I've lost 12 since the New Year. Not great, but better than gaining, especially with the various health issues I deal with. gracecarriveau, what are you doing, girlfriend? I need to get on your bandwagon!
Actually, I got a little push when my doctor decided that I have adhd last fall. At 36 yrs. old.

So he prescribed adderall which is an amphetemine. That alone will make you lose some weight. But also, my back is starting to get so bad, that whenever I eat more than just a little bit, it feels like my stomach bloats up and pushes back on my spine. Which is really painful. I don't know if that makes sense, but it has stopped me from gorging on hamburgers, donuts, etc... The mexi melt I had yesterday, was a little, like $1.?? something food. So that wasn't bad. I used to eat like 3 or 4 big things from Taco Bell.
I also realized that if I didn't change some of my eating habits, any weight I did lose would just come back. So I just started doing things like, cutting out cream and sugar in the coffee, using 1/2 a slice of cheese or 1/2 tsp. of butter instead of a full tsp. Or I'll still buy 2 donuts a month, but now I can't even eat the whole donut. I just don't want to deprive myself of my favorite foods. So I figured if I was careful about eating it, and balanced it with good food, it wouldn't be so bad. I'll gladly hang on to the last 10 lbs. if it means I can still eat a donut a few times a month. It gets hard to exercise sometimes though. So my legs are still kinda chubby.
I think though, that when people get discouraged about not losing as much as they want to or not losing any lbs. in one week, they should just look at the positive and realize that they didn't gain any either.
p.s. I agree with your reply about doing a poll after the show. We can wait!
