Jen:And actually, for the first time ever, we’re going to see what happens over the summer.
You know how we usually jump forward in terms of the documentary and we skip a gap? We’re going to see the summer. Every act is a different week. So the first episode will be eight weeks long. It’s week 1 of the summer, week 2 of the summer, week 3, week 4, week 5, week 6, week 7, week 8.

And it’s weight loss. It’s a group weight loss competition. They’re competing against other branches in a weight loss challenge. And we’re going to check in with them. So instead of our traditional …
tanster: What?! Wait, wait, are you tell me a storyline?
Jen (laughing): Yeah. It’s going to be super fun. And very office-relatable. A lot of offices go through weight loss challenges.

Jen (to Mike): I was just telling tanster about Summer and the fact that it’s going to be an 8-week episode, and that it’s about weight loss.

Mike: Oooh. Look at you spoiler spoilery spoiling.

tanster: Is this episode called “Weight Loss”?

Jen: It’s between being called “Weight Loss” and “Summer.” My guess is it’s going to be called “Weight Loss.” Because later, when you think back, what was that episode, if we name it ‘Summer,’ it won’t make as much sense.

tanster: Are there six acts?

Mike: Eight if you include the cold open and the tag.

Jen: And right now, the tag is more of a traditional tag, so most of the focus is on the first seven weeks. And the cold open is a regular-sized one.

tanster: Is it going to be apparent to the audience that it’s a week per act?

Jen: Yes.

Have you heard anything Office-related lately? I'm dying for Dunder-Mifflin gossip, especially romance story type stuff -Krissy
What I'm hearing is that the season premiere will feature two love triangles: Dwight-Angela-Andy and Jan-Michael-Holly (Amy Ryan, the new HR lady). My money's on Dwight winning Angela's heart, simply because he has several science fiction type powers working in his favor. And I've got to give Jan my vote in the latter face off, only because she kind of scares me.

As for everyone's favorite D-M duo, PB&J -- Pam Beesly and Jim -- word is that we can expect some sort of twist concerning the happy couple. I can't say more -- mostly because I don't know much else -- but I have heard that P is off in the big city, working on her art degree, so maybe distance between the two is a factor? I don't know...

So last season ended with Dwight and Angela, his former flame who is now engaged to Andy, getting frisky in the office while no one was around. What’s going on there, are they back together? What’s the fall out going to be?
Well the situation has been painted. She’s engaged and she’s seeing Dwight on the sly. But I can guarantee you that the poop is going to hit the fan.

Does that mean Dwight and Andy are going to rumble?
Probably, it’s going to be like the Sharks and the Jets.

So besides fighting Andy, what else is in store for Dwight this season?
I’m trying to think about what I can talk about. They really don’t want us to talk about anything. [Pauses] I don’t know man. But I don’t even know what goes on this season; let me put it that way. I have no idea what happens three episodes or 12 episodes from now and I don’t ask. They keep writing me this great stuff and I just show up. So it’s not like I have this great wealth of information like “Oh, Dwight is going to open a florist shop.”

•The Office's Jenna Fischer talked a little about a topic of great interest to Office fans: the relationship between Jim (John Krasinski) and her character, Pam. "Pam goes away to art school, and it tests their relationship. He's very supportive but she's in a three-month program and with her being in New York, even though it's only two hours away, it causes a bit of a strain. And they have to work through the difficulties of being in a long-distance relationship."

As for their future, she offers a minority opinion. "I think I'm the only person in American who's rooting for Jim and Pam maybe not to be together." She then modified her position a bit. "I think it would be OK for them to end up together, but I would really love to see Pam have an interest in her life outside of the relationship she's in. I feel like so much of her life has revolved around (ex-boyfriend) Roy and now Jim, so I would like to see her come into her own a little bit more."

Since Oscar was more interested in the Nokia's air conditioning than in answering my questions about The Office, I turned to the always lovely Kate Flannery, who agreed to spoil me just slightly: "The first episode, which premieres this Thursday, is called "Weight Loss" and we all had to step on the scale when we filmed it. Everyone could see your weight on a giant monitor, it was like, omigod! I have not eaten since, which is actually why I was able to get into this dress. But yes, there's some interesting Meredith stuff coming up. In this first episode, she has a little bit of a natural disaster. The second episode, called "Business Ethics," is really about Meredith's ethical misconduct... so, yeah, oops."

As for Meredith's coworker, the calm, cool -- some may say mentally slow -- Kevin, his portrayer Brian Baumgartner told me there will be some stirring developments in the Kevin-Holly storyline this week. Will Dunder-Mifflin's new HR lady read Kev's file and realize that his brain actually functions at the same mental level as Michael Scott's? Maybe. But Brian said that no matter what happens, Kevin's hopes of banging her will never die. Perhaps he'll serenade Holly. Word is Kev's band Scrantonicity will soon make an encore appearance on the show.

Office! Office! Office! Tell me Jim and Pam are still together, because if they are not, I will stop watching the show. Okay, no I won't, but I might cry. -Stephanie

A Dunder-Mifflin business trip to Winnepeg, Canada may act as a nice distraction for M.S. I'm told he's heading north with Andy and Oscar in tow this Thursday. Word is, we'll be getting some good French Canadian jokes out of the whole deal.

Someone asked him what's going to happen with Ryan and Kelly. B.J. Novak himself said, "Watch the next two episodes very carefully. There'll be a lot to dissect if you're a Ryan and Kelly fan." So there's that.

Office Gossip: This week, EW's Michael Ausiello broke the news of Ryan the receptionist's upcoming leave of absence -- apparently, BJ Novak's got big movie career plans -- but what you haven't heard is that Ryan will throw himself at Kelly Kapoor prior to said departure. And by "prior to," I mean tonight. Mhmmm.
