THE OFFICE
DINNER PARTY
04-10-2008 9:00PM
GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER-Pam (Jenna Fischer) and Jim (John Krasinski) find they have run out of excuses and are forced to go to Jan (Melora Hardin)and Michael's (Golden Globe winner Steve Carell)house for dinner. When Andy (Ed Helms) and Angela
(Angela Kinsey) are also invited to dinner, Dwight's (Rainn Wilson) jealousy gets the best of him. Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Kate Flannery, Oscar Nunez, Phyllis Smith, Paul Lieberstein, Mindy Kaling and Creed Bratton also star.
SourceHeh heh heh. A dinner party at Michael and Jan's? This ought to be
good. (I mean, of course it will be; it's The Office!

)
Following tonight's episode we will open a poll for you to rate Dinner Party. This "Voting Only" poll will open at 9:25 PM Eastern. Enjoy!

Michael has been working on his wine vocabulary: oaky afterbirth.
Also, there's nothing wrong with having a camera set up in your bedroom. If anything, it indicates positive self-esteem.

Michael and Jan tonight- wow

LOL, that was an amazing episode!
The camera in the bedroom, Michael's minibed, the "plasma TV", the vessectomy rant, all the arguments, Dwight showing up with his babysitter! Priceless!
And I think it had the most open-ended ending of any ep so far - it left 4 or 5 things that'll have to be resolved. So well done, too.

Wow! On the one hand, poor Michael. And on the other, good for him for standing up for himself!!
Do you wanna have a f****** kid?
I'm going to have Hunter's love song to Jan in my head all night!! And Jim, oh, Jim, how could you think of abandoning Pam like that? Not cool at all.
No one's mentioned one of the best lines, which I will of course get wrong: "I would rather die than put another one of your beets in my mouth again"

Something to that effect!
hubbabubbaMAX

I have to say, they did a good job of hiding the pregnancy. They are taking full advantage of Angela's height (or lack thereof).
Loved the talking heads in the bathroom.
And Michael "I'm in He!!"

Wow. This epi was so totally WOW! An absolute train wreck. I almost died with Jim's face when he walked into the candle room. Aghhh......way too funny. I think I died of laughter when they were really arguing and Michael got the last word with "that's what she said." He is always spot on!
Oh my.....Jim almost abandoning Pam. WTF?
Angela was great as usual but definitely obvious as to hiding her belly.
And Jan...what a freaking psycho. I loved when she told Pam that she could use her wine to cook with. LOL.
I am so glad my show is back on. I can't believe it's been 5 months!

I hadn't thought about it like that but it really is a lot like that and absurd is certainly one way to describe Michael and Jan. Great reference. Welcome to the boards!
I have to say that upon rewatching it (yes, already rewatched it) my favorite part is Jim's talking head in the bathroom. "Jan and Michael seem to be playing a game of who can make the guests more uncomfortable. And they're both winning." The look on his face when he said that was completely priceless and why I love this show.

Jim kind of looks like an ass in this eposide because he almost leaves Pam by herself at the party and not helping out Michael with the cops and staying at his house, i mean weak did Jim forget about the boise cruise and the end at of surviorman i mean Jim needs to help Michael out once.

In the Healthcare episode of season one Dwight is assigned the task of picking a plan and is granted the conference room as a "workspace" which he keeps trying to pass off as an "office" but Jim won't let him.

And he argues with Michael about what it is too. As soon as Dwight says he has a bigger office than Michael, it becomes a workspace.

It even goes right down to
the imaginary kid though not in the same way or to the same extent.
I don't think Michael and Jan will break up again yet either. I think Jan is too needy right now and Michael is still convinced that this is what he wants (he talked himself back into it and we all know what it took to talk him out of it the first time).

I have to agree, I think that'll they will end back up together. Maybe Jan will become more ... fair? Giving Michael what he wants, acting like a human rather than the little animal she became. All she needed, I think, is to notice that Michael will leave her, and that she doesnt wanna lose him, that she has to treat him nicer.
