SAY NO TO DRUGS – BEAU BRIDGES AND MICHAEL PENA GUEST STAR – With Earl (Jason Lee) still in a coma, Randy (Ethan Suplee) and Joy (Jaime Pressly) decide to continue crossing items off Earl’s list to improve his recovery. Earl’s parents went on a vacation and left the house to Earl and Randy. Upon returning early from the airport due to a flight delay they found a duffel bag full of marijuana in the house. Carl (Beau Bridges), Earl’s dad, is very mad and destroys all of it. Only to find Earl, Joy and Randy return home with an angry drug dealer holding a gun demanding his entire duffel bag full of weed back. Carl, reluctantly, was left with no other decision than to buy back all the marijuana from the local drug dealer, Circus (Michael Pena). What will Randy do to amend this situation? Or is this a task that Earl can resolve just by listening to his father? Eddie Steeples and Nadine Velazquez also star.

Have I mentioned lately how much I love Beau Bridges? I had a big crush on him when I was a teenager. He's still handsome.

ah I just watched Earl. I have to say that this was one of the best ones they've done. I so

beau bridges in this one. And did any of you catch the lebowski comment? Jeff bridges played the Big Lebowski (sp).
Jamie pressly is so freakin good. I hope she gets another nod for a emmy. She had me laughing out loud trying to buy all that stuff with a handbag stuffed with pot.
Earls little smile at the end...

I can't feel my head carpet!

yes, this episode was definitely back on the right track. great guest stars, etc. and i find it funny how "PC" they are about pot.. something tells me earl probably would've toked up a bit. but carl at woodstock was pretty funny...
i also caught the "lebowski" reference... i've always thought (& pretty sure i've mentioned it here) that jeff bridges would make a great guest star as a "dude"-type, crazy uncle. list item: stole a ring off a dead man's finger (maybe a younger earl was talked into it by his no-good uncle).

Hey Brothers,
Hey Earl, how's it going bro, dig the show. You need to wake up from your coma and get back to the list and making us laugh hysterically. I have a bit of a bug up my butt about tonight's episode though. Whats up with demonizing weed? I thought Jason Lee would be more sensitive to this problem. Could'nt the writers have used Meth, herion, cocaine or LSD as the prop drug. Its a fact that hemp can replace all petro-chemical products such as plastics, gasoline, paints just to name a few of the most toxic! I do understand the drug war and all it pro's and con's. But to keep lumping it in with hard drugs, guns and violence just perpetuates the evil drug myths of reefer madness times and the 1937 tax stamp act. I know not everyone agree's with what I am writing, but I feel it needed to be said. Remember KARMA is watching, whom I'm sure has compassion and wisdom to understand the power of this plant. As a dude in a wheelchair (Quadraplegic) I know the benefits and the struggle of trying to change the minds of those who don't see the benefits to the envirornment and those who are sick. I am not a spokesman for anybody, this is just one mans opinion.
Thanx for listening

I like the stories where they focus on earl and his family. For him to actually go back and fix things he did as a kid, that's a cool idea really since no one really does that type of thing in sitcoms and the way Earl goes about it is just so funny and orginal. I hope there are more stories like this. Plus i like seeing Beau bridges
