It would be nice if a woman won this year, but I don't care. As long has they live healthy lives, that's all that matters.

That is so true......I will not be sad for any of the contestants.....they have all won
Herefishyfishy
uhh, hello, let's not forget Roger! He deserves it, too.

Anyway, I like Kelly but she wasn't really a fierce competitor. She never (to my recollection?) won a challenge on her own and it seems she always came in last BUT she kept on truckin'..I'll give girlfriend that. And for that, I adore her. I adore them all really! I could certainly do with less waterworks out of Mark but still, he's really done wonders, too.

Whoever wins- I'm so proud of them all. I can't wait to see the eliminated players come back next week! *squeal*

With that said, it seems Kelly just kept slipping by and I'm glad that she made it to the final 4, just for her own self esteem and self worth.
thatgirlintexas
I'm just so glad that it's Kelly who is the last member of the black team! How many times has she been up for the vote and survived. I'm also glad that she finally realized that she was a threat and could win this thing.

She still has a lot of weight to lose and I noticed last night that she still has a lot of skin on her upper arms. Which then made me realize that the only time she has a sleeveless top on is at the weight in.

Just my random thoughts on Kelly.

She has a good chance to win. I'm picturing her looking like Alli...

I am praying that Kelly wins and becomes the biggest loser! She is so dedicated to losing weight, it amazes me. The other remaining contestants are just dripping the weight off. To me, Kelly really struggled in the beginning and now look at her! She is amazing. I have rooted for her from day one!!!! I WILL PRAY FOR YOU!! IT WOULD BE AWESOME FOR A WOMAN TO WIN! BUT WHAT WOULD MAKE IT EVEN MORE AMAZING, THAT IT WOULD BE A WOMAN LIKE YOURSELF TO WIN THE COMPETITION! YOU DESERVE IT!! You have been such an inspiration to me!! Thank you and GOOD LUCK!!! biggrin.gif

Kelly's body "type" is compact and dense. Some of the contestants have a flabby type of fat but Kelly's body seems firm and compact. It has been my experience that that type of body has a more difficult time losing weight. Kelly's struggle compared to the others has been hard to watch sometimes. I too struggle with weight but I can lose quickly. My problem is keeping it off. Kelly still has a long road ahead due to her body type. I once had a doctor tell me that some people are genetically designed to resist a famine. She may be in that category. It's a tough contest because everyone is so different. Roger's Type II diabetes makes it hard to lose too. I have Type II and I can gain weight if I eat a grape.
Marsha1971
I have supported Kelly thru all of this, from the very beginning. I truly think she deserves to win this. No she hasn't won any challenges, she hasn't been on top all the time which leads me to think she's had to work twice as hard, push herself twice as much to get to where she is. It hasn't been easy for her but she has NEVER once given up. She is my choice for the winner. Ali is great and I wish they would give 2 prizes away, but she left the ranch, and Kelly didn't she's been there pushing on and hard every week and she's finally showing that her work has paid off. Roger is great too.... I am voting for him to go on to the finals
GO KELLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PaminCO
I am really hoping Kelly will win. There is just something about her, I have felt so much compassion for her. It has been very difficult for her to lose weight, I think she has had to work harder than Ali. Not that it has been easy for Ali, but Kelly has really struggled. And she's not real athletic, which I think makes her more real. I think Kelly is every woman. She is your neighbor, your coworker, your friend. She just seems so real, no pretenses. She has hung in there and some weeks barely made it, but she made it. I think her perseverance is inspiring and I hope she is rewarded for it. I love the way she has just blossomed, becoming more confident, more sure of herself. Kelly is a person I would want to be friends with.
Giganoodle
I think Kelly is awesome. I also don't know why someone can't believe her height and weight. It looks about right. She obviously is not a middle of the road contestant, she hasn't been below the yellow line since Bernie left. As for the challenges, some people are better at those than others. I hope Kelly wins this thing.
Lilo70
There's just something about Kelly that makes me pull for her. In watching, I am holding my breath right along with her every week. She seems so genuine and real I guess. I hope win or lose she continues to live a long and happy life at the weight she desires to be. I will however be crossing my fingers for her in the finale.
Babyontheway0708
Last night when i was watching the weight in, i was SO PROUD OF HER when i saw Kelly 's weight loss 13lbs!! That was so great! she's been my favorite since the black team was made, and even if she hasn't won any challenges doesn't mean that she's the worst, she has lost 93lbs for god sake! 93lbs in 15weeks is AMAZING! I really want her to win this, but even if she doesn't , i'm still VERY PROUD of her! and about the person who mentioned the 30 extra pounds compared to Ali should know that people's body are built differently, some people have heavier bones or more meat, i myself is an example, i always weight more than my friends because i have bigger and heavier bones.
Herefishyfishy
Just an FYI~ I meant NO offense to Kelly when I commented on her never winning a challenge. In a nutshell I was saying she made it through this whole thing without being noticed as a serious threat amongst the higher profiled players and she hung on all the way through. Last week- finishing that triathlon with such a triumphant gusto..awesome. I've cried with/for her many a time for weeks now.

I felt bad for her with that ex-husband hanging around in the beginning, granted they're still friends etc but I felt that was un-needed stress on her. It's been wonderful watching her blossom.

The more I think about the final four- I really, really hope Kelly takes the whole thing! And if not her, Roger.
hopeingod145
I hope Kelli wins. She has been their from the start. I did not like it when they brought back two of the players back. I missed last nights show. I can't wait to see who wins.

Yes, she has lost a lot of weight, but she has a LONG way to go.
Personally, I think Ali or Mark should win. They really deserve it, and they
look AWESOME!
Any thoughts?

it's all about percentages so we shall see smile.gif You also have to realize that Kelly started out over 40 pounds heavier than Ali. I'll be at the finale so I'll let you know if she is really taller then 5'3"...that's how tall I am smile.gif

Do you feel better about yourself now? Does posting nasty comments like this really help your self esteem? I sure hope so. THE CONTESTANTS DO READ THESE BOARDS AND PEOPLE LIKE YOU NEED TO TAKE YOUR HURTFUL COMMENTS ELSEWHERE. Trying going to the BL forum imdb.com boards, you'll find many others like yourself there.

Amanda I totally agree. It is a shame that people can't support everyone. The thing about Kelly is she is she has fought hard. What people DON'T realize is that Kelly was the biggest female on the campus. She came in weighing 271 which was close to 40 lbs more than any other woman. So yeah if she had came in weighing what Ali did then it might be a different situation. I think Kelly has done awesome and I TRULY believe that Kelly will end up being the First Female Biggest Loser. Although I was hoping that I could be the first female biggest loser for Season 6 if they called me but hey I would love for Kelly to win this. You go Kelly keep it up you rock!!!
prettynplump
FYI people! Kelly has less chances of taking this whole thing if Roger is in the top 3. Be careful how you vote.

I am just loving Kelly, someone hit the nail on the head when he/she said that Kelly is every woman. That is so true, not that every woman is her size or that overweight but in her struggles and trials and overcoming her own obstacles. She has blossomed so much its exciting to see. Out of those 4 she would be the most inspiring one for me. I would love to meet her. Her life is changed. I wonder if she realizes that?
BudinOK
For me, Kelly, I hope, is the one who wins it all. Everytime at the weigh-ins, you could just see that she just knew it was going to be her that was going to be voted out. She has been a real trooper through out the series. I can't remember her being involved in "all the nastiness" as Mark put it in his plea to America. To me, Kelly and Roger should be the finalists of the show. Ali, although she has done so well, and is quite the competitor, like Mark is, but when she came back onto the show after being voted off, she refused to be part of the "team", going back to her pink t-shirt instead of the black t-shirt with the rest of her teammates. Kelly, babe, I hope you win it all. I believe you have a real chance at winning it all. Stay tough. I wish them all well, but Kelly, I wish you the best!!!

Amen, sistah!! The person who mentioned the 30 extra pounds also needs to learn some math, there are 43 pounds between them. Kelly looks and is fabulous! She did a tremendous job and she deserves to hold her head up with pride! (Though hopefully she won't get the tattoo! tongue.gif )

As for the challenges, I don't remember any woman winning an individual challenge so it puzzles me why some are picking on Kelly. I don't have the best memory so I could be wrong, but it seems Mark won an awful lot and I remember Dan winning one, but not the girls.

I'd also like to point out that while working out as they do on the show will result in weight loss and improved health, it won't turn everyone into an athlete. There are plenty of fit people who are slow runners. Kelly doesn't strike me as the athletic type, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It doesn't mean she didn't work as hard. If Ali and Kelly had been equally overweight during last night's challenge, I suspect Ali - a former athlete - would still have come in ahead of Kelly. So what?

Anyway, I just wanted to stick up for Kelly. I think she's awesome and it just sickens me that people can be so cruel.

In reference to the OP and the comment about Kelly's height and weight not matching, it seems like she should be thinner given her height and weight. But we have to remember that different people carry weight in different ways. I remember a time when I weighed 135 at 5'8" and there was a girl who weighed 140 at 5'7" in my group. It was so strange to me because I struggled with anorexia for a long time and I saw this girl as stick thin and I looked bigger than her. And to this day, if I see a picture of both of us from that time period, she still looks to be thinner than me and other people would agree, so it isn't just a warped view of myself. It's just true that people carry their weight in completely different ways.
Devisissy
I am convinced they are flat out lying on the heights on this show. Kelly is at best 5,4. At best. No freaking way. Either way I am rooting for Ali. We are all stupid if we don't vote OUT Roger.

I must be quite foolish then. I used all 100 of my votes on Roger. And if I am still in paper procrastination mode tomorrow, I'm sure I will use my other e-mail to do the same thing.

Also, I don't know what the point would be on lying about height. Kelly is easily 5'6". That's how tall I am and I have a very similar body type. But people love conspiracies. Whatev.

I must say that I have enjoyed this season of TBL so much! It is the only show I must see each week. From the beginning, I have wanted Kelly to make it to the finals. I agree with the poster who said she is every woman. How many of us have struggled with our weights, worked out like crazy and watched what we ate only to find we've lost 1 lb? Kelly is just like many women I know. She's never been dishonest on this show, never bashed anyone. She's conducted herself with dignity and for that reason, I hope she ends up being The first female biggest loser! I actually danced around my family room Tuesday night when she beat the guys! Go Kelly!

I am with you Devisissy!
I dont understand why the bashing on Ali and Mark for not being at the ranch the whole time. All the more reason for one of them to win! They had to do it at home with all the temptations, no help with food or trainers. Especially Ali.
Second, the weight loss percentages show 42% Ali, 41% Mark, 40% Roger, and 34% Kelly. I'm not bashing Kelly, she has done well, but not quite as good as the others. She still has a LONG way to go.

I think Kelly looks quite a bit heavier than what they say, but hey, the scale should be the one TOTALLY honest thing on the show shouldn't it? My biggest issue with Kelly is that given that she was the largest lady ever on the show, she could have possibly been the really big winner(well, ok, loser-weight wise) BUT I'm not convinced that she received as much focus from Jillian as the other team members did? It all comes down to editing, but I wonder if Jillian didn't hold out much hope for Kelly, as the only person Kelly seemed to 'bash' was herself, and therefore, Jillian focused on others with a more competitive attitude? I don't agree with this if it was an issue. If anything, Kelly should have received the MOST concentration? I've seen mucho improvement in her self confidence tho, thank god for that! She didn't seem to go in with the 'I AM GOING TO WIN' attitude that others did, and I think that hurt her? Despite all that, she has done achieved so much and she should be very proud of herself....

On another note, re a separate link, there was reference to her ex hubby kind of dragging her down...I totally agree with that comment...I don't think he did her any good as a supporter or a motivator and she did much better on her own. It's funny, I recall when the contestants got to go home, and there was Kelly's ex, with his new lady love who was probably even bigger than Kelly ever was, and he was chowing down on the ribs and all other greasy things lol.....that was a great indicator to me that this boy needed to go home...I suspect that out of all of the contestants, the ex husband will have lost the least....and for the life of me, I can't remember his name, but it will hit me as soon as i finish this post lol.

Ali or Kelly to win, either woman would be GREAT with me.
judy13
Hi,
I don't think Kelly should win. She has not tried as hard as everyone else. All she does is see the negative in everything. She never see's the glass half full. For example, when they got back on the range, she wanted to relax after the flight. She didn't like the ideal that she had to get ready for the next event.

It would be nice to see a woman win (Ali) for a change. But if Mark or Roger win I'm happy for them as well. But, we know either Mark or Roger isn't winning. If their could be three winners-I would be pulling for the three of them(Not Kelly at all). They have given alll the have to themself & the show.
annie208
One more thought about Kelly: do we know how much time elapses between their last show on the ranch and the finale? It seems to me its about 3 months, and usually, the contestants all come back looking like shadows of their former selves. If this is the case, Ali and Mark have lost just about all the weight they could possibly lose and stay healthy. Roger has a bit of a ways to go, but Kelly could surprise us all by coming back to the finale and being super thin. Since she was the largest girl, her percentage of weight loss could be tremendous if she went home and was really serious about this whole thing. Don't count her out!

She is not the largest lady ever on the show. That title goes to Isabeau who was 298 at the start of season 4. Kelly was the largest lady of this season, but she was only four pounds heavier than Jenni and ten pounds heavier than Bette-Sue.

I don't get this "conspiracy" theory at all. First off, people were harping that they thought Jillian spent all her time with Brit and none of it with Kelly, etc. And yet Brit was having an extremely hard time losing a ton of weight like the others. So how would it factor that if Jillian spent more time with Kelly, that she would necessarily lose bigger amounts.

Secondly, there is no evidence whatsoever to support this theory that Jillian spends more time with one contestant than another. We see all of maybe 10 minutes of them working out each episode. They spent 6 hours a day in the gym. So if you assume that a week was a week there, and that they did get one day off from the gym (which is my understanding), that means that there were approx 36 hours of gym time each week. That means that we see approximately 0.463% of what goes on in the gym.

And lastly, we know that Kelly had fertility issues because it was discussed at the first hospital visit. Fertility issues = hormonal issues. Women with hormonal issues have an extreme tendency towards gaining weight and having a much harder time losing weight (men too, just so no one thinks I think it is a one gender issue). So it is possible, and likely even probable, that Kelly hasn't been pulling those huge numbers because her body was still imbalanced. If and when they can get her back in balance, she will likely be able to lose weight a bit more efficiently.

lol...well saying I am promoting a 'conspiracy theory' suggests that I think this was all 'conspired' ahead of time...nope, not true...I was basically just thinking out loud so to speak as to why Kelly has not dropped more weight. Yep, she might have hormonal issues, no doubt, but given her history, one would think the medical team would have checked her out......who knows.
I commend Kelly for what she has achieved.....I just wish she could have lost even more weight while on the show.
No conspiracies, just thoughts. Who knows except the trainers and competitors about the time each trainer spends with each player? I stand by my opinion that PERHAPS Jillian found some of the others easier to work with due to more competitive attitudes and self confidence and downright determination....which Kelly did not demonstrate from day one.

Wow - I guess I need to get off these boards if I want to be surprised at the finale. I am glad to hear
Kelly is doing well because she is the one I want to win, but I do want to be surprised. After reading
the other post about the extreme things the past contestants did prior to the finale to lose as much
as possible, it makes me sad for them. I just hope Kelly is doing it the right way!! GO KELLY!!!

Great for Kelly! I've said all along that she would be the one to contend with at the end of this competition. She just squeaked by every week and isn't overtly competitive so I think everyone just disregarded her as a threat. When her numbers came in last weigh in, we did a dance of joy in front of the t.v. I just love it when the longshot wins!
