guys got to be more original than that.

I totally agree. Even though it is a Shelby the Mustang is five years old, a little long in the tooth to be cutting edge. Being a Chevy guy in first place the new Camaro is obviously a better choice. Not to mention I have a nice little concept of my own. You think if we get a big enough petition to fix this that Rick Waggoner, ceo of GM, would listen?

and those cheap effects, sorry but the old knight rider was a lot better even the michael knight (david hasselhoff) was better that says a lot!!!

First of all it's not a shelby! KITT is a Cobra Mustang!!!!!!!! get the name right before you criticise something. I think it was the best choice. The Camaro is a chick car. The mustang has a reputation of being the toughest around just ask John Force. I love the attack mode, and the transforming into F-series , it really widens the possibilities for the show like going off road or through the desert. After all if your going to use a pony car you can't beat an ORIGINAL!!!

Even though I am not a fan of the latest Mustang, I think they changed it just enough to make it a great representation of a current day KITT. I have owned the same year as the former KITT Trans Am (among 4 other TA's) so for me to accept a FORD as the newest KITT says a lot about how great it looks.

While the new Camaro would have made a cool KITT, I figured it wouldn't be used because of the high-profile appearances in Transformers and Transformers 2.
