well, looking at nbc's summer 09 schedule i deduce that there is absolutely no reason for me to tune into that network all summer. i guess it's back to the library for me. biggrin.gif

Friday Nights are not good.
People mostly are out doing something around that time.
Their so trying to get rid of this amazing show, it's sad.
I hope it changes, Wednesdays's were fine with me.

Everyone knows that a Friday timeslot is a death sentence to almost every show that has ever aired on Friday. To put this amazing show on Friday night is unforgivable.
I sincerely hope that if they keep Life in the Friday timeslot, it will be one of the exceptions and have a lot of viewers.

I had a heck of a time getting back onto this board: all my old links didn't work - and I had to be pretty creative.. but here I am smile.gif

Yes, I am also suspicious of the Friday night slot.. If "they" had wanted to do it "right", they would have run all the episodes from season 1 again this summer, as a primer to get people into the show in the fall.
I certainly would have loved the "refresher".

By now, certainly by fall 2008, the momentum is gone, and people who are/were really into LIFE will have forgotten some or a lot of the finer points and possibilities, which is what made the show the "must see" we all waited for each week.

I'm not happy....

Are you kidding me NBC? All the promotion for law&order, 30 rock, and who only knows why Deal. Promote this show, and put it on where people will start watching it. It is fantastically written and the actors are great. Someone please wake-up and realize the Nielson ratings are BS. I have only ever watched this show once at home. The rest of the episodes I watched online. Get more from your online advertising, and promote your good shows.

PS: Thankyou for at least realizing you needed to pick "Life" up for another season.

I am delighted to hear that "LIFE" is returning to network television. This is without a doubt our favorite show. It is funny, engaging and complex. The actors and the writers do a great job!
As for the Friday night time slot, I cannot say that I am happy with that. As others have mentioned before me, this is a terrible time slot for what is one of the very best shows on TV. Maybe the network will re-think this awful placement after reading our comments. I am really thankful to have a DVR - I will never miss a show.

People said the same thing about the Monday timeslot with Journeyman, and the Wednesday timeslot with Life...

Friday is a good timeslot. Lots of competition from other networks (including NBC) on different days/timeslots and they are ALL starting to get the hang of it by not lining up big big shows against other big big shows to get the most win-win out of all timeslots available. Besides, I have 120 hours I can record so I'm not gonna miss anything cool.gif

PS: NBC, you are authorized to sign up everyone for Season 3 wink.gif

I am in Canada, just finished watching the preview show hosted by Zach Levi, almost every show gets a sneak peek, but not Life... After spending 30mins to watch this preview show, it is a disappointment to find that there is not even a tiny bit of Life preview, other than confirming its show time is on every Friday...

I really do not understand why NBC is not given the same attention to Life, like they did to Heroes, Chuck etc., it is a real disappointment... Life has such a great potential to be a great hit, would NBC please promote it, this show deserves it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know if the first season of Life will be shown on TV before the start of season 2 ?. My brother didn't get a chance to watch the first season, and he would like to watch it before season 2 starts I know that season one is available on DVD now but I haven't been able to come up with the money to buy it and the video store said Life isn't popular enough for them to carry it.

And he isn't the type of person who can sit at a computer long enough to watch a show ha. so if anyone knows that'd be helpful thanks

I don't think there will be any repeat airings, but you can try checking your local listings:

I am very disappointed that NBC decided to put this show on Friday night where it will most likely die. Maybe this is why NBC is in such shambles. They don't know how to promote good shows or even recognize the potential of good shows like this one.

I love this show.

That's funny. I came here to see if anyone else noticed this. I was very disappointed that they couldn't throw together a quick promo in half hour show that was specifically created to showcase their lineup. I was happy when I heard that Life was coming back for a second season, but then I read it was being moved to Friday nights. I've heard plenty of times that Friday nights are where shows go to die. Seeing the lack of promotion for Life isn't doing anything to quiet my fears about it being canceled. This was the only new show last year that did anything for me. I liked the premise, the writing and the cast. You have great leads in Damian Lewis and Sarah Shahi. Add Alan Arkin and pretty much half the cast of Deadwood to the mix, and you have one of the stronger ensembles on network television. In terms of a satisfying story, I'm not sure any other new show could have done a better job in a span of only 11 episodes. You had your weekly mystery and the conspiracy that ran throughout the season. A lot of questions were answered in the two-part finale while opening up new ones for the coming season. There were a lot of great character moments and plenty of humor. There is no reason why this show shouldn't be a hit. Sure they're premiering it after Heroes initially, but the fact that it'll be moving back and forth between Monday's and Friday's might throw some people off and may do more harm than good. Being as impatient as I am, getting to see four new episodes in two weeks is great news, but getting rid of the episodes so quickly might make it easy for them to cancel it and move a new show in it's spot. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but I haven't heard anything about Life being picked up for a full second season yet the way I heard Chuck has. If nothing else, I hope the crew gets a heads up about a cancellation so they can do an actual series finale. They've already proven they can do one on short notice.

That would be Adam Arkin, not Alan. I'm apparently so passionate about the show that I can't get names right wink.gif.
