IN THE CONCLUSION OF THIS DRAMATIC TWO-PART EPISODE, ALLISON AND CYNTHIA'S (ACADEMY AWARD WINNER ANJELICA HUSTON) PURSUIT OF SUZIE KEENER’S KIDNAPPERS COMES TO A SHOCKING END -- In part two of this episode, Allison (Emmy winner Patricia Arquette) and Cynthia Keener's (guest star Anjelica Huston) investigation into the decade-old kidnapping, imprisonment and murder of Cynthia's daughter Suzie (guest star Sarah Drew, "Everwood") comes to a shocking, brutal conclusion. Meanwhile, Bridgette (Maria Lark) predicts good fortune for Joe (Jake Weber), who’s looking into funding for his new invention.

Terrible ending

I did not like the ending to tonight's episode and throughout the whole episode I was trying my best not to scream at the TV about how stupid I thought they were. It seems obvious to me that in last weeks episode the girl, Melanie I believe, had been gone for a week when they found her. I also seem to remember that Joanna's mom had said she had talked to her daughter on the phone at least the day before Allison and Cynthia saw her which was well after Melanie went missing. It was obvious to me that if in the past Joanna was there when they kidnapped Susie that she would have already been there when Melanie was taken and if you put two and two together the stories wouldn't have added up. Melanie would say she was taken and Joanna was already there and Joanna probably told her the same bull she told Susie. Joanna's mom would say she had spoken to her daughter at least once during her pretend abduction and the stories wouldn't match so who is lying terrified Melanie, Joanna's mom, or Joanna who obviously can't be at the mercy of a kidnapper and still chit chat with her mom. I found it painful to watch supposedly smart women go on about how they couldn't get justice and then have Cynthia kill Joanna when they could have put more thought into unraveling Joanna's lies.

I think for that speech Cynthia gave at the end it was worth it.

I caught on to the fact that the sequence of events were a little out of whack. But, it really wasn't that big of a deal. It was a fantastic episode and the ending moved me tremendously. I was crying so that my boyfriend told me to get a grip.

Well, I for one was suprised that Cynthia didn't go back into the yarn shop and blow Joanna's head off right then and there. I was waiting for it.

I also noted the fact that her mother said she had talked to her, so maybe that's another dream for Allison. Arizona has the death penalty, and I'm sure that jerk of a D.A. will seek it. Maybe Manny could defend her?

sorry but I must disagree, the reason johanna's mom was able to speak to johanna was because, johanna was able to have the guy she was hooked up with to take her upstairs as a show, and then she would check her messages and that makes since of how johanna's mom was able to speak to her, I figured out way before they showed johanna killing susie, it was obvious....as she was still alive and alison has dreams for a reason, and I was very suprised at the ending, but honestly I agree with others, I wouldn't have waited to get johanna alone, it was plain as day that she was guilty once they showed johanna the picture of the conelly guy...and she made the comment that without a confession, their was nothing they could do, the smugness showed her guilt, and her quench for killing, is what her down fall was, if allison didn't have the dreams, melanie would've died & johanna would've continued to kill....I am so glad that angelica's character killed johanna, pay back is a b____ and johanna got what she deserved and angelica's character got justice, after 9 yrs of wondering, hoping and worry'ng she finally found out what happened, how & whom, and I for one think that they should aquit angelica's character as anyone with that much despair would've done the same.....this was/is my take of the double episodes....

anyone else feel sad

did anyone else feel sad when she asked allison to stay with her until the police came, that was so sad.....that broke my heart...angelica houston, did an awesome job as her character and I just wished that her character could've some way been introduced as a regular character, allison finally had a sort of side kick....these 2 episodes were very disturbing and very entertaining, medium shows what really exist in our world, as theirs alot of psycho's out there...going to miss angelica's character.....sad01.gifsad01.gifsad01.gifsad01.gif

Chrisnva - I gotta agree with your thoughts on the show. You seem to have summed it up quite well. However, as far as the aquital of Cynthia I don't agree. Oh, I agree Johanna needed killing and some say that is justification for murder. I would have probably done the same thing in Cynthia's position. When you have a child taken from you like that and you can't help but imagine her last few hours on earth were pure hell it would have to make your grief even worse. That with the fact that there didn't seem to be any way Johanna was going to pay for her crimes would make any parent want to kill her for justice or revenge. But you do something like that for what ever reason or justification and you must be willing to pay for the crime. Maybe not with the death penalty but you should not get aquitted for murder. Circumstanses should only be considered when choosing the death penalty or life in prison. That Yates bi--h that murdered her 5 children needed killing but she sits in a mental home scott free for her crimes. Johanna should have gotten the death penalty had she been caught but since she couldn't be caught, Cynthia gave it to her anyway. Still, you want to take the law into your own hands then you gotta be willing to pay for it. I would have done the same thing but would have figured that when I did, I would spend the rest of my days behind bars or at least most of my life. JMO

I thought it was great. Gave me chills. I really didn't see it coming, and I couldn't get it out of my mind. I think to often people are unhappy if they don't get a happy ever ending, but that was never going to happen in this situation as Susie had been dead for years. And for things to end happy ever after all the time(or for justice to be served) is just not reality. I thought the writing was excellant.

johanna got what she deserved and angelica's character got justice,

I don't think Houston's character will get justice, because she'll go to jail for what she did, as it would be considered pre-meditation. It was a terribly sad ending for such a tragic situation. Houston's character was desparate, but in the eyes of the law she will be hit hard, because no one, absolutely no one will believe her story. What will she say? I killed her because Allison had dreams and that's how you found the bones. If you had not seen the story - would you believe her? No unfortunately, the prosecuter will not go easy and I think she's doomed. How terribly, terribly sad. Houston was outstanding in this role.
