EVERYONE HAS A SECRET--EXPLOSIVE SEASON FINALE GUEST STARRING STEVE BUSCEMI (“Fargo,” “The Big Lebowski”) AND STANLEY TUCCI (“The Devil Wears Prada”)-Gate’s (John Stamos) worries that his relationship with Sam (Linda Cardellini) may not be as serious as he thought. A drunk and very mysterious patient (guest star Steve Buscemi) comes into the ER and threatens the safety of everyone at County General. Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) feels confident about his interview for the position as chief. Meanwhile, Kovac (Goran Visnjic) is shocked when Moretti (guest star Stanley Tucci) pays him a visit at the hospice. Maura Tierney and Scott Grimes also star.

They're so vague with this episode description. I know it's probably because they want to leave some suspense but a little more detail wouldn't hurt. JMO.

I'm pleased to see a Moretti/Luka meeting. Thank you writers. Hopefully it will be all talk and no fisticuffs from Luka.

Just saw the the preview for this episode. Someone got hit (probably Moretti). Abby and Moretti get a chance to talk. I like the two of them as a couple but Abby would never consider getting with him. She partially blames Moretti for her martial problems.

Me? I'm hoping for some fists from Luka. Moretti deserves it.

Moretti was Abby's BOSS. Abby was drunk. Moretti was FULLY aware that Abby is a married woman. That makes him a triple sleazeball in my book. *shrug*

And again. Ick to Abby and Moretti as a "couple". Just...Ick.

That REALLY looked like Luka throwing a punch to me.

And, hopefully, it connects with Moretti's face! LOL!

Oh boy, if Luka punches out Moretti that will MAKE the whole season for me. I really hope he does.

It's too bad, because I loved Moretti until he slept with Abby. Then he just turned into this rotten snake. BALD, rotten snake.

I guess I'm just a hopeless ER fan!!! I would love if it would stay on forever. But I know it will eventually end. And a "reunion" type episode would be great with Carter, Doug, Elizabeth, Mark and all of the original people. They were the greatest. I would like to see all the old people and new people stories wrapped up. I really hope they are playing when they say it is the last season. I hope that it is not because of ratings either, because this show has been on so long that would be tragic.

I really hope the episode is better than that sypnopsis.

But by the looks of the trailer from last week, it should be good.

I'm there with you, the past season or two seems to brought ER back to the way it used to be, great writing, and has me crying at least once before each episode is over. Kudos to the writers and am glad they are back full force, and to the actors/actresses making it all come to fruition. Love it being full of all the emotions and suspense, and have enjoyed the development of the newer characters like Morris, god last weeks episode was awesome!!! Although will be sad to see Abby and Luka split for good, I hope they don't.................crossing my fingers. Please say it's not true and continue on with the show, I know they always like to end a series on a high note, but not when you're leaving us wanting more! I want more than just one more season, how about everyone else??

Neela + Brenner = Gutted!!! Gutted!!! Gutted!!!

My little roomie heart has just flatlined! I can't take this anymore. How could Neela do this? To all the loyal roomie fans who have stayed true to this ship, I love and respect you all and I wish you all the best. But I just can't put up with this nonsense anymore. Neela has not evolved, she has devolved. Neela has not progressed, she has regressed. She is not ready for a serious relationship with anyone much less Ray. She needs to get her head and her life together first. She doesn't deserve Ray at this time in her life. Ray was able to finally mature, and grow and give his heart to someone. He was clear about what he felt for Neela. Neela on the other hand hasn't reached that point. I have to be honest. At this point, I don't even think it makes any sense to bring Ray back. It won't be convincing to believe that Neela is in love with him. It would seem too fake and forced and would lead to an unsatisfactory ending. A lot of work needs to be done to lead up to any "Ray I love you scene". I don't understand who Neela is anymore. Between her hockey playing, goofing around with Harold, impersonating movie personalities, pretending Ray doesn't exist, and constantly crying for god knows what reason, and now having sex with Brenner, Neela seems to be schizophrenic. Anyway, I can't comment on the episode right now because my heart has been broken in a million pieces.

Hmmm....Neela and Brenner..yuk! I feel your pain and disappointment, G-unit! Has Neela learned nothing after the fiasco with Gates? Seemed so much like deja vu last year when she and Gates had a make out session after he was grilled about a patient in some kind of conference. What a waste of a season for her character....to end up being another notch on Brenner's belt...

I personally didn't see one bit of spark or chemistry between Parminder Nagra and David Lyons. I so hope they don't go that route with them next season because it would be vomit inducing.

I honestly wasn't that bothered by Neela jumping on Brenner. He was dead-on... she DID need to... well, get laid. I have felt really sorry for her character and how lonely she is. She can use Brenner in the same manner he used half a dozen other women in the past few episodes already. As long as she doesn't get "feelings" for him, one fast moment of release means nothing.

At best, Brenner will actually appear to be a human being if he shows interest in Neela AFTER this, and maybe we can have the pleasure of watching her ignore him all next season and then break his heart if Ray happens to come along and sweep her off her feet back to Baton Rouge with him.

to who ever said they were hoping for a reunion episode i am too but... mark can not be in it because he died in the series so it wouldnt amke sense for him to come back...but i want an amazing last season im really sad its going but at least some justice has been done bc it is going out in the proper way with a final season and good ratings...im hoping for a final reuinion season...i want carter to come back he can and in real life (i cant rememeber his name) but hes not doing anything so he def shoudl come back... and the season finale was amazing i was not expecting a blow up... so sad either sam or pratt died?? but i def thought they were gonna shoot the patient... ahhhh i love er

The season finale was ********!!!! I love the drama but hate the wait!!!! Lucca and Abby are my loves, there is no way after all her mistakes they are going to take her from him!!! I don't know how I am going to make it until next season!

ITA, Galaxy! After the way Brenner has treated women since he has started, it would be poetic justice to see him be the one getting treated like crap. He did the same thing to Laverne, so it would be great to see him think something is going to happen with him and Neela and she rejects him. Then to have to possibly see her with Ray. I completely agree with you.

Ok so this was the season finale, how many episodes do we have left? And if the show is supposedly ending when is this supposed to happen? I am an addict of this show...the one and only show I just won't miss! I was so happy to see a resolution between Abby and Luca, and it also showed us how they are going to be leaving... and I know it was the season finale, but OMG! What a cliff hanger! I can't imagine them killing off Pratt...but I could see Sam leaving the show too...and I really don't like what they are doing to Neela's character... she used to be so strong and a go getter - now she's turned into this helpless woman who needs man to qualify her... where is Ray when we need him! Anyone know when the show comes back in the fall? I don't know how long I can last without it! LOL! Guess there's always reruns! LOL!

Can I just say OMG!!!! I stopped breathing and couldnt believe what had just happened.. The episode overal was ok, it didnt seem like season finale material but the ending caught my breath.. Now I am really scared for what happened... I just hope that both Pratt and Sam went inside the hospital for one to gather there stuff before going with. OMG!!!! Cause obviously no one would survive a explosion like that.. How could 4 people leave ER in one season finale?? OMG... I am in shock, disbelief and sad..

I just watch the episode tonight and I am speechless. Now what is going on? It came to me unexpectently. I am a watcher of 13 years of ER and never missed an episode. I hate the suspense of waiting till the next show. Anyone know when the next one will be on. There was no previews for the next season and I have heard in the grapevine that ER is ending totally.

I can not stop laughing that the best reela rant ever, you are so right. OMG they have really cheapen her to the hilt.

When I saw Brenner and Neela exchange glances earlier in the program, I said to myself "Please God dont tell me the writers are going put these two together." When the two of them walked into the room together I thought again, "please, please don't do this". Well they did it. I was hoping that Neela would at least but a smooch on Durbrenko to keep him from leaving, no such luck, Neela wanted to romp with Brenner - Dubrenko loses again.

G-Unit, I'm really feeling for you, you have put so much of your heart and time into Neela and Ray and to see Neela go back down Tony Road again ......... and no Ray in sight. Hopefully there will be news this summer about Shane. Given what happened tonight with Neela Shane/Ray would have to come back for a multi-episode appearance to get Neela out this deep dysfunction she is in. Hang on Roomies!!!! I know we just got kicked in the teeth but let's see what develops with Shane and ER over the summer. TPTB have to bring some closure to Reela, they can't end it like this.

Thanks for the positivity Galaxy. But honestly, it doesn't work for me. This is the exact same childish and futile thing Neela did last season with Gates. The exact same scenario. Go to an M & M, argue with the hot shot doctor, and then jump his bones. Yeah, that shows a lot of maturity. It definitely screams how much she is ready to love someone. Yeah right!!!

Please tell me that abby wasn't killed in that explosion! That can't be the way she leaves the show, especially after she just made up with Luka. I would hate to see Sam or Pratt get killed too, but I would be really upset if Abby left that way.

I logged in to type in vomit inducing, but I see others beat me to it. I think I actually threw up a bit in my mouth when I saw that scene! What on earth is wrong with Neela this season? She used to be my favourite, now I can't stand her! Did anyone else expect her to show a bit more emotion about what happened with Ray last season - she just seemed completely heartless all season, and then starts crying for no reason, and now this.

I enjoyed seeing the sensitive and non-clownish side of Morris again---wish he would've been in the episode more!

I think Buscemi is cool in whatever he does; liked his guest spot.

As for the Brenner/Neela hook-up--I truly hope this isn't a long-term thing....or the start of him "changing his ways" to impress her....that's been done before. I just hope that she realizes it was a mistake and this jolts Neela into realizing that she needs to wake up and deal with her problems.

Abby- I didn't want her to leave ER. she was my favorite character

Pratt/Sam- I kind of hope it was sam. I am starting to like Pratt. Sam isn't really doing anything for me. Plus it was stupid how she got so pissed at Abby a few epis back. Pretty sure it was sam*

Neela-I really thought for some reason Neela was going to be leaving this episode. I just had that feeling last week when I saw the preview. Not really liking her character anymore. She seems kind of slu... well you know.

Wasn't really paying attention for the Dubenko thing. Wasn't expecting him to go, but I am not really upset over his character leaving. Never really got attached to his character.

Overall it was a good series finale. Can't wait to see how they wrap up the series next season. Want to see carter back for sure with makemba.

I sure hope they don't take her off. I heard this is the final show for ER because they are going off the air for good. Has anyone heard that rumor? I sure hope its not true

I really doubt Abby was killed. The explosion look relatively contained to the ambulance. If anything she probably has minor injuries. Which will make her want to get away from here even more and leave with Luka. I am glad she is leaving on a good note.

I am pretty sure it was Sam that died. I posted my reasoning in the 14.19 thread but will post it below here as well. BRB to copy and paste it.

I can't believe this episode! I had to turn away in disbelief when Neela and Brinner started making out. I'm a true fan, since the beginning, but Neela has just disappointed me for the last time. I wish she were a strong, indepentant, woman who could handle whatever came her way. Unforutantely, she isn't. She whines about being alone and not having a real purpose in her life but she uses a relationship to define who she is. Since she's not in a relationship than she has no purpose. She needs to get herself together and make a life for herself. If she should get with anyone, I would like to see her with Dubenko. I think he could really lover her and get her to grow up.

I want to know, who went on the ride along?!! I heard that Phifer was leaving the show, that would suck if this is how the write him off. I hope Abbey is ok. I'm so glad that Luka and Abbey worked things out and got back together. Moretti got what was coming to him. It was nice to see Luka get so passionate about his marriage. I hope they come back next season.

I never want ER to end!! The only other NBC show that had my attention like ER was JourneyMan, and it doesn't look like their bringing that back. What will they do when all the good shows are gone? I guess there's always My Name Is Earl.

I just hate Brenner. And Neela is rather meretricious lately. I don't really care about her character anymore.

G-Unit - you've put my thoughts into words perfectly! I just wish TPTB made it clear earlier in the season that there was nothing left between Neela and Ray (for this season anyway). They said Ray and Neela's relationship was "open-ended" about 15 times in various interviews and will be addressed. What exactly was left open-ended about them this season?

Ray left, and we did not once see Neela miss him, visit him, talk to him, write to him or even talk about him on screen. The conversation she had with Katey doesn't count because she just insulted him. So yes, I would have been a lot happier if they'd just told the truth and said, "Ray' gone for good and no, we won't address him, and no Neela's not in any way traumatised about what happened to him. That's right - she simply doesn't care."

I'm really not liking Neela at all right now, and given that she used to be my favourite character on the show, it doesn't bode well for me watching next season (especially with many of the other cast members I like leaving as well.)

Now that the rant is over (believe me, that was the abridged version!), I like Galaxy's optimism. Makes me look at it as more of a joke, a glitch, than a great disaster!

I was glad to see they resolved Abby/Luka THIS season. I wasn't sure I would be able to wait until next fall. I didn't get the scenes I really wanted, and if those were Goran's last scenes, he got ROBBED. But...it was sweet to see that the two of them are going to work it out, and that they're going to keep moving forward as a couple. I had to laugh when Luka was trying to formulate his rowboat metaphor, and Abby had to correct him. It was such a classic Abby/Luka moment, and completely sweet. I'm going to really miss his Croatian dorkiness next season.

Loved the Moretti/Luka scene. Wish it were longer though. I didn't much care what Moretti the Yeti had to say, but Luka's lines were priceless. "You've got some balls showing up here" <insert random rambling and excuses from the Yeti> "Are you finished?" "Yeah." "Good." POW! "Thank you for stopping by." Good stuff, man.

The rest of the episode was just "eh" for me. I love Steve Buschemi, and he was terrific tonight. Loved Pratt's trying to keep the buying of an engagement ring "secret". Uh...note to Greg. You're in the ER. Do you REALLY think you can keep a secret? Especially when you involve FRANK of all people?

Neela and Brenner just irritates me. Not because I'm a Ray/Neela fan, I just can't stand Brenner, and I think Neela's character deserves better.

And is it wrong that I'm SO COMPLETELY OVER Sam and Gates already? I hope she got blown up. Ok, maybe not that harsh. But she drives me batty. Ugh.

I think the new season usually starts in September/October.

Really?? I was bothered by it, for sure. First of all, when did a spontaneous moment of random sex with a practical stranger become the appropriate response to life's problems? If she's lonely, let her be lonely. Deal with it, Neela. It's not an excuse to go get laid. And in any case, much of Neela's loneliness is her own doing. Whatever, I am so over Neela. And somehow I don't see Brenner as the type who will feel used b/c Neela jumped his bones.

I figured the writers would use Brenner to keep Neela busy and create conflict in the event that Ray comes back next season, but I did not expect to see this tonight -- I was hoping they'd sort of flirt around with the sexual tension next season in time for Ray to come in and save the day. But now, what would be the point of a roomie reunion next season? Like G said, would we even believe that she had any lingering feelings left for Ray? The writers did NOTHING this season to establish that Neela missed him, or that something went down between them to make her all depressed and weepy. What was the point of the S.13 finale? Nothing ever came of Neela's promise to Ray. She is seriously confused, self-righteous and selfish. She was always down on everyone else if they didn't do the right thing, but she didn't do right by Ray. I don't know who she is anymore.
