Is there anyway I can change the thing that says my name on the boards to my username ? Because I put my username as SNLcomedy but it just says my full name. Any help?

You should be able to do a one time name change by going into your Account Settings at myNBC. However, SNLcomedy is already taken.

I would really like to change my user name. But, the user name I try to change it to is "already taken" according to the system. When I search for a user by that name, no one comes up. I just want to knock the 1 off of the (hidden) user name that I seem to have been given--when the boards changed over to what they are now, they appended a 1 to the name for some reason. Can you tell me more about this?

I have been a member of the boards for a few years now and all of a sudden I log in today & my username is showing up as my REAL name. I do not want my real name all over the boards... I need this changed ASAP - who can help me with this??????

We're having some technical difficulty with the display names, but we are really close to a fix. I know this is a big deal and we're working feverishly to get it resolved.

In the meantime, try these two things:

1. Completely logging out of the forums, clearing your browser cookies and logging back in.
2. Manually changing your username in your account settings.

If neither of those things works, hold tight! The solution is coming.

I am wondering how my screenname has been changed from Daysfan4evr to daysfan4evr_deleted....have i been deleted? I tried fixing it in my controls and it would not let me, so any help would be appreciated.

Me too. I just sent a mod at FNL board a message. Why has this happened? I would like deleted off from my name, please.

If you still have issues after following those instructions, please post about them again here. The volunteer Moderators around here (such as myself) don't have the ability to change usernames and someone that actually works for NBC Tech Support will have to work with you.
