I'm glad that Goren and Eames aren't gone for good. It was a disappointment when the other pair showed up. Do you know why this happened?

I'm glad that Goren and Eames aren't gone for good. It was a disappointment when the other pair showed up. Do you know why this happened?

This happened because both VDO and Kate Erbe were becoming exhausted by the work schedule. It was either keep them on the show or lose them completely. Noth was brought in with another detective to take on half the shows. I think I would rather be able to see Goren and Eames at least some of the time rather than never again.
Betsyann
Thanks. I was wondering about that. It was just so hard seeing new faces there. BTW, when Noth first came on he had a different partner than he does now. I didn't much like the first one, but I still wonder. OH, in a couple of shows VDO was looking kind of stressed. I wasn't sure if it was because he was or his character were. Erbe didn't show any. It did kind of look like his character was going through alot.
stefanl
It was more VDO than Erbe but they were both getting stressed by the constant work filming according to the interviews they've both given since then. He was working on LOCI, filming his short movie "Five Minutes Mr. Welles" and appearing in "The Break Up". Too much to do in too little time. That was during season four.

Noth's first detective partner was played by Annabella Sciorra. She wanted out of her contract after the first year. No reason was ever given. Maybe network television's grind got to her quickly. No reason was ever given for her character's departure either. His second partner is played by Julianne Nicholson. Her character was written off the show temporarily at the end of last season to accommodate the actress' pregnancy and his latest, played by Alicia Witt was brought on for the first half of this season. The photographs taken at the USA Network Upfronts showed Nicholson and Noth together. No indication how they will write out Witt's character, Nola Falacci, when they bring back Nicholson as Wheeler.

I agree. Fantastic episode. What do you think the rat represents?? Good cop that doesn't like a rat or a bad cop that is working in major case?

I miss the gifted Goren that teaches me so much about subtle human behaviors, that sorts out the needles from the haystacks and that challenges his foes. The wild horse's spirit seems broken and ready to do the master's bidding.

The episode was done well enough, but the stuff that made me love loci all these years wasn't there.

I didn't like the fact that they've made Bobby out to be a "whack job." I wish they'd leave his character alone and let him be a "good guy." I watch the show because I like him---not despise him.

I think they were trying to say Bobby was a rat, for handing over the other police officers and not letting Eames in on his plan. An underlying theme of this episode was co-worker/partner loyalty.
