Are there any other Canadians on here? I wish they had a Canada's Got Talent. I am a singer but I am 28 and too old for Canadian Idol. Canada never gets the good shows!

Agreed. I would love a Canada's got Talent! However it does sort of bother me that we (Canada) don't really have any original shows. Most of our reality/talent shows are copies of american shows (eg. Canadian Idol, Canada's next top model) Oh well that's just my opinion.

the americas got talent page at nbc. The one that gets you here if you go the long way. The one where you print the forms and stuff from. They changed the way the page looks, gave it a makeover. It's real nice, They're getting things ready to begin the show. They're still advertising that you can send in a tape for the final audition. I wonder what it is they're looking for??? hmmm.

Very good post there Queenfish! I know right.Besides, comedians and magicians can get boring at times,especially when the person is boring.They don't know what a great singer is when they heard one.I wanna hear more singers too.But you really can't tell them agt people nothing.It goes and comes out of their ears.I think they need to have separate shows,one for singers,musicians,actors,models,and then one for comedians and magicians.It would only be fair.Especially for the ones who are too old for American Idol.Singers and musicians are supposed to be very important too.

But I saw many acts on BGT that could have won just as easily as George. If BGT is any indication of AGT this year, then we'e in for a real treat.

I have tried to inquire with NBC since the end of Season 1, but can't get an answer.... Does anyone know when Season 1 will be out on DVD? I was in the audience during episode rapping Granny and the whole Finale'.... ANY help is greatly appreciated.

I live in Denver, Colorado and want to put on a local fundraising Talent Show for a local cancer nonprofit. Would it be illegal to use the name "Denver's Got Talent"? If so, how can I get permission to use that name?

Wondering whether the Atlanta episodes are airing first?

At the audition show we went to in atlanta, they said our session would be first, but I think they may say that to all of the audiences!!!

They should want to publisize that, so that they will encourage local vewership.

All I have to say is you have issues that I think you need to sort out. All that was said was that they wish there was show like this in Canada. If you feel so strongly about how you feel then maybe you should talk to your own goverment

how about this idea NBC? instead of waiting a WHOLE year to air another cycle of AGT, why don't you bring the show back in the FALL, maybe as a mid-season replacement and bring back 10 of the most promising talents from the first three seasons that did not win and have them go at it for a shot at the MILLION and a show in VEGAS??? basically a BEST of the BEST AGT season!!!

instead of trying to bring on new shows that will end up on the chopping block after one airing, you might as well work with what you have and AGT is pretty much a sure thing...PLUS, it would be a great segway into AI, even though I know that isn't on your network but at least for us viewers, the withdrawals wouldn't be as bad...

I'd be really surprised if he laster that long.

That's still a boat load of money though. At 7 shows a week, he'll bring in $275,000 a show.

My problem is that the math isn't working out for me.
Let's say they charge $150 a ticket (crazy, but not unusual for Vegas), they'd have to sell 1,834 tickets PER show, just to pay his fee alone. No way a casino is going to stand for breaking even on anything that takes people off the casino floor. They'd need to sell at least 2,500 tickets to come close to breaking even.

Considering Terry is currently performing at venues such as the Las Vegas Hilton which has a capacity of 1,700 people, I can't imagine he can sell out a 2,500 seat theater consistently for 5 years.

I desperately would like to surprise my son, a major fan of the show, with tickets to the season finale in Las Vegas. Can anyone tell me where I could get them or what venue the show is going to be at? it would be greatly appreciated!!!!

Just wanted to correct my math before someone else does. Terry would be making $55,000 per show (I calculated for 1 year rather than 5 - oops). So, I guess the casino would still make money, but I still don't think he'll last.

Granted AGT is a show that uses a lot of resources, at the end of the first episode when the judges left to go to their "PRIVATE JET" I had issues with it.
Like I said they use a lot of resources, so being green is quite hard. One thing that did not need to be seen or known was that each of the judges took a seperate limo to a private jet. One of two things, that could have been omitted or they could have all taken a town car together and flown first class off a commercial liner. If NBC is promoting for us to be green shouldn't NBC shows follow what they are preaching. Isn't it hypocritical to show the obvious abuse of resources that the show uses. NBC needs to put some "Green" standards to the shows before they even start recording.
Like I said it could have been omitted from the show. I do feel all stars do the same thing, having their own separate modes of transport, but it did not need to be shown. I guess this means I can leave my lights on , my A/C on all the time even when I am not home and I don't need to recycle anymore. If the stars/ producers/ creators/ and owners of shows and companies aren't doing it, then why should I?
Now that I have ranted enough about it, NBC and/ or America's Got Talent, what do you do/ are you doing in being "Green" ? That end scene of the first show, shows, from my point of view, I see nothing in being "Green".

Instead of showing audience/judges/host/family member reaction during a
performance, perhaps, you can show the performance in its entirety while
showing audience/judges/host/family member reaction on a split screen.
Some performances are too good to miss even a second or two. If you
add up all the times reactions are shown, they add up to at least 25% of
the performance.

I am going to be in Las Vegas August 5-8, 2008. Does anyone know if America's Got Talent will be there during those dates? What theater are they performing in? How do get tickets to be in the audience?

I think they use the same set everywhere, so they can edit each act into whichever city they want. I've heard a few people mention, both this season and last, that acts auditioned in different cities than the show said. Acts are also not aired in the order they auditioned.

Last season, Jerry Springer joined the show after the initial auditions were completed. They added an extra audition (Houston I think) so they could get footage of Jerry with the crowds. That footage was later edited into multiple episodes and passed off as being in whatever city that episode focused on.

The show uses a lot of creative/deceptive editing throughout.

Okay, I have seen myself in THREE episodes so far, and I would like to watch them again online as I am still in the dark ages and do not have TIVO and don't set my DVD to record. I may have been on again last night, but I had a family emergency and could not be home to watch.
PLEASE, Idalia, or other mods, let me know where I can find these episodes to watch. I drove a lot of hours to an audition, stayed up all night, waited in line in the cold and the dark, and did everything you all asked of me. The least you could do for me and other performers who did the same is to let us know where we can watch the shows online. Give a sister a break.
