ALLISON’S STRUGGLE TO CONNECT SEVERAL "ACCIDENTAL" DEATHS PUTS HER HEALTH IN JEOPARDY -- Allison (Emmy winner Patricia Arquette) struggles to see the connection between several recent "accidental" deaths after experiencing visions of Scanlon (David Cubitt) and girlfriend Lynn DiNovi's (guest star Tina DiJoseph) friend dying in a home mishap and a scary trip to the hospital herself. Meanwhile, Joe (Jake Weber) must find a cheap, inventive answer to Marie's (Miranda Carabello) need for glasses after she tricks the optometrist.

Tonight's ep, Where was Ariel?

Alison called for Ariel on tonight's show but she never showed up. Why weren't all 3 girls on tonight's show? Only Bridget and her sister were on the show. Is Ariel off the show?? She has always been my favorite of her daughters.
GetTogether78
Where is she? This is not the first time she has been missing from an episode this season. I'm worried!
navywife24
I too am wondering where Ariel is. This is the second show she has not been on. I'm glad Joe's wrist is so much better too!

I am not sure about Ariel, but I do have a couple ?'s about tonight. Who was watching the kids while they were at the hospital...and why was Allison affected by the pills? Was someone out to get her or Joe? The show did not answer that for me.

Questions about april 21st ep

Who was watching the kids when they went to the hospital? And why was Allison affected by the pills? Was someone out to get her or Joe and it was not yet revealed? If only specific people were affected and targeted why was she affected? Love to hear your thoughts.

Calling for Ariel was to imply that Ariel was off camera in her room or somewhere else in their house.

Allison was affected by the pills as a sign that it was the medication that was causing the deaths. huh.gif

There are some great quotes from this episode.

While Detective Lee Scanlon is talking to Allison on the telephone discussing calling an ambulance for the first dead woman...the deputy mayor's cousin...Scanlon tells Allison that he is getting out of the bed (since she was telling him about a dream she just had, seeing him and his girlfriend in bed) "Allison close your eyes. I'm getting out of bed and I don't have on any clothes". blush.gif

When Allison was asking Joe about the woman he has joined in partnership to devolop his solar powered invention, she asks him if she is married. In response to the question,"Is she wearing a ring?" Joe said that he didn't notice. Joe said,"It's a boy thing. We don't notice rings. We pee standing up."

I would like to thank the writers for showing the frustration that an average family experiences with the health care industry in this episode.

Allison is being wheeled into the hospital on the gurney from the ambulance and Joe looks distraught. The Triage Nurse calls out to him to leave his wife and come give billing information. Yes we all want to abandon a sick loved one in distress to give our very personal info to a complete stranger who may steal our identities at this time of crisis. Later the same Hospital employee says to Joe, (paraphrase) Well I'll try your credit cards, but if they do not have enough money on them I don't know if we can treat your wife. "Are you sure you don't have health insurance?" Obviously, they think that this is something that we could forget about. Later a very confused Resident tries to tell Joe that Allison is fine while stumbling over his words and facts. Hospitals nowadays are staffed by adolescents with adult titles. Later in the episode, the Opthamologist cuts Joe off in mid sentance repeatedly when he is trying to ask questions about his daughters eye exam. This is after the Opthomologist has already been paid cash money.

I do not know how many people watching the show picked up on these bitter annoyances. But they struck a cord at our home.

AudienceMember, I'm with you over your frustrations with our healthcare system. The eye doctor reminded me of my pulmonologist, who I can barely have a 2-minute conversation with. God forbid I ask any questions, because that takes too much of his time.

I think, though, with the resident stammering to Joe--I think he was just very puzzled as to why Allison had come to the ER in the first place, because she was merely sleeping. I think that was why he was hesitant and at a loss for words.

i think I read somewhere that the actress that plays Ariel is off doing a movie and will return to Medium. I don't think she has left the show, just temporary fo this movie. I don't know any more than that.

It would've been better if Marie started singing what he was hearing. XD
