Plot Summary: "The Rocker" tells the story of a failed, over-the-hill drummer who gets a second chance at fame. Robert "Fish" Fishman is the extremely dedicated and astoundingly passionate (not to mention sweaty) drummer for the eighties hair band Vesuvius who is living the rock 'n' roll dream until he is unceremoniously kicked out of the group. Unfortunately for Fish, this h appens right before Vesuvius becomes one of the biggest bands in the world. Fish is then forced to get a 'real' job and abandon his dream until an unlikely opportunity arises. Twenty years after getting booted out of the band he helped create, just when Fish has finally given up hope, all of his wildest fantasies come true.

The funny thing is: Rainn’s rep say that it’s an original picture of Wilson as a kid that has only been slightly doctored - the background, the glasses - but otherwise it’s all him.

Rainn Wilson was in character as The Rocker last night for the premiere of his new movie in Las Vegas.
While Dwight Schrute is hard at work being a rock star, The Office producers have been busying working on that spinoff show. Variety suggest they should hire Aziz Ansari, who was on MTV’s comedy sketch show Human Giant and played a racist fruit stand vendor in Flight of the Conchords. No word on a title or main character for the spinoff set to air in winter.
Meanwhile, several new writers have been hired for The Office and Rashida Jones may return.

The release date has been moved to August 20th.
